Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 12:5, “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise, says, the Lord, I will set him in the safety for which he earns.”
From the above context, we see how the Psalmist pleads help from God, because there were none among men whom he could dare trust. This Psalm furnishes good thoughts, during bad times. A man may comfort himself, with meditations, and prayers. Bad times occur especially due to scarcity of money, decay of trade, and the desolations of war. But Psalmist says, that bad times are caused due to sin. When the poor and needy are oppressed then the times are very bad. Even when wickedness abounds then the times are very bad. God himself takes notice of the oppression of the poor and the sighing of the needy.
Therefore we need to approach God, and tell him of all grievances, God will certainly punish and restrain false and proud men. He will work deliverance for his oppressed people. His help is given in the fittest time. Though men are false, God is faithful. God will secure his chosen remnant however bad the times are. As long as the world exists, there will be a generation of proud and wicked men. But all God’s people are safe in the hands of God for none can pluck them thence. Since they are built in Him the Rock, and they are safe.
The people of God are poor and are constantly in need of fresh supplies of grace and being often afflicted, are mean in the eyes of this world. Just as the poor are oppressed by the rich, and as the people of Israel, were oppressed by the Egyptians, so are the people of God afflicted by haughty and insolent persons.
So the Lord says, “ Now will I arise, to have mercy on the poor, and needy and to avenge them on their oppressors, and deliver them from their cruel hands.” And thus the Lord promises to do now, speedily and immediately. God arises in the most seasonable times when his people are in the midst of greatest tribulation and in the utmost distress. To such people, God displays, His wisdom power, and goodness. God says, “I will set him in safety for which he earns.”
This shows that God will deliver the poor and needy from their oppression and put them in a comfortable prosperous, safe and happy situation. In due season the Lord will hear the cry of his children who cry out to God day and night unto Him. He will avenge them speedily. God heard the cry of Moses at the Red Sea. God saw Hagar’s affliction and heard her cry. Nothing moves the father like the cries of his children. He stirs himself, overthrows the enemy and sets his beloved in safety. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we believe that You stand on behalf, of the poor, and oppressed. You hear their cry and deliver them from the hands of cruel and tyrant people. Thank You for being so mindful and faithful to your children. May Your wisdom, power and goodness abide within us throughout our lives. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”
From the above verse we come to learn that Apostle Paul was commissioned to do the Lords work. And he readily accepted God’s call, in spite of his weakness. He made mention of his weakness to the Lord three times but the Lord said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you. For My strength is made perfect in weakness.”So after that Paul never made further request regarding his weakness to the Lord. But he strongly believed that he could do all things through Christ who strengthens him.
Never say you can’t do anything in life. But say boldly that you can do all things through the might and power of God. “I can do all things.”This statement represents the ultimate and ideal, consciousness of the Christian. The first thing needful, is to throw off mere self sufficiency and to know our weakness and accept God’s free grace in Christ Jesus. The next is to find the strength made perfect in our weakness and in that to be strong. “Through Christ which strengthens me.” The same word is used in the Bible saying, “Be strong, in the Lord and in the power of his might.”’ Paul once again says, “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful, and appointed me to serve. ” Paul here emphasis the strength of God, infused in him and by this strength he is confident that he can do all things God expected him to do.
Just think of Joseph. He was thrown into a deep empty pit in the wilderness by his own brothers, because of jealousy. They decided to kill him. But suddenly they saw some merchants. So they pulled him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelite for twenty shekels of silver. They dipped his coat with the blood of goat and duped their father saying that some wild beast had devoured him. Therefore Jacob wept for Joseph. In Egypt Joseph was put in jail by Potiphar. All his brothers and even his father thought that he was dead. But God did not allow him to die. God was mindful of Joseph because he was blameless before God. Since he interpreted the dream of Pharaoh and saved Egypt from seven years of famine. Pharaoh set him over all the land of Egypt. Thus God exalted Joseph in the strange land. Joseph was precious in the sight of the Lord, so he honored and exalted him, before his brothers.
