My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 33:9, “For He spoke, and it was done. He commanded and it stood fast.”My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we realize the power and force with which the Lord spoke His word. And when He spoke it was done. God says, My word that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please. And it shall prosper in the thing for which it was sent. For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And God who cannot lie, promised His word before the world began. The Bible says, In the beginning was the word and the word was God. Jesus Christ Himself, is the word of God. For the word of God is alive and active. We must sincerely and simply believe, that What God has spoken is true. For “’Your word is a lamp to my feet And A light to my path”.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, One should understand that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Because God is the very author of speech. In fact He is continually speaking His word. Through His word He is activating His will and revealing His son allowing us to know Him and make Him known. Everything exists by the spoken word of God. By His voice He continually makes His will known to everything and everyone. Through the first chapter of Genesis God is set on bringing, forth creation. He desires it, He speaks it and it comes into existence. God said, “Let there be light, and there was light.”Then God said, “Let us make man in our image.”’ So God created man in His own image. It was God’s will to give us life. The Bible says, that God knew us before we were and He spoke us into being. His spoken word gives us physical life, and establishes the purpose for our lives. The Bible records the magnificence of the voice of the Lord. It says, The Lord thundered from heaven, And the most high uttered his voice. The voice of the Lord is upon many waters. The God of glory thunders. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. Yes, the voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. The voice of the lord divides the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness. The voice of the Lord strips the forest. And in His temple every one speaks of his glory.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, thus we see that there is power in the word of God. The Bible says, “Heaven and Earth will pass away but My words shall not pass away.” God says, I send My word and heal My people. Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me ? Jeremiah says, “Thy Word was unto me the joy, and rejoicing of Mine heart.” John Says “’You are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.”Paul says, “And the word of God increased.” May the word of God increase in you richly, cleanse you from all worldly thoughts and may it be the joy and rejoicing of your heart. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord I pray that I would heed to Your word and cleanse my way. Revive me according to your word. Help me not to forget Your Word. Make me understand the way of the Your Precepts. For I shall mediate on Your wonderful works. Teach me to trust in Your Word. Give me understanding to learn Your Commandments. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Luke 18:13-14, “And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” 2000 years ago, in the days when Lord Jesus lived on this Earth, He spoke to the people in parables as it would make it easy for them to understand.
The above, is one such parable that talks about two people who went to the temple of the Lord to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee went to the front of the temple and starts to exalt himself to the Lord. The tax collector stayed at the back end of the temple and prayed. He did not even have the guts to lift his eye up to heaven; he beat upon his chest and cried to the Lord saying ‘Lord have mercy on me’. Both of them went to the temple at the same time but the Pharisee boasted about himself whereas the tax collector humbled himself. Of the two, the tax collector found favor in the sight of God and he was blessed. He left the temple as a righteous man and also received mercy from God. The Pharisee went into the temple of God thinking high about himself and came out as a sinful man while, the tax collector went in as a sinner and as he humbled himself, he came out as a righteous man. The sin that the Pharisee did while praying was that he compared himself to the tax collector and boasted about himself. Secondly, he repeatedly highlighted all that he did for God. The bible says that God Himself resists the pride.
My dearly beloved, today you need to examine yourself and check if you are like the Pharisee or the tax collector. When you go to church, you must come out as a righteous person being forgiven by God and not as a sinner. When you humble yourself before the Lord and ask for forgiveness, He is gracious enough to forgive all your sins. You must never boast about yourself. God dislikes such people. When you pray, humble yourself before the Lord so that you will receive favor in the sight of the Lord.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that Your children may examine themselves today. Lord, may they learn to humble themselves in prayer. Forgive all their shortcomings and deliver them Father. The bible says that You give grace to the humble. I Pray that You may give Your children the grace to sustain them. Bless them Lord Jesus. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord with tears, the word that the Lord gave me to bless you on this day is from the book of Exodus 34:10 “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you”.
God is telling you that He is making an agreement between you and God. In this world you will have problems, tribulation, burden of debts, tough situations and even sicknesses. Did you know that amidst all these we have a God, who has the power to change all the situations by sending just one word? He will take care of everything. God says “I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth. I will perform it in front of those who shall see you.”
My dear beloved, do not be worried about anything in life. All those who have considered you to be useless and have caused you pain shall see what the Lord is going to do for you. God will never let you down. You are precious in His sight. The Lord says “Until I accomplish this promise I will neither leave you nor forsake you”. Not a word that comes from the mouth of God will go in vain. He will be with you at all times. Trust in the Lord and cling onto His promises. He will be by your side and deliver you.
