My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 40:1, 2, “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. “Speak comfort to Jerusalem.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that our God Comforts those that are burdened with heavy heart. He comforts them like a mother. We often think how special and beloved our mothers are. They are really very dear gift to us. I would like the readers to consider God’s motherly comfort of his people. The Prophet Isaiah gives us the word of the Lord, “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”Mothers love for you is a spontaneous personal affection. She loved you when you kicked within her womb. She always, fixed her eyes and cares on you. When a child is hurt it is Mom they call for. And this is the kind of comfort being described here in our message.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Mother usually takes care of her children and finds every way, to comfort her child. She is prepared to sacrifice to any extent for the well being of her child. She is even prepared to lose anything for the welfare of her child. They are willing to spend any amount to save the life of their child, in case they are sick and bed ridden. Mothers usually consider the future of their children more important than their own well being. All that they desire to see, is that, their child does well in life.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, many of you are reading this message with much enthusiasm since it speaks the truth of a good mother. All those who feel so dejected and despised by your loved ones, God wants to comfort you just as a mother would comfort you. Some of you may not hold a good job, or may not even earn a good income. May be you are having huge sum of debts and hence living in shame. You might be facing some kind of unpleasant situation in your work spot or in the neighbourhood. God is bringing an end to such situation. God will perform a miracle for you and comfort you. Don’t you worry, God will comfort you.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, While Jesus lived on the face of this earth, He personally visited the people, performed miracles and comforted them. There was a widow of the city of Nain. She had a son, when Jesus came near the gate of the city he saw a dead man being carried out to be buried. He was the only son of his mother. She was burdened with a heavy heart. Her only son was dead. She lost all her hope. How could she survive without anyone? When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”Then he touched the coffin and said to the young man, “I say to you, arise.” And he who was dead, sat up. And began to speak. And he handed over the young man to his mother. Her sorrow was turned to joy in a moment. He will change your mourning into dancing.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for comforting us like a mother. Thank You Lord for helping us to realize the important role a mother plays. Help us to inherit such good qualities from her. May we console and comfort those in distress as God comforted others.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 30:43 “And the man increased exceedingly and had much cattle, and maid servants, and men servants and camels, and asses.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we learn that Jacob prospered in the house of his uncle Laban because of his hard work. Firstly He tended the sheep. His salary was changed ten times by his unkind uncle. Later he partnered along with his uncle in sheep rearing and earned much. Only after becoming exceedingly prosperous he returned to his homeland Canaan. He says, “While crossing Jordan this staff was my only treasure. It is the staff that the Lord gave me in my hand. I held on to this staff, and departed to my uncles place from my father’s home.” We see from the above context how Jacob worked hard to make a good living. Jacob held on to the staff that the Lord had given him till the very end.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Are you making use of your talents that the Lord has given you? The master gave five talents to his servant and when he came back the servant gave the master double the talents by working hard and making a good profit in his business. The master appreciated his hard effort. God also will appreciates your hard work. Therefore make use of the talents that God has bestowed into your hands. The Lord has blessed you with good education. You have acquired a good degree, so you must make a good income or earn well by putting up hard work. You must earn your royal bounties.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, We often see how much pain parents take to give sound education to their children, they at times face problems because of them and are forced to stand before the Principal and face shame and humiliation too, yet for the sake of their children they bear it all cheerfully. But some children fail to make use of their education, and hurt their parents by not going to work . They become lazy and stay at home, instead of working hard. Such children can never prosper in their life. Everyone wishes to come up in life. No one ever wants to go down in life. To become a great person, you must work hard with the staff that you have in your hand.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jacob was very strong in his decision, that he would not go back to his homeland, until he became a wealthy man. Only after he had earned well and made a lot of wealth he went to his homeland. That should be your decision too. That you will work hard and become great in life. There is nothing impossible to them that believe in God. For all things are possible to him who believes. May God bless you to earn your Royal Bounties.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord thank you for the staff you have given us to earn a better living. Teach us to make use of the staff carefully. Help us to work hard and aspire to be great in life. Give us the strength to work hard. May we like Jacob make good decision in our life and achieve greater heights.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 66:13, “As One whom his mother comforts so I will comfort you, and You shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”
