You Shall Receive New Strength.

Dearly Beloved,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus  Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait upon the Lord,   Shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,  they shall walk and not faint.”

From the above context, we do understand that where God had begun the work of grace, He will perfect it. He will help those who wait in humble dependence upon Him. In the strength of Divine grace, their souls, shall ascend, above the world. They shall run according to God’s commandments cheerfully. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. Which means, they shall put forth fresh feathers like the eagle. They shall run and not be weary. Which means that they who trust in God, would be vigorous, elevated, unwearied, that He would sustain and uphold   them. And that they would not faint while doing His service.

Today is the day when the Lord is going to give you new strength. His mercies are new every morning. God desires to bless His children with new mercy and grace   every day. He grants such mercy to children who wait on the Lord for a long period of time. In that matter for which you have been waiting for so long a time, God wants to perform a miracle for you. Today as you are reading this message, many good things will happen in your life. But you need to wait on the Lord patiently. When you expect a great blessing from God you need to wait for a period of time and this involves patience. Only when you wait you will realize the greatness of receiving your reward.

People who wait, on God without using any means to obtain his goal,  is meaningless. For instance the farmer who awaits a good crop should wait on God, while he ploughs and sows his field. He should do his part and wait patiently for the Lord to display his power and greatness. Such people will renew their strength. Which means, they shall increase, renew and cause to revive and restore that which is decayed.

We need to wait upon the Lord as children wait on their parents,  to do them honour, and receive food and blessings from them. As servants depend upon their masters, to do their work and have their wages. As clients on their patrons to have advice of them. The waiting implies of course, the expectant attitude of faith. Even the eagle with hope renews its plumage in extreme old age. Because, there is no failure for the faithful, and faith knows no weariness.

The Psalmist says,  I will wait for the Lord, who hides his face from the house of Jacob. I will look eagerly unto the Lord, for help. No one who puts His hope on the Lord will be put to shame. Therefore I urge you Brethren to wait on the Lord and be of good courage. The Lord will grant you new strength and perform miracles as He has promised you in the future. He satisfies the longing soul, and fills your mouth with good things. So that your youth is renewed like the eagles. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we are thankful to you for appointing opportunities, and means for us to achieve our blessings that you have stored up for us. Teach us to wait patiently and with an act of reverence to receive our goals. Lord grant us new strength. That we may soar high like the eagles and reach great height in our lives.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen

BE STRONG

Dearly Beloved,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of  Joshua. 1:5,  “No man shall be able to stand before you  all  the days of your life. As I was with Moses So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people, you shall  divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.”

From the above context we understand that Moses the elect leader of the people of Israel, who went up to mount Nebo to the top of Pisgah looked over the promised land, of Israel and died at the age of 120 in Moab. He did not enter the land of Canaan. As a result all the people were distressed and troubled in their heart over the death of their leader who had brought them up to the borders of Jordan. Now there was doubt,   fear, and anxiety in the minds and hearts of the people of Israel. They wondered as to who would lead them further into the land of Canaan. And it was at that time when God appointed Joshua as the next leader to lead the people of Israel into the land of Canaan.

When Joshua was elected as the next leader of Israel, he was troubled in his heart, as to what he was going to do in future with the people of Israel, and how he was going to lead  them into the land of Canaan. So God called Joshua, and assured him that He was there with him and  asked him not to be troubled. He tells Joshua, “’No man shall be able to stand before you all  the days of your life. As I was with Moses So I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, ”God actually encouraged Joshua, to carry out his mission. After Elijah God chose Elisha, Apostle Paul prepared Timothy to carry on his discipleship. The death of ministers, apostles and preachers cannot arrest the task of the Lord. God Himself appointed new leaders as soon as the former leader had completed his task.

Some of you like Job, who have lost everything in life, are reading this message. May be you are disturbed in your heart as to what God has in store for you. Well it is only in such trying period, that you tend to draw close to God. Both Job’s wife and his friends criticised Job for his righteousness and asked him to curse God and die. But Job never sinned against God by his mouth. Therefore God blessed the latter part of his life.  Only when you  go through  a  great loss in your life, God changes your sorrow into  joy. God immediately changed   the sorrow of the   people  of Israel  into joy  by electing a new leader Joshua,  to take care of them in the wilderness. God tells Joshua, “Be strong and  of good courage, do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is  with you, wherever you go. Similarly God is encouraging you today that He will lead you safe in the land of the living. He will instruct you with His eyes and lead you beside the still waters. Though you  walk  through the way of darkness, He  will  lead you with His rod  and  staff, So be cheerful in the Lord.  Hold on to Him, then he will turn your sorrow into joy.

Prayer:  Our  loving heavenly Father, we thank You  for this blessed day. Lord we are thankful to you for appointing   new leaders the moment the former leader completes his task.   Thank you Lord for your care and concern regarding the people  of  Israel.  You not only led them to the land flowing with milk and honey but also made Joshua to distribute the land as an inheritance which God had sworn to their fathers.  Lord  bless us,  as you blessed the Israelites.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

All things are possible with God.

Dear   Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has   given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Luke 18:27 Jesus Said, “ What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

From the above context we  learn  that  our God is known as Elshaddai, God Almighty.  Lord   Jehovah Jireh    God who provides. He is a mighty God, He is an awesome God, with such a God, all things are possible.  What is impossible with man is possible with God. Jesus once said to the rich young ruler, ‘’Sell all that you have and follow Me.”  The young man went away sorrowful. Christ then turned to his disciples and said, “It is very  hard for those who are rich to enter into the kingdom of God. ‘’The disciples were greatly astonished and answered,  “If it is so difficult to enter the kingdom,  who then can be saved? And Christ gave this blessed answer. “The things which are impossible with man is possible with God. “’ Then Jesus explains that what is impossible with man is possible with God.’’ He can enable wealthy men to walk humbly before God as Abraham did. Just as He can enable a poor man  like Lazarus  to  do so. He is able to save to the utmost, all those who   come to Him through Jesus.

He is  the  God  of  the impossible. It is a reminder   that, if it was not  for  God’s  all prevailing goodness  not one of us would  be saved.   But   nevertheless  it is necessary for us to thrust aside anything that hinders us from following  God  fully.  God knew that in the case of this  young man the problem was that he was  too bound,  to his possessions. God knew that unless they were removed they would ever be a  burden  around his neck. His heart would never be set on God. Thus he had to choose between God and mammon and he had to choose decisively.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, have you made a right choice in your life? Are you busy with the affairs of this world and all its wealth.  Is your heart set on the things of this  world ?  The Bible says,  For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil.   And some while, longing for it have wandered away from the faith and  pierced   themselves  through  many  sorrows.  Apostle Paul charges those that are rich in this world, that they may not be high minded. Nor trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. For  Godliness with contentment is great gain. May the Lord give you the grace to discern for yourself that which is right and pleasing in the sight of  God. We  pray that the Lord help you to set your affection on things above and not on things on the earth. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Lord  teach us not to be bound by the things of this world.  Help us to make a proper decision, with regard to godliness and seek those things that are above. Let our life be hid with  Christ  in God. May we put off the old man with his deeds and be renewed in Christ.   Help us to realise that what is impossible with man is possible with God.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God grants perfect Peace.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

My  Dear  Brothers  and  Sisters, In order for us to have peace,  all we need  to do is to focus our minds on the Lord,   then we begin to trust in Him and His power. This wonderful promise was given to Isaiah when Israel, was going through its darkest period. We see even today, that many people are surrounded by much gloominess, and depression and when we are constantly threatened with the three great enemies of doubt, fear and worry, we need to keep our minds fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ and realize how precious and comforting these words become to us.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,  God is telling you to cling on to Him firmly from this day onwards. At times you might have been unsuccessful in achieving your goals.  And   this may be because you had  left Jesus behind. But from now on you hold on to Him.  Then you will find a progress in your life. God is not happy with those who backslide from the Lord. The Bible says, “For a righteous man fall seven times and yet he rises again.” The Peace which God offers is very practical. And this can be experienced by us through His grace.  And this peace can be attained by trusting our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul through his letters encourages the Philippians to rejoice in the Lord always.  He says,  “ Rejoice  in the Lord always, and I say again rejoice.” Let your gentleness be evident to all. For the Lord is near, therefore do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanks giving present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ procured peace for us, upon the cross of  Calvary, and that peace is conveyed to our hearts    and minds by the Holy Spirit,  as stated in the Bible.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love,  joy peace, forbearance, kindness,  goodness and faithfulness.  Further the Bible says, Great peace  will come to those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, God gives us a guarantee that if we will walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, He will keep our hearts, in perfect peace. If we do our part, then He will do His part. Therefore I encourage you to love the Law(commandments) and meditate in it day and night then observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way, prosperous and then you will have good success. God Bless you.

Prayer:  Our   loving   heavenly Father, we thank  You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for having   procured   peace  for us on the cross of Calvary. Teach us to keep Your commandments.  Help us to cling  on   to   You  O Lord,  for all our needs.  Be  with  us  and guide us in our day  to day life.  May we enjoy the fruit of the spirit in our life. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Call me Mara.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of   Ruth 1:20 “  She said to them,    “Do not call me Naomi, Call me Marah.  For the Lord has dealt very bitterly with me.  ”

From the above context we understand that Naomi had lived a very miserable life. She was married to Elimelech. and they from their home in Judea, to Moab. Suddenly her husband   Elimelech   died. Thereafter she gave her sons in marriage to the Moabites women. One  was  Orpah and the other was Ruth.  During the course of time her two sons also died leaving their young wives as widows without any children.  It was a miserable  and  painful  time for Naomi. She not only lost her husband but also her sons. And this added to her misery. She felt loneliness, deprived of love and disgraced.

So she decided to leave Moab and return back to Bethlehem the house of bread. She was so frustrated  in  life that she called her daughter in laws and asked them to return to their father’s house.  Orpah   kissed her mother in law and left to her father’s house. She insisted that her daughter in laws, return to their own homes remarry and live a happy married life. But Ruth said, to her. “For wherever you go, I will go. And wherever you lodge,  I will lodge. Your people shall be my people. And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die.” So Naomi could not compel her daughter  in law Ruth, to stay behind. Ruth stayed back with her mother in law.

Now therefore  Naomi arose  with her daughter in law, that she might return from the country of Moab, to her own country Bethlehem, as she had heard, the good news that the Lord had visited her people, by giving them bread. The good news from her own country revived her soul and spirit.

Since Naomi  trusted in the Word of God, that was sweeter than honey and returned back to Bethlehem, God changed all the situation of her life. The people in the city did not know that she had lived a bitter life in Moab.  All looked at her with pity and sympathy. She was blessed with a new descendant, through Ruth who gave up her pagan heritage and followed her mother in law to worship the God of Israel,  and came to Bethlehem. She was married to Boaz,  a very rich man and she begot a son through him. Thus Naomi was blessed with a grandson. The people in the city praised Naomi saying “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you without a relative,  and may the child be a restorer of life, and  a  nourisher of your old age.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, have you lost your loved ones like Naomi, and so you live a bitterful life or have you lost your job, and so you feel depressed, because you do not know how to manage your family.  Have you faced a huge loss in your business or steeped in debts that you are unable to repay and therefore you feel so bitter in life. Don’t worry,  believe in the promises of God which is sweeter than honey,  then you will experience the goodness of God in the  land of the living as Noami and Ruth Experienced. Just as God gave another opportunity for them to regain all that they had lost in life, God will help you to recover all that you have lost in life and live a successful life before others and crown you with double portion of blessings.  God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank You for rewarding us  when we believe in the Word Of God. Help us to be faithful  when we go through severe troubles like Naomi and be bold like Ruth, while   making decisions in our life. We too have lived a miserable life, like them.  Therefore   Lord,  give us another opportunity to live a glorious life even in our old age like Naomi.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen
