I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 5:5, 6, “Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition for a long time. He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?’’
From the above context we understand that two thousand years ago, there was a pool in Jerusalem called Bethesda pool. Even today you can see that pool in a ruined state. There was something special about this pool, when compared to all other pools. Bethesda means “House of Mercy.” It is a place where people came there for mercy and received healing through Jesus.
We see in this passage that an angel went down and troubled or stirred up the water. And when one gets down into the water, with whatever disease one suffered from was cured by the water in the pool. But only he that first stepped into the water had the benefit of getting healed. There was a man who had lost the use of his limbs thirty eight years. Those who suffer for a long period may comfort themselves that God keeps account of how long he has been suffering. This man speaks about the unkindness of those around about him, who failed to show sympathy, or courtesy towards him. But he learnt in the hard way, to be thankful and patient. He waited for thirty eight long years, to receive a miracle from the God of mercy. All the sick people would sit by the five gates of that pool. All kinds of diseased people would gather by the pool. There were multitude of people gathered round the pool and were gazing at the heaven to see if the angel, would arrive to the pool. They would be longing as to when the angel would be descending into that pool. And when the angel gets into the pool and stirs the water, then the first one who gets into the water at that point of time, will be healed instantly.
There was no one to lift the man or call out to Jesus for help so he waited patiently. He was diseased over a long period of time. He waited helplessly. This man was one such person who because of his sinful nature had been diseased and was unable to move from his hip to his feet and so he was unable to move or walk about. Someone had to carry, to shift his location. In spite of his deformity he never lost his hope. We see that God loved sinners. He came to seek and to redeem the sinners who were lost in sin, and ruined in their lives. God came to give them, free gift of salvation. This man was confident that one day he would receive healing. God would give him another opportunity to live. He knew that God would help him to walk, run, and carry out his work without any one’s help.
When the man was lying down there by the pool in such a helpless state, Jesus came in search of him, and said to him, “Do you want to be made well? ”He began to complain about those around him saying that there was no one to help him get into the water. Then Jesus boldly said to him, “Take up your bed and walk.”Immediately the lame man gained strength and taking his bed he began to walk home. Wonderful God performed a wonderful miracle. The Lord delivered the man from his captivity. He was in bonds but God rescued him from the bondage and set him free. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. God who healed the man at the pool, who had an infirmity for thirty long years, is able to heal you of your disease too. So cheer up, be confident that God will give you another opportunity to live. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for coming to the earth to save mankind from his sinful nature and give him salvation. You are good all the time but we fail to realize this, Forgive us of our sins and purify us Lord. Help us to be grateful for all that you do in our lives. Thank You for healing the lame man at the Bethesda pool, and giving him another opportunity to live a new life. Come Lord Jesus live in us and help us experience greater things in our lives too.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalm 66:5 , “Through You we will push down our enemies. Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.”
From the above context we see the sufferings of David, being vividly described, which says, “’Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water” refers to the kind of trials and affliction he experienced in his life.
“ David believed that “Through God’s help he will push down his enemies. And Through the Name of Jehovah, he will trample all those who rise up against him. ” David was one such person who relied on God and trusted Him for all his purpose. He was being chased by his own uncle, King Saul who gathered three thousand men to capture a single man. God had disapproved Saul of being the king of Israel as he disobeyed God. The Bible says, (King Saul disguised himself and approached a woman (witch of Endor) who was practicing witch craft to rise up the Prophet Samuel who was dead. )
David was being chased by Saul and his army as one who hunts a partridge in the mountains. David was hiding among the hills and caves and mountains. And God directed him to escape to the temple of God. So He ran to the temple of God, there he sang a song, saying “You have caused men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfilment.” He entered the temple of God singing and praising God, with burnt offering and paid his vows. He tells the Lord that he could not battle anymore against his enemies and surrenders to the God of Compassion. The moment he surrendered his life (himself ) to God, the Lord began to fight for him. While Saul was in the battle of Mount Gilboa, he fell over his sword and killed himself. Absalom, who rebelled against his father David, was killed during the battle of Ephraim’s Wood against the Philistines. Soon after the death of King Saul and Absalom David established himself as the king of Israel and ruled for nearly forty years both Israel and Judah. David thus put down his enemies.
Many of you who are reading this message, may be fed up of your lives. Because of your own people, who is a constant threat to you. They Search for you, to destroy you and your children. Some of them are trying to separate your children from you. You have not found any justice for all your good deeds in your life. Therefore you have become vexed with your own self, your own life. You don’t even find any sign of justice being done to you. Though it looks as if there is no sign of justice being done for you, a time will surely come when God will intervene and do you justice. Everything, every situation, all the people so close to you may seem to come against you all of a sudden. Yet God of Compassion, will come when you never expect Him and He will perform a miracle for you. He will turn everything in favour of you. Many may come against you. They come to spoil your peace joy, your happiness and cause menace in your life by probing into your family matters, and endanger your own lives. But the moment you call upon Jesus Christ, God will come to your aid and help you from all your difficulties. He will change all things in favour of you. So do not worry, but cast your burden upon the Lord, for he will never allow the righteous to be moved, instead, He will care for you. And will sustain you. May the Lord do justice to you today.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for doing justice to David. Though he struggled for his life yet in the end he emerged victorious. Likewise turn all things in favour of us, for we solely depend upon you for our sustenance. Prevent our enemies from coming to our homes. Give us the discernment to understand and avoid such intruders, who step into our homes to deliberately cause trouble to us.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Genesis 28:15 “ Behold I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken, to you.”