“My Dear Brothers and Sisters from the above context we know that Pastors and Ministers are instruments of God and are of great comfort to those who are grief stricken. Yet God is the sole efficient cause of comfort to mankind. Since He is an immense and infinite Being possessed of all perfections and yet revives the spirit of the humble and contrite; as He is the Maker of heaven and Earth and all things and those whom He comforts are, ordinary dust and ashes, moreover, He is just and righteous. Though people are ungodly and guilty of backsliding and sometimes revolting against God Himself. Yet He comforts them as He has loved them with an everlasting love, and has given His only begotten son, for them and quickens them though they remain dead in sin.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, we read that just as a Father pities his children So the Lord pities those that fear Him. Today God says, I will comfort you just as your mother comforts you. In the worldly sense, there is no other greater character who can comfort us more than a mother. Because a mother carries her child within her womb for ten long months and also suffers from pain while begetting her child. During her pregnancy she cannot sleep peacefully. She suffers from vomiting and she is not even able to eat what she desires during the time of her pregnancy. She cannot run about and do her work as she likes. Sometimes she struggles to breathe. Some suffer from giddiness. She patiently goes through all these issues before she delivers her baby. She is cautious about her baby in the womb and takes great care till she brings forth her baby.
My Dear brothers and Sisters, Passing all these hurdles she sacrifices almost ten months to give birth to her child. Similarly after the baby is born she is not able to bear any problem that her child undergoes. Sometimes the baby might fall down from the bed or cradle she immediately runs to pickup her child, carries in her arms and hugs and kisses the fallen child. That is the love and comfort a mother shares. There is much more one could mention about a mother. In the same manner our God takes great care of us and comforts us throughout our lifetime. Our God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles. He says, “ Look I shall not leave you as orphans. I will come to you.”David says, Lord when I was troubled within my heart, Your consolation brought me great joy. God further consoles us by saying, “I even I am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid, of a man who will die? And the son of man who will be made like grass?
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, What more do you need when you have a God on your side. I know many who read this message are going through various troubles, in your life. Apostle Paul encourages us by saying If God is on our side then who can be against us? This is the assurance you need to have as a Child of God. Remember in this world you will have tribulation, but take heart God has overcome the world. May the Lord comfort you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for revealing to us the greatness of a Mother. And that You comfort us as a Mother comforts her child. We praise You Lord for comforting us at times of troubles. Give us the strength to overcome our grief and sorrow by holding on to You. Help many to be good mothers to their children. Grant them the grace to grow their children in the fear of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of JEREMIAH 24:6, “I will build them and not pull them down. I will plant them and not pluck them up.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that our God is a God who builds up our life and does not pull us down. Today many youngsters are reading this message with much fear as to what would become of your life. You seem to be so worried because you have just started your life, and never guessed that you would end up in such a miserable state of life. May be you lost your spouse at an early age in an accident and you don’t know how to go about with your life. Your future seems to be darkened. You seem to have drowned in deep despair. You are wondering if someone could help you out of all your hurdles.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God wants to set His eyes upon you to do good unto you. He will fulfil the desires of your heart, He will hear your cry and save you from all your problems. Some of you may have lost your spouse and remain as young widows in your parents house. God has kept an open and favourable door for you to rebuild your ruined life. Just as Ruth found favour in the eyes of Boaz a rich man, we pray that you will find favour in the eyes of God and you will find a new way in your life. God will restore to you all that you have lost in your life. God will bring in the right partner into your life to brighten up your sorrow filled life.