My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 12:5, “For The Oppression of the poor for the sighing of the needy, Now I Will Arise says, the Lord. I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God will protect the poor from those who oppress them. The word “poor” does not refer to a person who does not have money because a person may have money but might lack something else. Anyone who lacks something is considered to be poor. God takes note of all your problems that you go through. Only when a person is steeped in problems he goes through frustration. Such a person needs to be set free from his captivity.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The phrase, “For the oppression of the poor,” refers to the tribulations which the Israelites suffered while they were captives in Babylon. The Lord represents himself, as looking on and seeing their affliction and hearing their cry. He comes forward to help them. God says, I alone delivered them into the hands of their enemies because of their transgression. But I alone can and will deliver them from the hands of their enemies. And the manner of their deliverance shall show the power and influence of their God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God does not want the oppressed to return ashamed. He says, let not the enemy rejoice when you go through trials or when you fall. For God says, “I will arise when you sit in darkness I shall be a light to you.” We should not rob the poor, because he is poor. And we should not oppress the afflicted. For the Lord will plead their cause and plunder the soul of those who plunder them. God himself grieved for the misery of Israel, and delivered them from the Egyptians who oppressed them with cruel affliction.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God always, saves the poor, from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. And He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker. Therefore we should not inflict the poor. In case you have been oppressed by your boss or someone who is in authority over you then God will come to rescue, you as you are precious in his sight. All you have to do is to trust in the Living God. Cast all your burdens and problems upon Him and He will set you free from your bondage. He will protect you from those who want to destroy you. He will keep you as the apple of His eye. He will not leave you in the hands of the enemy instead he will guard you and protect you with His wings of protection. God says that He will set you in safety for which you yearn for. So do not worry. He performs what is appointed for you and many such things are with Him.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord thank you for telling us how we need to treat or consider the poor. Make us to understand the problems of the poor and treat them with honour and respect. Never to underestimate them, or inflict them with cruelty but to be merciful to them.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of” Isaiah 65:22, “For as the days of a tree, are the days, of My People.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we learn that God does not want you to live like the leaf which withers away, or which falls away every year during the autumn season, but as of a tree, as of such that last long, as oaks, as cedars, and the like. The sense being that the Lord’s people should live long as the trees planted by them.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, As the days, of the tree of life, refers to the long life, of good men. The tree of life, is typical of Christ who is considered as a tree of life, to them that lay hold upon Him. God expects His children to live long in their houses which they have built and for many years eat of the fruit of the vineyard.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The blessing of long life is carried on with the promises of all other instances of outward happiness. The Bible says, that David asked God only for the preservation of his short and mortal life. But God granted him everlasting life. With long life will I satisfy him says, the Lord. The man described in this Psalm, fills out the measure of his days. And whether he dies or is old he is quite satisfied with his life and is content to leave it.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God wants to satisfy you with long life. This is the emphasis of heavens joy for you shall not only be with the Lord, but ever with the Lord. God shall guard you that you shall live to a good old age and be filled with years and desire to depart from life.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Bible further says, that the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, whose growth may not be rapid. But when we see a palm standing erect and growing amid the dearth and draught of the desert, we have a fine picture of the godly man who in his uprightness aims at the glory of God. He is made to live and thrive where all other things perish. The text tells us not only what the righteous is, but what he shall be. Come what may the good man shall flourish and flourish after the noblest manner.
The Bible says, He shall grow like a Cedar, in Lebanon. This is another noble and long lived tree. As the days of a tree, are the days, of My people, says the Lord. Over the mountains, the Cedar, waves its mighty branches in perceptual verdure, and so the truly godly man under all adversities retains the joy of his soul, and continues to make progress, in the divine life. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord because you desire that we should live a long life like that of a tree. Help us to be patient and endure longsuffering to live a complete life. Teach us to grow strong and healthy in our spiritual life. May we be rich like the Cedar in Lebanon and flourish like the palm tree. We thank you for the life you have given and for the eternal life. We praise you O God for your free gift of salvation.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Proverbs 13:23, “ Much Food Is In the Fallow Ground Of The Poor. And For Lack Of Justice there is waste.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that the poor have the resources at hand but through lack of care or application they waste it. Which means that the poor may sow enough to have plenty of food but lack of management often keeps them in poverty. They have very little foresight. When they get something they quickly spend it or have a big feast and then they go without for a long time. Some people are poor, because they don’t have enough. Others are poor, because they don’t manage.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The God that cannot lie, has engaged, that to the righteous, good shall be repaid. They shall be abundantly recompensed for all the good, they have done. And all the ill they have suffered in this world. The Bible says, the righteous bloom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. They shall see the glory of the Lord and the Excellency of our God. So that though many have been losers for their righteousness, they shall not be losers by it. Though the recompense may not come quickly, it will come in the day of payment. In the world of retribution and it will be an abundant recompense.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Bible says, a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. He does not lay all out upon himself, but is in care to do well for those that come after him, not by withholding more than is necessary but by a prudent and decent frugality. He trains up his children to this, that they may leave it to their children, and he is careful both by justice and charity to obtain the blessing of God upon what he has and to entail that blessing upon his children. A good man by being good and doing good, by honouring the Lord, with his substance, and spending it in his service secures it to his posterity. His prayers his instructions, his good example, will be the best entail and will be an inheritance, to his children’s children.