I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 9:23, “At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:”
My Dear Brother And Sister, Here in the above context we see how the angel, Gabriel announces that he had come to bring Daniel an answer to his prayer. At the beginning of his supplications, we are not informed at what time Daniel began to pray, but as remarked above, it is most natural to suppose that he devoted the day to prayer, and since he was a man of prayer, God revealed to Daniel the stewardship of the revelation of the seventy weeks prophesy. Daniel was the object of God’s love because he was a man of Word and prayer. He based his prayer on the Word. He understood the principle of fellowship with God and how to get into fellowship by confession. God revealed many things to Daniel. Both Daniel and the Apostle John were noted for their love-relationship with God. Both Daniel and John were also noted for receiving amazing prophetic messages. The Bible says, “ No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. Now there was one leaning on the bosom of Jesus, a disciple whom Jesus loved. He was none other than John the disciple to whom Jesus entrusted His mother before his death.
An answer was immediately sent to Daniel’s prayer, and it is a very memorable one. We cannot now expect that God would send answers to our prayers by angels, but if we pray with fervency for that which God has promised, we may by faith take the promise as an immediate answer to the prayer; for He is faithful that has promised. Daniel had a far greater and more glorious redemption discovered to him, which God wanted to work out for his church in the latter days. Those who would be acquainted with Christ and His grace, must be much in prayer. Daniel’s prayer was accepted; and for the sake of that, this glorious discovery of redeeming love was made to him. The seventy weeks prophesy was revealed to Daniel. About the end of this period a sacrifice would be offered, making full atonement for sin, and bringing in everlasting righteousness for the complete justification of every believer, refers to the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. All blessings bestowed on sinful man comes through Christ’s atoning sacrifice, who suffered once for our sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. Thus paving our way of access to the throne of grace, and of our entrance to heaven.
We need the discipline to walk with God. A regular habit of prayer will strengthen our spiritual life. Select a particular place of worship in your house where it will be comfortable to communicate with God without any disturbance. Business should not blunt our prayer life. Daniel held a high position in Babylon, yet he found time for prayer and Bible reading. The Bible says, Daniel prayed three times a day. As Daniel’s prayer focused on the character of God, so should our prayers do the same. God’s righteousness is His absolute integrity. He always conforms to His own attributes and character. He is faithful to His covenants (contracts) with His people. We should never ask God in prayer to renounce His righteousness, for the goal of intercessory prayer is God’s glory. All prayer should contribute to God’s glory and His name.
To those of you reading this message must realize that God answered the prayer of Daniel as soon as he called on the name of the Lord. Prayer has power. How is your prayer life? Many Christians find it helpful to have resources (the Bible and other materials) to supplement their prayer lives. These help us to keep ourself away from distraction, engage our minds, and enrich the content of our prayers. Consequently, as our prayer life grows, so does our worship and learning of Christ. As our relationship grows, our gifts and skills grow, our meaning and motive for prayer develops. When you pray God hears your prayer as He heard the prayer of Daniel and blessed him with extraordinary wisdom, understanding and gave him visions. When you pray God will reveal Himself to you. He will teach and instruct you in the way you should go. He will bless you with offspring. He will meet all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He will teach you to be content in life. You will have a close relationship with God then no weapon formed against you will prosper. No tongue will rise against you. No one will be able to stand against you, all the days of your life. God will protect you from the hands of your enemies. You will triumph in all that you do. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we praise and exalt Your holy Name. You are in heaven and do what pleases You. We are the workmanship of Your hands. Help us to be like Daniel who had separated time for prayer though he held a high post in the Babylonian Government. Enrich us with Your Word. Refine our thoughts, attitude and intentions of our heart according to Your will.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Psalm 119: 49.50, “Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived me.’’
From the above context we find that the focus of Psalm 119 is the wonderful Word of God. The Psalmist has discovered that the word of God, is a lamp to his feet and a guiding light to direct his pathway. He expresses sheer delight that God’s Word is forever and is firmly established in the heavens. No wonder he pleads, “Quicken me, according to thy Word, O Lord.”The Psalmist discovered that the unfolding of God’s Word gives wisdom and understanding to the simple and becomes a hiding place in times of trouble. It is a shield through life’s difficulties, sweeter to the taste than honey, and God has placed His Word above His holy name. Knowing the value of Scripture, the Psalmist has wisely hidden God’s Word deep within in his heart, meditating upon it day and night – that he might not sin against the Lord. He says, “Lord Remember your words to your servant, for you have given me hope.” God’s word had given him hope.
