BELIEVE IN HIS NAME

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ   our God, who created   and formed us and who never ever forgets us. The blessed word that God has given for   you,   today   is   from the  book   of   John 1:12, “But as many as received Him to them  He gave the right to become the children of God to those who believe in His name.”

This message is mainly to let you know how important it is to believe in the name of Jesus.  2000 years ago, while Jesus lived in this world, many came to Jesus to receive blessings from Him. Some were healed, some received sight, while some came for deliverance as they were demon possessed.  But in the midst of all this they were some who came to accuse, ridicule and scorn Him, but the name of Jesus is the most beautiful of all names, in the ear of the believer,   for there is no other name in heaven or on earth that has the power to seek and to save that which was lost.

Trusting in the name of Jesus is accepting Him as the Son of God.  It is to believe that Christ’s death, burial, and Resurrection procured our salvation. It is trusting, by faith, that we are born again into the family of God. It is to believe that Jesus took the punishment that we deserve, by His death on the cruel cross, we have been declared righteous by God. And as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.”

‘To believe in His name’, does not simply mean to believe that Jesus lived, as a historical figure. ‘To believe in His name’, means to accept everything that the Bible teaches about the Lord Jesus Christ – and that He is the Word of God made flesh, Who dwelt among us and died as the sacrificial substitute for the sin of mankind. ‘To believe in His name’, is to believe that Jesus is the Creator of the world, to believe in His name’, is to rely on Him for the redemption of our soul, rather than relying on our own good works for the salvation of God.  It is only when we believe in His name that He gives us the right to be called His children.

The privilege of becoming a child of God comes   with our desire,    to receive Him through faith. Faith in Christ comes by hearing the word of God, and believing that Christ was crucified, was buried, and rose again.  And when we believe by faith – then God the Father grants us the right to become His child.

There is only one way to be saved – “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” Today is the day of Salvation. He will heal you of all your disease. He will forgive you of all your sins. He will renew your mind and make you a new creation.  And when we make this God our Father, then we become His children. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.  Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame. So believe in the Name Of Jesus and be saved right now.   God Bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord we thank You for teaching us through this message the importance of believing on the Name of Jesus. For all knees will bow before Your Highly Exalted Name. We Thank You Lord for making us your children. Help us to rely on You alone and not in our own good works.  Guide us step by step. In Jesus’  name  we  pray.

Amen.

The Real blessings

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ   our God, who created   and formed us and who never ever forgets us. The blessed word that God has given for   you,   today   is   from  the  book   of   Proverbs 10:6, “ The Blessings of the Lord are on the head of the righteous. “

From the above context we come to understand that the real blessings of the Lord will surely rest on the head of the righteous. It will not be a temporary blessing.  It will remain over a long period of time. The Blessing of the Lord will remain with you forever. Only then it can be considered as blessing from the Lord.  If the blessing stays for a while with you, and then it departs, from you then it is not the blessing of the Lord. The Bible says, “The Blessings of the Lord, makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it.”

To those of you who are reading this message,   I wish to illustrate this with an example. Let us say your neighbour has built a house. And so you want to build a house like your neighbour, therefore you get funds from all the banks   possible and start constructing your house. You then begin to borrow more money from financer for high rate of interest.  You  do  all this  without  consulting  with  God,  not  knowing  His  will  for  you. It may not be that you should build a house just because your neighbour built it. Now you are unable to complete the house construction. It stands half built. You are yet to finish the   building work.  You   are in a fix. You don’t know what to do further. You realize that you are caught up in a huge debt. You do not know how to build the house or pay back the dues to the bank and the financier. Now you will feel ashamed   that you could not complete building the house. This is when you realize that it is not the blessing of God.

If it is God’s will He will help you find the resource for building your house. You prayed about it. You asked the Lord beforehand whether you could build a house of your own. Since you asked God, He will remain with you. He will take up the responsibility of building the house.  He will provide the means to pay your loans.  That is the truth.  He will make it possible for you to complete the construction. He will never put you to shame before your neighbours.  When you fail to ask God’s will to build your house, then the bank officers will come and seal your house until you make the full payment. This is because you have tried to snatch the blessing of God before the appointed time. We should never try to enjoy, anything that gives us pleasure, before it comes from the hand of God.

When God does not bless, there will be blockades, such that you will not be able to proceed further, with the construction, of your house, or anything that concerns, you. So I request you through this message, that none of you, who are reading this message, should get entangled in such issues. Be careful to listen to the voice of God in this regard. It is not about how you rotate your money   in order to build your house, but whether it is the will of God. You need to know if the blessing is sent from the Lord. Then He will make arrangements for you to pay the bills. God will make arrangements for your maintenance, and for all other things. If it is from God, your house that you build will last forever. The Lord says,  “My People will never be put to shame.”   Therefore you need to do everything with utmost care and with wisdom. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord we thank You for teaching us through this message the importance of knowing   God’s will in our life.  Let us be careful to do everything with the direction of God. Never to do anything just to boast of our capability. Help us to be humble and not proud, in doing anything in our life. Teach us to take counsel of God through prayer and by reading the word of God and listening to the still small voice of God.  May God help us to walk in wisdom.