The vision given to Joseph by God came to pass. His brothers and his father who thought he was dead, came to Egypt to buy grain and found Joseph as the governor of Egypt. Yes, when the right time came, the victory of God descended upon him, majestically and he became the governor of the entire province of Egypt. Though the promise of God delayed Joseph waited patiently. Hence at the appointed time the promise of God was fulfilled. Therefore never lose heart. Trust in Jesus He will lift you higher. Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like the eagles.
Those of you who have grown weak, and tired and feel so insecure in life and feel so depressed, need to brush aside the feeling of weakness, and like Joseph wait upon God to strengthen you. God wants people like you. Because God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. Joseph was helpless but he never lost hope in God. He relied on God completely in that strange country. So God in turn filled him with wisdom, knowledge and good understanding to interpret the dream of Pharaoh. So he was exalted. Never think very low of yourself. Instead say “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Then you who were lagging behind will suddenly shoot up and gain recognition. And the Lord will surely exalt you in due season. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank You for teaching us through this message that we need to be bold and strive to achieve our goal in life rather than cry over our weakness. Help us to rely on God. And never to lose our hope. Wait upon God to strengthen you. May we believe that the vision of God will come to pass in our life too.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 6-23 , “So Daniel was taken up out of the den. And no injury whatever was found on him because he believed in his God.”
Fom the above passage we learn that King Darius was sure that Daniel’s God would save him from the mouth of the lion. Though he was restless the whole night to have put Daniel in the Lion’s den, as per the law, yet deep in his heart there was a struggle, within him. He spent the night fasting. And no musicians were brought before him. He spoke to Daniel saying “ Your God whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” The king knew that the living God of his servant Daniel was able to protect him. So early in the morning, when the King found Daniel alive in the lion’s den, he asked his men to take Daniel out of the den. His joy knew no bounds.
We see the power of God over the fiercest creatures, and believe his power to restrain the roaring lion that goes about continually seeking to devour. Yet Daniel was kept perfectly safe, because he believed in his God. Those who boldly and cheerfully trust in God to protect them in the way of duty, shall always find God as a present help. Thus the righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his stead.
Dxaniel was a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem. He was taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. So Daniel was a refugee. Although Daniel was a captive in the land of Babylon, he was not ashamed of his relationship with his God. He did not have any sort of inferiority complex in him. He was bold to stand for God and his faith. He was a man of prayer. Therefore God raised Daniel to a high office by his royal master Darius. Those who suffer from inferiority complex display faithlessness. They seem to have lost all hope in themselves. They may even say, “Look I cannot do anything.” I can never be successful. I will never achieve anything in life.” You should never have the attitude of inferiority complex in you, It will suppress you and then you can never shine in your life.
Many children due to inferiority complex fail to dress well. They think they need to show their humbleness only by being poorly clad. This is not what God expects of you. God wants you to look majestic. The Bible says, “Put on the garment of humbleness.” Humbleness is revealed from the heart and not through dressing. Many show their humbleness through their code of dressing but in their heart they are proud. “God resists the proud. But gives grace to the humble.”Daniel was humble in nature. Though he was a slave he humbled himself, before God. He was never proud even though he was well placed, and held a high office in Babylon.
If we live in the fear of God, and walk according to that rule, peace shall be upon us. We should never lose our hope and faith in God. Neither should we have the quality of inferiority complex. It will only ruin our progress in life. It will keep us backward and prevent us from going forward in life. The kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever, are the Lord’s; and we are his redeemed children. We represent Him therefore we need to be bold in Him. Be strong in Him. May we be doers, as well as believers of His word, If not we shall find to have deceived ourselves. So may God give you the grace to analyse for yourself and get rid of inferiority complex. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord we thank You for teaching us through this message that we should not have inferiority complex in us. Remove such an attitude from us and help us to be bold and majestic before others. May we learn to be humble and not proud. Help us to show humbleness in heart through our action. Exalt us like Daniel.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 16:33 , “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, there is no one in this world who does not go through troubles. Everyone seems to be suffering in one way or the other. The Bible says, “Take heart! I have overcome the world.”Some people will face financial problems, while others have some sickness. May be some are badly in need of a good job, or may be on the lookout for a life partner. Some may be going through broken family life. Some must have lost their dear and near one and immersed in deep sorrow. Thus we see a whole lot of people, suffering in one way or the other. That is why the Lord says, “In this world you will have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” He encourages the people by saying, not to be worried but to be cheerful in the Lord.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, When Jesus walked on the face of this earth, He was not a bouncy, positive thinker. He was a man of sorrows. And so He promised His followers, “In the world you will have tribulation”. When we find ourselves experiencing weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities, something strange isn’t, happening to us, ”for the Bible says, When I am weak, then I am strong.”