God Bless You
Prayer:
Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this wonderful day. I thank you for blessing your children. Father, I pray that You may set your children free from all their problems and fill them with Your peace. May You fulfill all the promises and show them Your wonders all the days of their life Lord. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Job 1:21, “The Lord Gave And the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the lord.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God who gives us all that we have also has the right to take away from us. There was no picture grandeur and more touching than that of Job, who was very wealthy and happy during his earlier days, rich, joyful, with all his children around him. He lived in much honour and dignity and walked upright before God. Then came the dramatic completeness and suddenness of his great trials. One day he was suddenly stripped of all that he possessed. Though Job lost everything he did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Job felt that God had taken away what belonged to Him. He did not murmur against God or complain about his loss. May be He blessed the Lord for giving him life. Job was a spiritual man, who trusted God. He was a prayerful man, who kept his seven sons and three daughters, covered by prayer and supplication. He was a wise man who had been blessed by God in many ways. And he was a pillar of spiritual piety among his peers. But Job was unaware of the spiritual battle that was raging in heavenly places. Although he knew God as Creator, and worshipped him with reverent fear.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, Multiple disasters befell the stricken man, including the death of his ten children, and the loss of his entire material assets. His many possessions and dearly loved offspring were all snatched away from Job in one day but this godly man did not curse the Lord despite, the broken hearted grief. Job tore his mantle, in anguish of hearts, shaved his head, as a sign of mourning and inner turmoil and fell on the ground in order to worship the Lord. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Satan thought that Job would curse God. But Job recognised that everything he had was a gift from the Lord. And acknowledged that God retains the right to remove it. God is equally justified in permitting evil to overtake his servant as well as good.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Job’s response to his tragic loss demonstrates a truly extraordinary man. With a truly remarkable faith in God. He reacted to his woes with worship. And to his devastating losses with reverence and humility of heart. Job did not curse as satan had supposed. Despite his ongoing problems and pain he retained his faith in the Lord which honoured God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May the Lord help you also to reiterate the words that came from the mouth of Job and the sentiment that ruled his heart, even when we do not, know or understand why difficulties and disasters strew our pathway. May we be prepared to cry like Job, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the amazing lessons we can learn from your servant Job. Lord we thank you for the many blessings you have graciously given us throughout our life. Teach us to realize, that all that we have is from You. And whether we are rich or poor, whether we have much or little, Whether we are rejoicing or in mourning, May we rejoice in the goodness always whether You give or take away,
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 92:12, “The Righteous Shall flourish like a Palm tree. He shall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters from the above context we understand the beauty, the erectness, the stateliness and the growth of the palm tree. All this is the symbol of the prosperity, and the happiness of a righteous man. The Palm tree is constantly green and flourishing, spreads its branches very wide and grows to a vast size. The tree affords refreshing shade to travellers. It also produces dates a very sweet luscious kind of fruit. It is a most beautiful tree. And in every way, an invaluable treasure to the inhabitants of those hot countries. And hence it is considered as a fit symbol of the flourishing state of a righteous man.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Bible says, the righteous grow like a Cedar, in Lebanon. They are immensely large, Some of them are nearly 35 to 40 feet tall. They flourish for ages. And are always, green. When cut down they yield a most beautiful, kind of wood, brown in colour, solid, durable, and in some sort incorruptible. The Cedars as well as the palm trees when compared to the short lived and withering grass are a striking illustration of the well founded durable, and continually increasing virtue and happiness of the truly righteous in opposition to the momentary, trifling and perpetually decaying prosperity of the wicked.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Cedar is a noble and long lived tree. The Bible says, As the days of a tree, are the days, of my people. Just as the Cedar waves its mighty branches in perpetual verdure over the mountains, the truly godly man under all adversities retains the joy of his soul and continues to make progress in the divine life. Though the grass makes hay for the oxen the Cedars help in building the temple of the Lord. The palm trees too were planted within the very house of the Lord, and their presence there was ornamental, appropriate and highly suggestive. They were best emblem of the righteous, a fat, and flourishing old age – a peaceful end – a glorious immortality.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God sometimes grants prosperity to wicked men in displeasure. Yet they flourish but for a moment. Hence let us seek for ourselves the salvation and grace of the Gospel. Let us be anointed by the Holy Spirit, and share the Redeemer’s glory. It is from his grace, by his word and Spirit, that believers receive all the virtue, that keeps them alive. And makes them fruitful. The text tells us not only what the righteous is but what he shall be, come what may. The good man shall flourish and flourish in the noblest manner. May the Lord help you also to be righteous and walk worthy of the Lord God.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, help us to grow in the Lord daily like the trees that brings forth fruit in its season. Lord let our days be like the trees that live long. Teach us to enjoy peace and grow fat like stall fed calves. Make our lives a blessing to others.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