In  Jesus’  name  we  pray.

Amen.

God Saves His People

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Exodus 6:6 ,“ I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgement.”

From the above context we learn that God spoke through Moses to the children of Israel. “I am the Lord, Eternal in his being, immutable in his counsels, faithful to his covenant, and able to fulfil it; and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians; which lay heavy on them, and made them sigh and groan: and I will rid you out of their bondage; in which they were kept, and by which their lives were made bitter: and I will redeem you with an out stretched arm; from heaven to earth. He stretched his arm upon the enemies of his people, and   delivered them out of their hands:  with great judgments; by sending, many sore plagues and punishments inflicted upon the Egyptians. Thus, the Lord commanded Moses to say to His people.  God claims He is Lord over all creation and tells them what plans He has to do for them.  He is the One who will redeem them, and it is by this powerful name,  “Yahweh” that Israel is going to be delivered. The Lord, then described the things He was about to do for them.

Firstly He said, that He will bring them out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, to get relief from the terrible oppression of labour imposed by the Egyptians. They will leave Egypt and go to the Promised Land.  Secondly, He will deliver them, from their bondage; it implies physical separation from the place of danger or oppression. The Lord promised here that the Israelites will be separated from Egyptian slavery. Thirdly, He will also redeem them, with an outstretched arm and with great judgments,   shows how the Lord, will accomplish this deliverance.   The Lord, said, that He will rescue Israel with an outstretched arm. Fourthly He said that He will make them His people, because “They were bought with a price,” asserting that His people belong to Him because of His death on the cross. Finally the Lord    stated that He will   be their God

God saved His people from the bondage, under the Egyptians   Task Masters. God will save you also from your bondages. No matter what kind of bondages you are caught up with. Some of you might have been caught in debts, some in gambling, some in drugs, some may be caught up in   unwanted issues. Some may be engaged in some sinful   activity.  Are you caught up in an incurable disease?   May be in court case, or in theft, whatever  may be the bondage  in which you are caught up,   God is going to deliver all of you from such issues.  Someone   might have done sorcery  or  witchcraft over you or your family. God will rescue you.   He will   come suddenly when all your hope is lost and will deliver you from your terrible situation.  Rely on God, He will deliver you.

What is the problem that you are facing   at this point of time? Don’t worry, Just as He saved His People Israel from their cruel task masters, God will descend upon you,   from   His Holy mountain to help you and deliver you from your bondage. Jesus Said, “My judgement is just.” Righteousness and Justice are the foundations of God’s throne. So God will do justice to you also as he has promised. For He is the Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are justice. A  God of truth, and without injustice. Righteous and upright is He. When we have such   a God, why worry. Take your problems before the Lord in prayer and He will cause you to be victorious in life. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you for telling us from the scripture, how great a God You are.  You are awesome, You are wonderful, You are Mighty, You are all powerful. You do wonders beyond numbers.  Teach us to depend upon You   for all our needs.  Help us not to get trapped, in any unwanted issues?   Prevent us from being caught up in bondages. Deliver us from all our   unrighteous   activities,   and help us to be just and honest in our lives.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

FEAR OF GOD

Dearly Beloved in Christ,   I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ   our God, who created   and formed us and who never ever forgets us. The blessed word that God has given for   you,   today   is   from the book of Psalms 119:38, “Establish Your word to your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You.”

From the above passage we   see how David asks God to teach him   His statutes, and to help him apply them in his life.  God, by his Spirit, gives a right understanding about His word.  Unless we have the Spirit of wisdom in the heart, we will not be able to understand His word.  So God puts his Spirit within us, causing us to walk in His statutes. David says, “Quicken me in thy way; to redeem time, and to do every duty with liveliness of spirit. The promises of God’s word greatly impress the children of God.  When we enjoy the sweetness of God’s precepts, it will make us long for more acquaintance with His word.  By saying, “Establish thy word unto thy servant”. David asks God to confirm it; make it seem firm and true; let not my mind be vacillating in regard to thy truth. This seems to be a prayer against the influence of doubt and scepticism; a prayer that doubts might not spring up in his mind, and that the objections and difficulties of scepticism might have no place there.

David feared not only God but also  the word of God. It may mean that he was among those who feared the Lord.  “When the Bible talks about fearing God, it is usually referring to an attitude of reverence and respect, not terror. The fear of the Lord conveys a positive reverence. God said, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. “Moses tells this to the people of Israel,-So that they may fear the Lord. But to those of you who are reading this message, I want to introduce you to what King David believed was the Key to everything – the Fear of the Lord.  David feared God from an early age and it gave him great wisdom that prepared the way for him to become a wise and powerful king. “So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved wisely. And Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of Saul’s servants … And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him .Then the princes of the Philistines went out to war. And so it was, whenever they went out, that David behaved more wisely than all the servants of Saul, so that his name became highly esteemed.”