The written Word of God is food for the soul, for man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. And Scripture unfolds God’s amazing, redemptive plan to save His people from their sin. Indeed, it is the Bible that reveals to us that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that by believing on Him we may have eternal life – for He is the Word made flesh, and dwelt among men, and He willingly became the sacrifice for our sin. The Psalmist reveals the great consolation and comfort that comes from reading the Word of God. He tells us that God’s Word has become a solace in times of difficulty and distress, and that it refreshes and revives him when weary and discouraged:
“This is my comfort in my affliction,” he confesses, “that Your Word has revived me.” It was by faith in God’s Word, that saints in the past were reckoned by God as righteous.
We are to be filled with the Spirit of God. We are exhorted to meditate on His Word, day and night – teaching, admonishing, and comforting one another in all wisdom. We are to sing God’s Word with psalms, in hymns and spiritual songs – and by His grace, we are encouraged to make melody in our hearts to the Lord. We live in a world, where we are increasingly compelled to face difficulties, dangerous afflictions, and persecution. Let us never forget the comfort and solace that can be received, moment by moment from the Word of God, as we abide in him and him in us. The more we read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and meditate upon the Word of God, the more real His love towards us becomes and the closer, His presence within us is known. The more we abide in Christ – Who is the living Word, of God, the more He is revealed to us through His written Word, It is only as we walk in spirit and truth that we will increasingly discover the beauty and wonder of “God’s Word,” as expressed, so eloquently, in Psalm 119. Zgod bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for the wonderful written Word of God and the great comfort we receive from it. Help us to use our time wisely and delight to read, mark, learn, inwardly digest, and meditate on the Scriptures, night and day. Thank You that Your Word is light and life, comfort and joy, refreshment and sustenance, to all who are oppressed and weary.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The Blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Exodus 3: 7, 8, “The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. ”
From the above context we learn that God has come in the midst of you to redeem you from the hands of those who persecute you, like the Egyptian task masters, who tortured the people of Israel for 430 years. You may have gone through bitter experiences and God wants to deliver you from such kind of people and liberate you from fear and threat. Some of you have been troubled by your own husbands. Instead of keeping you happily they have tortured you. And you have suffered much in their hands. Today many wives torture their husbands. Many men are suffering silently in their hands, because of family prestige, family respect, and because of their good nature. Both husband and wife should love each other and respect each other, for what they are. Only then you can enjoy a peaceful family life. Where there is no unity there arises several problems and as a result the children suffer.
Often I have heard the husband or the wife complain about one another. The husband will say, “I have been sick but my wife doesn’t care for me.”There should be better understanding between each other, to lead a happy family. The wife might say, “I have been coughing from morning but my husband has ignored me.”My dear children of God, any one may ignore you, but the Lord knows what you are going through. The Lord says, “I will see it.”It does not matter who sees or does not see your problems, God sees your affliction. He hears the cry you make, while you struggle, in the hands of cruel people. There was a man called Jonah, he was in trouble, so he cried out to God, from the belly of a huge fish in the deep sea. He says. “Lord I cried out from the belly of hell, You heard me.”That means God will hear you from wherever you cry out for help. It does not matter if you are in the middle of the deep sea, or you are caught up or stuck in some deadly trap. Since Jonah was inside the belly of the fish, no one could see him. But the Lord saw him. And having heard his cry, he caused the fish to vomit him on the shores of the sea.
God in the same manner will hear your cry and answer you speedily. No matter how big your problem might be, He is able to save you to the uttermost. The Lord says, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me.’’ Again, He says, ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ God will solve all your problems. Just as God solved the problem of Jonah, God will solve your problem too. But you need to cry unto the Lord just as he cried from the belly of the fish. He will not only hear your cry but also rescue you from the difficult situation that you are caught up with. For with God it is a very trivial thing to do for you. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for saving Jonah from the belly of the fish. Teach us to cry out to God when we are in distress. We also remain grateful for saving the children of God from the hands of cruel people. Lord save us from being tortured by our own people. We are unable to share our affliction with others. You are God who hears our cry and also sees our brokenness of heart. Rescue us from those who torment us.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (Job 42:10).
