Beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of James 1:5, “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
From the above context we learn that recognising our lack of wisdom is a wise step towards understanding. Scripture qualifies this by reminding us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the holy One brings understanding. Life is full of pitfalls and snares, and we often make wrong choices, but it is comforting to know that no matter what trials we may be called upon to face, or what foolish choices we have made in the past, we can go to the Lord and ask Him for godly insight and spiritual understanding, and He has promised to give us all that is needed for the betterment of our life. In this passage, James, speaks about the wisdom we need, when we are surrounded by the various difficulties we encounter in our everyday lives and the tough choices we are all required to make. James a bond servant of Jesus Christ, lacked wisdom. But he made an attempt to gain godly wisdom and spiritual understanding. James learnt that the suffering of this life produces patient endurance, which will furnish us with spiritual maturity. “However,” he continues, “if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
There are times when we do not know what to do or which way to turn, when we are surrounded with problems especially, when we deal with our own family, wife, husband and children. At such times we need to seek the face of the Lord for guidance. James knows that trusting the Lord for godly wisdom as we travel through life, is a tool the Lord uses to test and strengthen our faith in Him, and which helps to produce in us the patient endurance that is so needful for our daily life. We all need God’s heavenly wisdom in the tests and trials of life’s disappointments and difficulties, which are so much a part of our everyday lives. How much we need His guidance in the choices we have to make, a willingness to admit our faults, a readiness to learn the lessons God desires to teach us, and an eagerness to put into practice the truth we have learned. God knows that we are weak and frail and He knows that the testing of our faith can cause us to complain or murmur or to become unsteady in our Christian walk. But God provides all the wisdom we need to maintain a steady heart, patient endurance, and an unwavering, uncompromised faith in Him. God delights to give generously to all who ask – but we must be prepared to ask Him, to listen to His voice, and to obey His Word.
Have you the knowledge and wisdom to deal all your problems, with regarding to your business, at your work spot, while dealing with your boss and other co workers, in your neighbourhood, when dealing with problematic neighbours or when you deal with your own children, who do not do well in their studies. Do you get annoyed with them, or do you tolerate them patiently. My dear children of God, you need wisdom and knowledge to deal all the issues that you face in everyday life. We often fail to understand our own family members. That is why God insists us to ask of Him, wisdom and knowledge for when we ask for knowledge God gives wisdom without any partiality. So be prepared to ask Him and you will find peace and calmness in your life. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, as the pressures of life are pressing down hard on us, we want to hold fast to the faith and patiently endure all the problems that confront us in our daily lives. Give us the wisdom we need to face the future with all joy, knowing very well that our life is hid with Christ in God. Help us to grow in grace and in wisdom as we depend in Your love and trust in Your Word.
In Jesus Name We Pray. Amen.
My dear brother and sister in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Lamentation 3:31,32, For the Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion , According to the multitude of His mercies.
For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.”
My Dear Brother And Sister, From the above context we learn that God will show you compassion, according to the multitude’ of His mercies. God is directly visiting your homes through this message today and is saying, that He will never forsake you. You may be forsaken by your parents, or some husbands may be forsaken by their wives, or some wives may have been forsaken by their husbands. And to all such persons who are reading this message, I wish to tell you, that even though you may be forsaken by someone, God will not forsake you. He will neither leave you nor forsake you. There are many sick patients reading this message .They have been forsaken by the doctors. Many heart patients have been forsaken by their doctors, saying, “We ‘’can’t help you, only God must save you.” Thus we see how people whom we trust sometimes forsake you. ”Your hope in them is lost forever.
But God says, “I will be compassionate to you.” You may be thinking, God has forsaken you while you are suffering from cancer or from Corona Virus. But God says, He will not forsake you, whether you are good in health or whether you are sick in bed. He remains the same, because He is an unchanging God. God who loves you says, “I will not forsake you, I will not leave you as orphans in this world. I will show you compassion.”So be cheerful, trust in the Lord, He will strengthen you. Once God spoke to Joshua saying, “Be strong and of good courage, As I was with Moses, So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Only be strong and not be dismayed.” Joshua had to face many wars during his period of time, but the Lord strengthened him and he won all the battles. He also led the people of Israel safely into the land of Canaan, after the death of Moses and even distributed the land to each of the tribes as he was instructed by Moses. He proved to be a great leader since God strengthened him and showed compassion to him.