King David’s son, Solomon, also wanted to be a wise king and asked God to give him an understanding heart to judge the people of Israel, to discern between good and evil. So at Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, ‘Ask! What shall I give you?’ And Solomon said: ‘You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king of Israel. And I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours? Then God said to him: ‘Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.”

Discerning between good and evil is what everything is about in our life. Go back to the beginning to see what God said to Adam in the Garden? “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” But what did Adam do? He ate the fruit which his wife, Eve gave it to him. The moment they ate of the tree, which God had forbidden, “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew what is good and evil.  Wisdom is discerning between good and evil and choosing to do good rather than evil. The key that opens the door to that wisdom is “the fear of the Lord.”  Solomon was a wise king, at least during the early years of his reign. Here are some of his thoughts about what he knew about fearing God.  He says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But   fools despise wisdom and instruction.” “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honour is humility.”

Dearly Beloved, Are  you walking in the ways of God, like these men?  Do you fear God.? Do people recognize   your behaviour, as a Child of God?  Are you like worldly men who   cheat, bribe, and  speak lies , with others for a petty matter ?  If you fear the Lord and walk in his ways,   then God will be pleased with you,   and bless you. He will   exalt you like King David who started his life as a shepherd boy. Try walking in the ways of God.  Test God and see how it works to be a true Child of God.   May God enable you to walk in the fear of the Lord, after reading this message.  God Bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord we thank You for teaching us through this message the importance to fear God.  And obey His Precepts. We thank You for setting before us models like David, Solomon and Job who feared God and were led by the Holy Spirit, through which they were able to walk in the fear of God and His righteousness.

In  Jesus’  name  we  pray.

Amen.

The Chosen

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ   our God, who created and formed us and who never ever forgets us. The blessed word that God has given for   you,   today  is  from  the  book of  Matthew   20:16  “ So the last will be the first and the first last,  for many are called  but few are chosen. ”

From the above context we learn that God blesses those whom He Chooses. This passage is about a parable illustrating what Jesus meant in saying that some of the last will be first and the first last in the kingdom of heaven.  We see how a master hires five groups of workers at different times throughout the day; The Master pays the last group the same amount that he pays the group hired early in the morning. Though that group grumbles, they received what they had agreed to earn and had not been cheated. The master insists he has the right to show generosity to whomever he wishes. Jesus concludes by saying, again, that the last will be first, and the first last.

To those of you who are reading this message I wish to say, that many come to me for counselling. I pray for each one, and I tell them what the Lord speaks while I pray for them.  In one such occasion,  a  sister came up to me for prayer. She was very down in spirit. She said, “Brother I am the eldest child in the family. But all my younger brothers and sisters have got married. But I am yet to get married. Please pray for me. I am patiently waiting for   the Lord to perform a miracle in my life.” I was very much touched in  my heart   when   she  broke  out in tears saying, “I feel so ashamed and humiliated to mingle with others.”  I immediately prayed for her and blessed her in the name of our Lord Jesus   Christ.  I said, “Lord You who blesses those whom you choose, bless this daughter who is waiting on You for a miracle.   She feels so empty, without a suitable  partner.  Please remove all reproach from her and make her a joyful woman. While praying for her the Lord clearly told me that there was a curse over the family. Though all her younger siblings were married, none   of  them  had any children. So I prayed to the Lord to break the bondage of the curse that had fallen upon her family.

Then I prayed for her and said, “You who are last will be the first.” After few weeks she called me on the phone and said, that a good proposal had come her way, and that God had answered her prayers. She was married and was blessed with twins.  Only after her marriage the bondage of the curse was broken,   after which her other  siblings  gave birth to several children.  May God’s name   be glorified.  She was the last to get married in her family but she was the first to get a  child, God blessed her with children immediately. Since she was the first to give birth to children. The above saying “The  last will be the first and the first last,”  came   to be true in her life.  God blessed  her with husband and children.

From this incident, we learn how God cares for His children? No problem is too great or too small for our loving God! Jesus taught His disciples how much God cares for each of us. He said, “Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? But God does not forget even one of them. In fact, He even counts every hair on your head! So don’t be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.  If God takes care of the smallest bird in the sky, He will certainly take care of those who trust in Him.  God bless you

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Lord we are thankful to You for blessing those whom You have chosen.   Lord we also thank you for blessing the woman with a suitable husband, and honouring her faith in You. We thank You Lord for telling us that the first will be last and the last will be the first. Help us to be more careful in our lives. To be watchful and remain faithful to You in order to receive the Reward from You.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