My Dear brothers and Sisters, We may experience sorrow from the world and redemption from our Saviour who will work in our sorrows for ultimate good. It’s the spirit in the soul that allows us to be both sorrowful yet always, rejoicing. So in your days of darkness, Jesus understands your situation and does not want you to be troubled about the situation you are going through. Since He has overcome the world He wants you to overcome the world too.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This is the conclusion of our Lord’s Sermon to his disciples. Since he was about to depart, to His Father in Heaven, He assured His disciples that he was going to prepare a place for them. He came to this earth to fulfil the plan of God the Father. The will of the Father, was that Jesus had to take up the sufferings of the cross. Jesus knew that His disciples would not be able to bear his sudden departure. So He prepares their heart to bear not only the loss of his presence, but also to bear with Him the sufferings he had to go through on the cross of Calvary as it was the will and plan of God the Father. He cautions His disciples by saying, that He had told them of these things so that they might have peace in Him. May we apply His counsel in our life and lead a life pleasing unto God and thus acquire peace.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are glad to know that you were mindful of your disciples. You had prepared their heart to bear Your sufferings. Thank You for preparing a place for us in Heaven. Help us to hold on to Faith and overcome the world. May we remember to be born of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I take this moment to wish all the mothers in this world, “A happy Mother’s day”.
The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Proverbs 31: 10,15,16 , “’Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far more than rubies. She also rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household. She considers a field and buys it. From her profits she plants a vineyard.’’
The above verse is often cited in praise of wives and mothers. And is among the most popular and familiar texts from Proverbs. From the above verse king Lemuel ‘describes “’the virtuous wife” by the tremendous amount of work she does for her family. She also rises while it is yet night. And provides food for her household. She is not afraid of the snow, and all her household are clothed in scarlet. God says, it is part of what a truly valuable woman will do. Paul an inspired apostle of Jesus Christ expects the younger woman to be discreet, chaste homemakers, good and obedient to their own husbands that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
What Apostle Paul and King Lemuel speaks through the Proverbs, is that God wants women to work for their families. Lydia, for example, held a job. A valuable woman works with her husband rather than challenging his authority or doing him harm. The Bible says, the heart of her husband safely trusts her. So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not evil, all the days, of her life. Lemuel speaks of the husband being well respected in the community due to his wife’s support and work behind the scenes. In God’s ideal family, husband and wife are a team working together to overcome problems, strengthen one another, and raise godly children.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, If a house is divided against itself that house cannot stand. And when woman refuse to work with her husband, it is no wonder why so many homes are broken today. A valuable woman works with and supports her husband, despite his failings. And knows that the peace from submission is far more valuable than always getting her way. A valuable woman works for the Lord. The Godly woman’s work is not just for her family it is also for her God. She extends her hand to the poor, yes. she reaches out her hands to the needy. The passage concludes with a grand note saying, Charm is deceitful, and beauty is passing but a woman who fears the Lord she shall be praised. There are many things that a woman can do for the Lord in a better way, than men can. Dorcas was one such woman who was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. She made tunics and garments for many of the widows in Joppa. God appreciates such hard work and promises to reward. When life is done, and we look back over our lives, our focus will not be on how many ladders we climbed or the size of the pay cheques we earned but on whether we worked for the Lord. Valuable woman realize the importance of God’s work. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us, as to how a valuable woman ought to be. We thank you for women like Lydia, and Dorcas who set a good example of valuable woman. Teach us Lord to work united with our husband and build our family and also serve the Lord together. Help us to be patient and tolerant with our spouse. May we realize the importance of God’s work in our lives and strive to work for God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