God will be your strong hold. He is always at your side. If God is on your side who can come against you? To those of you who are weeping saying, ‘ I have not achieved anything in my life.”God is saying He will make you a great achiever. Then you will say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” You will begin to achieve what you missed all these years, if you join Jesus. Get into His chariot and journey along with Him then you shall experience great miracles in your life. God will change all the emptiness of your life into fulfilment, Completeness. Since God is the source and fort of Wisdom He will pour upon you His wisdom, and make you a star in life, a great business man, a great and renowned doctor, a well known engineer. A famous lawyer or a preacher. God will exalt you. Thus you shall achieve greater things in life if you cling to God for all your needs. He will give you name and fame. He will increase you on every side and comfort you. God Bless You.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You because You will not forsake us. And you will show us compassion . Help us to cling on to You, join your chariot and travel along with you. Thank you for giving us Jesus Christ the greatest, and the most treasured property in our life. Enable us to achieve greater things for God.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Numbers 12:7, “ I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. “
My Dear Brother and Sister, from the above context we understand that God tells about Moses, that he was honest in all things. Moses was truthful in serving the Lord and also in handling his family. God met him at mount Sinai and called him separately to go to Egypt and deliver the people of God from the hands of the cruel Egyptian task masters who were misusing and exploiting and manipulating the people of Israel by extracting hard labour from them. When God appeared before Moses in a burning bush, he asked him to go back to Egypt from where he ran away many years ago, fearing that Pharaoh would punish him for killing an Egyptian. Moses, in order to escape Pharaoh’s death penalty, fled to Midian a desert country in Judah, where he married Zipporah who was the daughter of Jethro, the priest and prince of Midian. She was the mother of Moses’ two sons: Eliezer and Gershom.
Moses did not marry Zipporah of his own accord secretly, but by the will of God. Since she was the daughter of a priest she would help Moses in the task of liberating the people of Israel. When God called Moses and commanded him to deliver the people of Israel, he sent Aaron to speak for him before Pharaoh, as he was stammering of speech. Miriam the sister of Moses was a prophetess. She also joined him in his hard journey. Moses did not go away shirking from his responsibility of caring for his wife and sons. He handed them to his uncle Jethro and requested him to take care of them until he returned from Egypt, after delivering the people of Israel. He tells him that he would be passing by Midian on his way to Canaan the promised land, and while passing by, he would take his family along with him. Until then he asked his uncle to take care of his family. This shows that he was a responsible family man. I regret to say that many pastors and preachers who serve God, neglect their own families. Paul says, in his epistle to Timothy, “If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?”
On his mission Moses meets his brother and sister. But his sister raised question as to how he got married to Zipporah who was a Medianite. Miriam did not like Moses, because he married Zipporah. Though Moses explained all about his marriage to her, she caused commotion and questioned him if God will speak only through him and not with Miriam as she was a prophetess. God was displeased with her for complaining Moses regarding his marriage and also for questioning God if he would only talk through Moses and not through her. God called all the three of them to the tabernacle and said unto them,”Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid, To speak against My servant Moses?” For He is faithful in all My house.’’ Miriam skin turned leprosy as a punishment for talking against Moses. Are you talking against the servants of God ? Be cautious never to speak ill of pastors and preachers. Consider them as Ambassadors of God. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for telling that Moses was faithful in all His house. He was not only faithful in serving God but also in maintaining his family. He proved to be a faithful and sincere person. Help us also to be faithful in all our ways. Never to speak ill of the elders, pastors and preachers.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 69:29,” But I am poor and sorrowful; Let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high.”
My Dear Brother and Sister, from the above context we learn that David, was in the most sorrowful state of life, when he wrote this psalm. He says, “But I am poor and sorrowful.” The Psalmist was afflicted very much, but his faith was in God. The poor in spirit and mourners are both blessed by the word of God. This refers to the sufferings of Jesus Himself. No man was ever poorer or more sorrowful than Jesus of Nazareth, yet his cry out of the depths was heard, by His Father, and so he was uplifted to the highest glory. Therefore David, says, “Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.” He also comforts us by saying, “For as with your Lord so shall it be with you.” You are trodden down to-day as the mire of the Streets, but you shall ride upon the high places of the earth, even now you, are raised up together, and made to sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. Since God had considered his sorrow and lifted him up, David says, “I will praise the name of God with a song.” He is, in very truth, “the sweet singer of Israel.” And all the saints join in chorus. “to magnify Him with thanksgiving.” What clear shining we have after the rain. The darkness is past, and the glory light shines forth as the sun. All the honour is rendered unto Jesus, for He alone could deliver us from our enemy the death and therefore, and him only be the praise.