From the above context we come to understand that our God will send an angel before us to take care of us, to keep us, wherever we go and will not leave us until He fulfils all that He has promised to do for us. It is an encouragement for every child of God to be reminded so emphatically that the Lord is caring for us, and watching over us. No matter where we go or what we do and that He will be with us always. And will certainly fulfil every promise and pledge that He has purposed towards us.
This promise is clearly for the Lord’s chosen nation of Israel. This promise was made by the God of Israel, and creator of the universe, who neither slumbers nor sleeps. Whose promises are guaranteed, whose statutes are binding and whose covenant will never fail. God spoke to Jacob through the above verse, assuring that He will keep a watch over Jacob, guard and protect him, And He will be with him wherever he goes, and will again bring him back to his father’s land.
Jacob was not that of one who simply feared and trusted in God. He looked only to God to make him to dwell, in safety. God manifested himself and his favour to Jacob when he was asleep. Jacob saw a ladder, which reached from earth to heaven. The angels going up and coming down and God himself at the head of it. This represents the providence of God, the togetherness of God and Jacob. All God’s favours come to us, and our services go to him, by Christ. God expected that the Messiah should come from Jacob. Christ is the greatest blessing of the world. And all that are blessed are blessed in Him.
Our God is a God of promise. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. I was preaching the word of God as usual in Anbarin Padathil Oru Naal Meeting. I said after these days, God will bring into your life, favour and kindness. I said “God will reunite all separated families, just as Joseph and Mary.” When Joseph knew that his betrothed wife was already pregnant he tried to put her aside. But an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid, to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call his name, Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. ” So Joseph did as the angel, of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife.
I said, an angel has already gone out from the presence of God to perform a miracle for a separated couple. In January, I received a mail from a sister, stating that she was pleased by the message, hearing that a angel had gone to perform a miracle amidst separated couples and to reunite them in their family life. She believed that the angel would surely visit her daughter in law and convince her of the importance of living together with her son who was in deep distress. Her daughter in law had gone to her mother’s house for delivery, but even after she had delivered a male baby she did not inform her husband and did not return back to her husband. This sister was in deep distress over the issue. After attending the meeting, she had gone back to her home. To her surprise after some time, the daughter in law had come to her home with the baby. It was a thrilling moment to her family. They simply couldn’t believe their eyes. She stated in her mail “Brother I didn’t know that things will happen so soon.” Our God is a wonder working God. God did what he spoke through his servant of God.
Yes my dear child, God will send his angels to minister unto you to guard you and protect you and also to solve all your problems for He is mindful of you and your children. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for sending an angel to solve all our problems. Teach us to listen and abide by the words of the prophet who preach the word of God. Make us to rejoice in You Oh! God all the days of our life. Help us to look to God always like Jacob that we might receive the blessing of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of 2 Kings 13 : 22.23. “And Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days, of Jehoahaz But the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and regarded them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not yet destroy them or cast them for his presence.”
We understand that our God is a merciful God. God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake we have made. God is rich in mercy because of his great love, for us. He loved his people Israel; He guarded them, protected them and rescued them from the hands of Pharaoh. God saved them not because of their righteous deeds, but because of His mercy.
The people of Israel often provoked God in many ways. They went after pagan gods and forgot the living God. So God has many ways to punish a provoking people. Trouble comes sometimes from that point whence we least feared it. After their victory over Syria, Jehoahaz ruled Israel for nearly seventeen years. During his reign he did evil in the sight of God. So God allowed the invasion of king Hazael king of Syria to interfere and cause trouble to the people of Israel now and then, that these might thus turn to the living God. But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
But the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and regarded them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and would not yet destroy them or cast them from his presence .For He says, “ I am the Lord, I change not. Therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed.”’ Even in his wrath God thinks upon mercy. While He was still punishing Israel, by the sword of Hazael, He was yet careful, not to make a full end, not to allow the affliction to proceed, too far. He still preserved the nation and kept it, in being. God had respect unto the people of Israel. He considered them, kept them in his mind, because of the covenant, with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Today God wants to show his mercy to all those of you who are reading this message. Especially to those, who have been despised, rejected by your loved ones, and those considered outcast. This is your turn day, to find grace and the mercy
of God. For many of you are living so forlorn and desperate in life. Some even wish to die because of the terrible situation, you are going through. You are living in great sorrow, pain and agony. Because you couldn’t secure a good job, or you never got settled as of now, you have incurred great loss in your business. You are a failure in life. God is showing you mercy today. So do not be discouraged, nor dismayed. He is reaching out his righteous right hand to meet your needs. Be cheerful in the Lord. He will change your sorrow into joy. He will make your mourning into dancing. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for being so gracious and merciful to us. You have forgiven all our transgression and iniquity and saved us from the mouth of Hades. Since you have kept your covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, You have blessed us too with your mercy. Therefore we praise you and adore You.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given you today is from the book of 3 John 1:2, “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” .
Today God is calling each one of you as ‘My Beloved’. You are beloved in the sight of God. According to the world, you might be considered to be a person of less importance. But the Lord says, “My Beloved I wish, you prosper in all things just as your soul prospers.” The Lord wants you to do well in your education, your life, work place, your ministry and so on. Today God wants to perform a miracle in your life in the area where you are weak. The strength of the Lord is enough to help you prosper in life.
We see in the book of 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Apostle Paul faced shortcomings in his life. He asked God to take away his shortcomings. But God said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you. For my strength is made perfect in your weakness”. Apostle Paul rejoiced in the strength of the Lord.
You may be worried about some situation that you are going through. You might be facing some problems at your workplace or even in your family life. Do not lose hope. The Lord is always by your side. His strength is enough for you to overcome all your weaknesses. You are God’s beloved.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your children. Lord give them the strength that they need to overcome all their weaknesses. May they prosper in all that they do. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