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God says, “Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance. And the young men and the old together, For I will turn their mourning to joy. Will comfort them and make them rejoice rather than sorrow. God says, My people shall be satisfied with My Goodness. For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil. To give you a future and a hope. God will save you from your horrible situation. Call upon Him in the days of your trouble, He will deliver you and you shall glorify him.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, You wonder if your life will pass away, in this manner or whether your life has come to an end. You desire to have another opportunity in your life, so that you can rebuild or reconstruct your life. To such people God says, I know the pain of your heart, therefore I have kept an open door. Some of the parents who are reading this message seem to be burdened because of your children, since your daughter has come to live with you. May be she has lost her married life. She might have been deserted by her husband too. May be your son is living alone though married. He has been hurt by his spouse because of difference of opinion. But God is in control of your family and your problems. We may not realize that it is the work of the evil one who causes damage in the family life of many couples thus obstructing them from having an inheritance. They destroy the creation of next generation from being into existence. Thus satan is putting an end and closing the next generation from giving glory to God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May God help you to realize this problem and help you to overcome the trials and tribulation that you go through in your family life. God cares for you and always wants to build your home and not pull it down by any means. May God give you the grace to walk carefully and deal wisely in selecting your life partner and help you live a happy family life. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for making us understand that it is the work of the evil one in destroying the harmony of our married life. Teach us to be cautious in our life, to walk carefully and deal wisely in all that we do. Make us to realize the importance of family life and live accordingly.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 44:26, “Who confirms the word of His servants, and performs the counsel of His messengers. Who says, to Jerusalem, “You shall be inhabited. To the cities of Judah, You shall be built.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we learn that God confirms the word of His servants or his prophets which He had foretold to them. And He also performs the counsel of His messengers. We find that the work of redemption wrought for us by Christ encourages to hope for all blessings from Him. Our transgressions and our sins are as thick cloud between heaven and earth. Sin separate us from God. They threaten a storm of wrath. When God pardons our sin He blots out. He dispels this cloud of sin from us so that the way to heaven is open again.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Do not be discouraged. Let not Israel be disheartened for nothing is too hard for God. Those that learn to know Christ, see all other knowledge to be foolishness in comparison with the knowledge of God. Thus the prophesies of the scripture confirm the truth about the redemption of Christ, to His servants.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, as a prophet of God and His messenger I pray that God will rebuild you again. Just as Jerusalem was in ruins, and God wanted it to be again inhabited, and just as the cities of Judah were to be rebuilt, God wants to rebuild your life. When the Bible says, “You shall be built again” that means, you are in a fallen state of life. Some of the areas of your life has been broken or has been ruined. When our life is injured due to some reason then we are hurt much, because it causes severe pain in our heart.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the pain caused in the heart because of the ruined state of life is greater than the physical pain caused due to some injury in our body. The more one suffers from mental pain he goes through depression. Sometimes he is pushed into suicidal thoughts which instigate him to even commit suicide. Some end up with mental sickness due to failures and struggles they go through in their family life or because their life has been broken apart. They even go through severe mental disease that leads to great trauma in life. They are altogether in despair and hopelessness.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, are you in despair? Have you lost all hope in life? Do you think that there is no remedy for the damage caused in your life? Well the Lord of Israel confirms that there is a future ahead of you when you fix your eyes on the Lord Jesus. Learn more of Him. He will open new doors for a bright future for you. He is ever mindful of you. Only He can solve your problem and comfort you of your pain, struggle and the trauma that you are going through in your life. For He will neither forget you nor forsake you. Cast your cares upon Him and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Your heavenly Father knows what you are in need of. God says, “Come unto Me all you who labour and are heavy laden. And I will give you rest.”Only Jesus can give you complete rest. Surrender your life to Him. He will give you peace that passes all understanding. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we remain grateful to you for having pardoned us of our guilt and sins. Teach us to learn more about You. Repair the damages caused in our life due to various reasons. Help us to fix our eyes on You Lord. Make every possible way to rebuild our lives so that we will not be a burden to others rather depend on you for our sustenance.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