The Lord proclaimed this about Job, “there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” (Job 1:8). Even satan was jealous over Job’s righteousness. He had to take permission from God to test Job. Satan struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. And he took for himself a piece of broken pottery to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes. Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9). He lost all his property and all his children in one day. In all this Job did not sin nor blame God. He just said,”The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21,22). Now when Job’s three friends heard of all his adversity that had come upon him, they came to mourn with him, and to comfort him. When they saw him, they did not recognize him, they lifted their voices and wept; and each one tore his robe and sprinkled dust on his head toward heaven. So, they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great (Job 2:12,13).
How did Job get deliverance from this grief? He longed for the freedom from all his problems, a change from his current misery. Even amidst all his grief he prayed for the welfare of his friends. God had mercy on Job and gave him twice as much as he had before. God blessed Job’s later life even more than his earlier life. He blessed him with abundance of livestock. The Bible says no women in all the land were as beautiful as Job’s daughters (Job 42:15).
A 26-year-old brother had written a letter of testimony. Due to some problems at work, he was fired. Totally distraught over this he consumed acid. They rushed him to the hospital, but every hospital they took him refused to admit him owing to his condition. Finally, one hospital accepted him but only after they took an undertaking that the hospital won’t be held responsible if he dies while giving treatment. It so happened that as soon as he was admitted in this barely alive condition this brother and his family were able to watch on “Subavaarthai TV” the program “Anbarin Kural”. Immediately the brother contacted our prayer tower by phone. A Telugu speaking prayer warrior prayed earnestly with tears for the brother. The same doctor, who had given up all hope on the brother’s survival, gave the assurance that they would save him. But he couldn’t give the assurance that he would speak. To everyone’s amazement he was perfectly healed after the treatment was finished.
Generally, when a person consumes acid, he will surely die. But God did a miracle for him when the prayer warriors interceded on his behalf and gave him back his life. Hallelujah!
Dearly beloved, are you filled with anguish facing adversity and anxious about your future? Have you been tearfully waiting endlessly at the Lord’s feet for a miracle? Delayed hope makes the heart sick, but fulfilled desire is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12). This is your appointed time of fulfillment for all your requests and supplications. The same God who who removed Job’s misfortune and gave him twice as much as he had before is close to you! When you delight yourself in Him, He will fulfill all your desires and wipe away all your tears! Do not be worried!
Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are grateful to You for Your mercies. Because of Your mercies we are not consumed. Help us to receive our blessings at Your appointed time. In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 119:92,” If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.”
From the above context we learn that the Psalmist David, delighted in the law of the Lord during his time of affliction. So he says, if it was not for the word of God, he would have perished in his affliction. That word which has preserved the heavens and the earth also preserves the people of God in their time of trial. We would have died in our sorrow and grief if the spiritual comforts of God’s word had not uplifted us; but by their sustaining influence we have borne all the depressions and despairs which naturally grow out of severe affliction.
If it had not been for the divine grace, of God, Our affliction would have crushed us out of existence, so that we would have perished. In our hard season nothing has kept us from desperation, but the promise of the Lord. When we become worn out with pain, it was the word of God, that had whispered to us its heart cheering assurance, and therefore our poor struggling mind has been able to repose upon the bosom of God. The Word “unless”; describes a horrible condition –of the Psalmist, and implies a glorious deliverance, for the psalmist did not die, but lived to proclaim the honours of the word of God.
Are you going through affliction? Are you struggling with mental depression? Is someone hurting you constantly, Are you filled with fear and anxiety? Does life seem to come to an end? What is your problem? Hold on to God’s word. Read the word with reverence and God would comfort you through His word. Whatever scaring situation you might be going through, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you think or ask for. The Bible says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”God Bless You.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for consoling and comforting David, through thy word, when he went through affliction. We too face a lot of problems in our life. Send Your word and comfort us too. Heal our wounds caused by people. Help us to overcome our grief and sorrow by the reading of God’s word.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