But I am poor and sorrowful, says, David, comparing himself to that of Jesus. For The Messiah himself was poor in a literal sense, as it was foretold he should, be born of poor parents, and brought up in a mean way: and in his public life, having no certain dwelling place, and ministered to by others; and when on the cross, being stripped of his garments; and nothing to eat and drink but gall and vinegar; and nothing to leave for his mother, but commits her to the care of his beloved disciple. This phrase in general denotes the low estate of Christ who was obedient to death; and the character of “sorrowful” well agrees with him, For He was a man of sorrows all his days.
My Dear Brother and Sister, are you going through such kind of sorrow in your life, like David who was running for his life from the hands of his enemies. Or like Jesus who lived in poverty. And was known as the man of sorrow. Are you so grief stricken, because of your financial crisis, joblessness, childlessness, loss in your business. Or is it because of your enemies who are chasing you for various reason. Have you been caught up in criminal case, What is it thats troubling you. Well as prophesy I wish to say that God will lift you up and cause you to sit among the princes. As God exalted David from a poor shepherd boy to that of a king of Israel or like Jesus whom God the Father has made him sit, at the right hand of God Himself. God will exalt you if you remain humble within his Mighty hands. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for suffering for us on the cruel cross, in order to make us sit in heavenly places. We also thank You for exalting David, from a shepherd boy to that of a king. Do exalt us also from our poverty stricken state of life and enable us to see good days, according to the days we had been afflicted.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and Ever Unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The Blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”
My Dear Brothers And Sisters, From the above context we understand, that John the beloved disciple of the Lord Jesus, addressed this little letter, to Gaius, an elder. We also understand that this elderly gentleman was brought to faith in Christ, through the ministry of John, himself for the apostle writes; I have no greater joy than this –“ to hear of my children walking in the truth.” John the disciple, expresses his love and respect for this man, for it appears that his whole life was dedicated to the Lord, and Gaius must have been a wonderful testimony of a godly man, who walked in grace and love, for we read that his “soul prospered”. The life of Gaius appears to be that of a mature man of God, who reflected the character of Christ. We discover that this man’s spiritual life was fruitful, his soul was flourishing. He was working the works of God in his life through the power of the Holy Spirit. He was carrying out the work that God had prepared for him to do, with a Christian maturity, that made John to say may “your soul prosper. ” We also learn from the letter of Apostle John, that Gaius had a physical disability or some health problems, That Is why John says, “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health – just as your soul prospers. John’s prayer, was that the physical health of this beloved saint might ‘prosper’, in the same way that his spiritual health was prospering.
My Dear Brothers And Sisters, How can a soul be prosperous ? A soul must be in right fellowship with the Lord. Obeys the principles of God, and The soul that has a good understanding of the Word is a prosperous soul. The Bible says. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” I wish above all things that, all those of you who are reading this message may prosper, or succeed in all your affairs, in the business life, in education field, In your family life, and may the blessing of God, make you rich,as this is my desire and prayer for you. Having good Health is wealth. Without health it is impossible to be successful in life. And this is the most desirable mercy of God, for without good health, there can be no comfortable enjoyment of life. That is why John says, “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health – just as your soul prospers.
Dear Brothers And Sisters, Are you walking in the ways of God like Gaius. He proved to be a mature man of God. He reflected the character of Christ. Do you reflect the character of Christ ? Are you involved in sinful activities. Do you smoke and keep drinking all the time ? Are you just wasting your time and not taking up a job? Have you become a burden to your parents? Instead of supporting them, you have been hurting their feelings. You are not making an attempt to correct yourself. God is watching your activities. Then how can He heal your sickness or give you a good job or settle you in your life. It would be good if you seek to be more like the beloved Gaius, who walked in spirit, truth and love, and was faithful in whatsoever good works he undertook, in spite of his health problems. May we behave like him, no matter what physical problems we may encounter, for although this dearly beloved elder had an obvious disability, he was a worthy example of godly saint, who lived a life that was pleasing to the Lord, and for His greater praise and glory? God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Dear Lord, thank You for the exemplary life of Gaius, and the many things that we can learn from the lives of other godly men and women, You place in our path. Thank You for the privilege of prayer.. so that we may approach Your throne of grace for help in time of sickness and need. We lift up all our brothers and sisters in Christ, body, soul and spirit – praying each would grow in grace, in all they say and do, and come to a deeper knowledge of the Lord Jesus – for Your greater praise and glory.
Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen