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Bible says, that the Israelites shall spoil the Egyptians and eat the riches of the Gentiles. God in His providence, often brings into their hands that which wicked people had laid up for themselves. Many make excuse for their idleness and that they have, but a little, to work on. But a man by making the best of everything may live comfort upon it. Thus we see a small estate, improved through hard work whereas a great estate may be ruined by indiscretion. There is one that has a great deal, but it is destroyed and brought to nothing for want of prudence in the management.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May the Lord help you to be prudent to make use of the resource that is available and work, to the best of your capacity to inherit the blessing of God and thus impart the blessing to your children. Hard work and proper management is the result of true success. Never be discouraged or disappointed at failures. Rather strive to achieve your goals in life. Put your faith and trust in the Lord. For though the righteous man falls seven times he will rise again. He will neither leave you nor forsake you. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord thank You for clearly telling us how we need to work hard to improve our status in life. And also to teach our children the importance of hard work and pass on our inheritance to them. Teach us to be wise and diligent in all our effort to progress.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that Jesus Christ himself was truly man and the messiah. He came from heaven into this world having been sent by the Father and with the full consent and good will of his own. And those who desire to see Christ, like Zaccheus will break through all opposition and take pain to see him. Christ invited himself to Zaccheus’ house. Wherever Christ comes he opens the heart and inclines it to receive him. He that has a mind to know Christ shall be known of him. Those whom Christ calls must humble themselves and come down. And should be able to receive him joyfully, who brings all good things with him.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Zaccheus gave proof publicly that he had become a true convert. He does not pretend like the Pharisees, but through the grace of God he shows the sincerity of faith and repentance. Zaccheus is considered to be a happy man, for now he is turned from his sins, and all the benefits of salvation will come to him. Christ comes to his house, and where Christ comes he brings salvation with him. He came into this lost world to seek and to save it. The purpose and design of Jesus was to save, when there was no salvation in any other.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost. Like the lost sheep from its fold. There were ninety nine that safely lay in the shelter of the fold. But one was away on the hills away. Far from the gates, of the farm house away on the mountains. Jesus once told the story of the good shepherd, who went in search of the lost sheep leaving the remaining ninety nine, in the safety of the fold. When we recollect the incident of David, the shepherd boy, we find that he would run to protect the sheep from the bear and the lion. He looked after the flock of his seven brothers. Though he was the youngest He was strong, brave, and trusted God. Once a lion pulled a lamb away but he grabbed the beast and killed it. Likewise he killed the bear that attacked his flock. David knew that God had helped him. When evening came, David, would play on his shepherd’s pipe, and would call them back to the fold. This implicates how Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you because You came to seek and to save that which was lost. Thank you for your free gift of salvation. Teach us to be like Zaccheus who desired to see Jesus. And so Jesus not only lifted up his eyes and looked up to him seated on the sycamore tree, but also visited his house himself and announced salvation into his house. Help us also to enjoy the presence of God in our lives like Zaccheus.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Psalms 68:9,10 , “You O God sent a plentiful rain, whereby You confirmed Your inheritance. When it was weary. Your Congregation dwelt in it. You O God provided from Your goodness for the poor.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context, we learn that God sent a plentiful rain. The spirit of grace, and the gospel of grace, are the plentiful rain. Christ himself, the rain of blessing, shall come as showers that water the earth. Such rain as never fell before, dropped on the desert sand. Bread from heaven, and winged fowls fell all around the host of people, good gifts, were poured upon them. Rivers leaped forth from rocks. The earth shook with fear. And in reply the Lord as from his abundance shook out blessings upon it. So the original may be rendered.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, until this time they had been weary and tired even dry. But after the plentiful rain they were speedily refreshed. Their foot did not swell all those forty years. When they were exhausted, when they were weary, God did not neglect them. They were His chosen heritage, and so although he allowed them to experience, weariness and dryness, in their life, he watchfully tended them and tenderly considered their distress.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the same manner, the elect of God who tread down in this wilderness state, are apt, to become, tired and faint. But their ever-loving Jehovah comes in with timely succours. God cheers the faint, strengthens the weak, and refreshes the hungry. By this faithfulness, the faith of God’s people is confirmed and their hearts established. The timely supply of grace, strengthens them again.
The Bible focuses on the people of God, in the land of promise. We see the mercy of God extended to them while they were wandering in the wilderness. They were considered as flock so poor, and wretched. They had no resources of their own, for they were a poor oppressed and afflicted people.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, some of you who are reading this message seem so worried as you did not get a reply to your request. Some are confused about certain things. God knows in what state of mind you are. So God will speak to you. The Lord will send plentiful rain in your life too in order to provide for the poor. Poorness indicates those who are badly in need of something. God is going to send a rain of blessing in the area, which you lack or in which ever area you are poor. May be in your business, in your studies, in your ministry, in your career.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, All these days, you were experiencing a great dryness and draught in your life. You are going through a season of poverty and famine or a period of scarcity. In all these areas a shower of blessing is going to pour down. Not an ordinary rain but a plenteous rain. When the plentiful rain falls, every dry stump will begin to grow and green shoots will spring forth. Similarly your life will bloom and you will shoot up in life. The Bible says, a Rod shall come forth from the stem of Jesse and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. Likewise your light shall break forth like the morning and your healing shall spring forth speedily. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for considering the poor and sending a plentiful rain. For enabling even the dry stumps to shoot up green. We are blessed because You consider us O Lord. Help us to come out of this period of scarcity and poverty and grant to us a period of prosperity that we may glorify Your Name. . In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
