The Sweetened Waters.

My dear Brothers and sisters  in Christ,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Exodus 15 : 23, 25  “Now when they came to  Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”  So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.’’

The Waters of  Marah were bitter. The people of Israel could not drink the water. They had been without water for three days. Since the waters were bitter it was called   Marah.  Moses led the people of Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the wilderness of Shur. To survive in the desert is not an easy or comfortable journey especially when there is limited or no supply of water. It’s a deadly place to be  in when one has to live away from the land. Therefore we see that God led His people from the waters of  Marah to waters of Refreshing. God has already planned His provision for your trials. This experience will encourage if you are going through a season of dryness or a bitter experience. From bitterness God leads His people to the wells of Elim. When they came to Elim, there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees. So they camped there by the waters. Both cattle and people drank water to the full.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,  Moses had a painful experience while leading the people of Israel through the wilderness.  Before they could reach   Canaan,  the promised land flowing with milk and honey. At Marah  people  could not drink the water as they were  bitter. Hence they murmured against Moses. So he cried out  to God, for help. And the Lord showed him a tree. Moses threw it into the water and the water immediately turned sweet. Whenever the people of Israel cried out to the Lord, God would appear before them and relieve them in their distress. Moses knew the power of God and trusted in His faithfulness.

Dear children of God you too must have experienced such bitterness in your life. And must have been saddened  at heart.  You might have selected a good college for your children but they would have gone through a miserable time in the college. May be you would have secured a good job for your son with much recommendation, but it turned out to be a great disappointment. It may be that you would have selected a good proposal for your daughter, but for various reason, the marriage of your daughter turned out to be a bitterful   experience. Therefore you are very dejected in life.  Please look up to God He will come down and solve all your problems and relieve you of your distress.  For Gods hand is not shortened that it cannot save, Nor his ear heavy that He cannot hear.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank   You Lord for changing bitter  water into sweet water for the children of Israel. You are mindful of Your children.  We  praise  you  God for Your faithfulness and power.  Bless your children who have been dejected in their life.  May their future be brightened.  Help them Lord to seek You as the Lord  of their  life.  Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Dream Of Great Might Things

My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Genesis 41:41, “And Pharaoh said to Joseph , See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”

My dear brothers and Sisters some of you are worried and are filled with tears because you have been rejected by your own dear ones or by your boss at your work spot. Some might have been rejected by your own husband. So you are depressed and dejected. But God is mindful of you. He will neither leave you nor forsake you. Some of you might have worked hard for the progress of your family but you were never appreciated or honoured by the members of your family. And this has caused much pain to you. But God wants you to be cheerful . Because God is greater than your heart and knows all things. He will perfect that which concerns you. God will perform what is appointed for you. God desires to honour His children and exalt them at the appointed time.. The Bible records one such person who was rejected and despised but he found favour in the sight of the Lord and so was exalted.

Joseph was the favoured son of Jacob and Rachel. Jacob loved Joseph more than all his children because he was the son of his old age. Also he made a tunic of many colours. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers they hated him. Joseph was a dreamer. God gave him dreams and the ability to interpret dreams. When Joseph dreamt a dream he shared it innocently to his brothers and they hated them all the more. Joseph’s brothers went to feed their flocks in Shechem. So one day his father called Joseph and said, “Please go and see if it is well with your brothers, and well with the flocks. And bring back word to me.” On his way Joseph inquired men in Shechem , if they had seen his brothers feeding his flocks. On hearing that heir brothers had gone to Dotham he diligently sought for them. When the brothers saw Joseph they said, Look the dreamer is coming.” They decided to kill him. Later they cast him into an empty pit in the wilderness. Suddenly they saw some merchants. So they pulled him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelite for twenty shekels of silver. They dipped his coat with the blood of goat and duped their father saying that some wild beast had devoured him. Therefore Jacob wept for Joseph.

God was mindful of Joseph because he was blameless before God. Since he was a dreamer he interpreted the dream of Pharaoh and saved Egypt from seven years of famine. As a result , Pharaoh set him over all the land of Egypt. Thus God exalted Joseph in the strange land. Joseph was precious in the sight of the Lord, so he honoured and exalted him, before his brothers. Therefore my dear children never lose heart . Trust in Jesus He will lift you higher. Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like the eagles.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We praise you Lord for your goodness towards us. We thank you for honouring and exalting your children. Help them never to be disheartened about the displeasure they experience in their life. Cause them to be enlightened by your strength. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

God hears your voice.

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Deuteronomy 26:7-9, “Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our misery, toil and oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey”

Our God is a God who respects your voice. Your husband might not have respected your voice. Your wife might not have respected your voice. Your children might not have respected your voice. Because of that, your heart might be filled with agony. The Lord is telling a good news for such children. It does not matter as to who respect your voice or not, my Lord respects your voice.

The people of Israel were suffering for 430 years in captivity to the Egyptians. Initially, they did not realize the sufferings and the pain that they had to go through. As days passed, they were being treated very rudely. It was then that the people of God realized that they needed a change. They also believed that God was the only one who could help them from their problems. Therefore, in expectant of a change, they all looked up to God and cried out to Him for help. God respected their voice. To deliver them out of their captivity, God ordained Moses for their aid. He was able to perform mighty signs and wonders and only then he could deliver the Israelites from Egypt.

It is true that the Israelites were afflicted in that land. They were pressed by all sides; they went through a lot of agony. Through all these sufferings, they needed a miracle in their lives. They needed a breakthrough. God sent Moses and delivered His people from the land of captivity.

My dear brothers and sisters, even today, you might be pressed on all sides, broken by the problems you face, and your hearts might be filled with pain and agony. You might not have anyone to even console you. No one might understand what you are going through.  Today the Lord says, “Do not be worried, for I have heard your cry for help.” Like how the Lord sent Moses to deliver His people, similarly, He will send someone to bring you out of your difficulties. Our God is a God of compassion. There is nothing that God cannot do. God knows all your problems. All you need to do is to trust in Him. He will deliver you from all your bondage and He will take you to the land flowing with milk and honey.

God respects your voice. He hears your cry for help. He is a God who cares for His children. God will not leave His children in oppression.  He will deliver you. Do not be worried about the storms of your life. It will all soon pass away.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I submit Your dear children into Your loving hands of protection. Lord, You can see the pain and agony that my children are going through. Father, You have said that You respect their voice. I pray that You may bring an end to their pain and agony and give them peace and happiness all the days of their lives. Send Your angels and deliver them from whatever problem that they are going through. Be with them and bless them. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

Endurance.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the  book of  Hebrews 12:6 , “For whom the Lord loves He chastens.  And scourges every son whom he receives. ”

From the above context we know that it is a universal truth that God sends trials on those whom He loves.  It does not mean that he sends chastisement though you don’t deserve or just to inflict pain. But it means that by his chastisements he shows that he has a parental care for us. He does not treat us with neglect and unconcern. The very fact that he corrects us shows that he has towards us a father’s feelings  and exercises towards us a parental care. If He did not care for us then he would let us go on without any attention, and leave us to pursue, a course of sin that would lead us to ruin our lives.

God scourges every one whom he acknowledges   as his child. The Bible clearly says, For whom the Lord loves He corrects. Just as a father,   the son in whom He delights, practically we learn obedience by the things which we suffer from. All men are not the objects of God’s love. Only a special people whom he has chosen for himself are scourged. Especially when they sin and walk against Him then He quickens and calls them by His grace. He justifies, pardons, and accepts them in Christ. And whom he causes to love these He loves with an everlasting love. Now these who are  chastened by Him,  He loves them,  while they are being chastened.

Many men of God have been chastened by God in Bible times. Yet they proved victorious in life. Joseph was thrown into the pit by his own brothers, Later they sold him to   the Egyptian merchants   for 20 shekels of silver. In Egypt he was accused by  Potiphar’s wife and put in jail for no fault of his. Because he endured his trials patiently God exalted him to the post of Governor in Egypt. Likewise Daniel who was taken as captive at the age of 14 to Babylon,  stripped off his clothes and  his hands  tied by chains. He was faithful  to God and made a commitment that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings delicacies. Daniel was a man of prayer. God gave him wisdom to interpret dreams and visions.  He humbled himself before God during the time of his trials. Hence God exalted him to the post of Prime minister in   Babylon.  The king   Nebuchadnezzar fell prostrate before Daniel and paid him honour.

One cannot forget the crude affliction of Job that he underwent. Job was chastened bitterly. He lost his children, his cattle his health and all his wealth. He was despised by his friends. He was mocked by his own wife. The Bible says, In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.  He never sinned   with his lips.  God   was pleased with Job   for he was blameless, and upright. And one who feared God and shunned evil. Therefore as soon as the period of trial was completed he found favour in the eyes of God. The Bible says, God blessed him before his friends   and relatives who criticised him. And the Lord restored Job’s losses. He too was a man of prayer. Indeed the Lord gave twice as much as he had before. Hence the Lord blessed the latter days, of Job than his beginnings.

The Lord will bless you too in the same manner as He blessed Joseph, Daniel, and Job. If you listen to His word you will dwell safely and you will be secure without fear of evil. You need to   endure   patiently and sincerely the period of affliction or chastisement while God allows it in your life.  Then the Lord will honour you and your days of sorrow will turn to joy as it happened in the lives of these men of God. Call upon Him during the days of trouble. He will be very gracious to you, at the sound of your cry.  When He hears it, He will answer you.  Then   You will be exalted and honoured by God. People who rejected you will come back to you. Those who had hurt you will now reconcile with you.  God will reverse all situations in favour of you. So believe that God is able to perform all that He has promised you. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our   loving   heavenly Father, we   thank   You  for this blessed day.  Dear Lord thank You for correcting us and moulding us to the kind of vessel You want us to be. May we learn obedience through   sufferings   Help us to accept affliction without grudging.  Teach us to believe that all things work together for good to those who love God.

 In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Gift of Wisdom.

I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of Psalms 111:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise”. The Lord says that He is going to give the gift of wisdom to all those who lack it.

To whom does God give wisdom? It is to those who follow His commandments. When you live according to the commandments of the Lord, He will bless you with His divine wisdom.

In the lives of some children, we see that the devil enters and destroys their lives by taking away the wisdom given by God. In some houses, though the children are well educated, they are affected by some kind of mental illness. The only way to be delivered from such kind of problem is to believe the Lord Jesus and follow Him. One word from Jesus is enough to set you free. God is our protector.

Romans 16:20 says, “The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet”. The Lord has given you the authority to trample the devil under your feet. Have faith and be of good cheer. The Lord has fought all your battles.
The Lord will deliver you from all your problems and will fill you with His wisdom from above. The Lord will be with you now and forever more.

God Bless You.

Prayer:

Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children. Father, give them the wisdom to take the right decisions in life. Lord, may Your children learn to trust You at all times. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
