My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of 1 Samuel 1:27 “For this child I prayed and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.”
From the above passage we come to know about Hannah who is one of the two wives of Elkanah. The other wife being Peninnah, had given birth to Elkanah’s children, but Hannah remained childless. So one day, Hannah went up to the temple, and prayed. She wept with great sorrow of heart. Eli the High Priest heard her weeping bitterly at the altar. Hannah was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. She made a vow saying, ‘’Lord if You will give me a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life.” When Eli enquired the reason for her weeping she told him that she was a woman of a sorrowful spirit, therefore She had poured out her heart to God. Eli said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel will grant your petition.”
Dear reader, Hannah conceived and bore a son. And called his name Samuel, God looked into her affliction and heard her cry and answered her prayers. During those days there was a general neglect of religion in the nation. Some of them worshipped other gods. But Elkanah kept his integrity. His resolution was that he and his house should serve the Lord. So God honored this zealous spirit and blessed him and his wife Hannah with a son “Samuel. God not only heard the prayer of Hannah but hears everyone who cries out to Him in truth and spirit.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I would like to share a testimony about a family I met when I went to Australia in July 2017. And a family came to pray with me. When I asked them what I should pray for? They told me about their elder brother who was in America. They had been married for almost ten years but they had no children. So I prayed for them through the phone. I sent God’s word and believed that He will perform a miracle. I said to the Lord. “You are a God of miracles You hear the cry of the needy. You are a God who does more than what we ask, think or pray. Therefore kindly bless my son with the gift of a child. You are a God at hand and a God afar off. I sent the word through the phone hoping that God would perform a miracle. The word took a form within her womb, and she conceived three children in her womb. Praise be to God.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God saw her affliction and blessed her with three children. I again went to Australia in the month of July 2018, that family came again to meet me. I couldn’t recognize them. I asked them what I should pray for? Then they narrated the entire episode that took place in 2017 during my previous visit. They said, that God had blessed their elder brother after I had prayed with two girls and a son. They were filled with great joy. They said, that they had come to thank me. God sent forth the word and performed a miracle. God will perform a miracle for you too if you wait upon Him. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord I thank you for answering our prayers. You are in heaven and You do what you please. When we call You in distress, You hear our cry. Lord we praise You for Your kindness. Bless all those who are in need of a child and may they too rejoice in You all the days of their life for blessing them with a gift of a child.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of–-1 Samuel 15:29 “And also the strength of Israel, “will not lie nor relent” for he is not a man, that He should relent.”
God supported Israel as a nation and strengthened, them against their enemies, and gave them deliverance and salvation to them. God was the author of Israel’s victories. He kept His promise to David, by making him a king over Israel. Thus He gave them spiritual strength, victory over their enemies. The Bible says, “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
My beloved, men are weak, and feeble, and cannot perform what they purpose or promise and therefore repent. Men are changeable in their minds and repent of their first thoughts. But God is unchangeable, and never alters his counsels, or breaks, His covenant. He never reverses His blessings or repents of his gifts that he has promised to give us, nor changes his affection to Israel.
With regard to King Saul, there were several signs of hypocrisy in Saul’s repentance. He sought prophet Samuel only to know about his future by consulting the woman who was a medium at En Dor and seemed most anxious to stand right in his own opinion. All his care was to save his kingship and preserve his interest in the people. Men are fickle and alter their minds, feeble and cannot effect their purpose. But with God it is not so. For the “Strength of Israel will not lie.” What God has purposed He will bring it to pass. For He has all power in the heavens and in the earth and He will not change His purpose concerning you.
In case God has promised to do certain things in your life, He will surely fulfill His promise. The Bible says, For all the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him Amen to the glory of God, through us. Therefore if you remain true to Him you shall not miss any of His promises to You. God promised Abraham that He would multiply him like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. He kept his promise after 25 long years, by blessing him with Isaac through which his generation increased. God promised Moses that He will fight for him and his people. God saved his people from the hands of the Egyptians. God kept his promise. God promised Joshua that he will enter into the land of Canaan. Similarly God led him to the land of Canaan. He promised Jacob,” I will protect you wherever you go. I will never leave you until I have done what I have Promised ”. Likewise blessed him.
What do you expect God to do for you? He will fulfill His promises to you. Only fear Him and walk with Him daily. For all they that trust in the Lord shall prosper. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank you because You keep Your promise. You kept the promises made to Abraham. Jacob, Moses, Joshua and all the men of God. We pray that you will be faithful to us also and help us experience the power of God in our lives too. Teach us to put our faith in You as these men of God who trusted you under odd circumstances. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak. And to those who have no might, He increases strength.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, there may be many who are faint because of afflictions. Maybe they do not have immediate deliverance, or their prayers are not answered at once. And their promises may not be fulfilled as they expected. To such people who are depressed and frustrated in life, God gives fresh supplies of spiritual strength. God strengthens their faith and enlarges their views to behold the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and confirms his blessings and promises of grace unto them. And to those who have no might, He increases strength.
Some people have power, but not to a good extent. To such people, God gives fresh strength as the apostle says,” When I am weak, then I am strong.”They become weak due to their sinful nature, because of their iniquity. To such people God increases the spiritual strength. Sometimes God allows you to go through trials. Through which God wants you to learn, to trust and rely on Him completely for all your needs. God will strengthen you when you are weak. He loves you and cares for you. Trust in Him for all your needs. One word of encouragement is enough to strengthen you, while you pass through a period of trial.
Prophet Isaiah speaks with a special reference to those among God’s people whose faith and hope, were very low, and God would strengthen and support them. Even youth who boast of their strength sometimes fail when God withdraws His support as in the case of Samson. But God promises to renew their strength and they shall grow stronger and soar high like the eagles.
God will enable you also to soar high with power and strength when you truly depend on Him. Increase your faith in Him and you shall experience a great change in your life. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for giving us power and increasing our strength. Help us to rely on You completely for all our needs. Teach us Oh Lord to trust in you at all times. May we endure all our troubles patiently and receive spiritual strength from the Lord. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and sisters, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Mark 5:25-29, “ And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering”.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we learn that, two thousand years ago, during the days when Jesus lived on this Earth, He went about doing many miracles. Jesus took pity at the multitude of people. Irrespective of caste or religion, Jesus performed supernatural miracles. People were astonished at the miracles Jesus performed. As a result His name spread across the nation. It was at this time, that a woman who was suffering from an incurable problem knew that only if she met Jesus, she would be healed. She was longing for an opportunity to meet Jesus. The Bible says that she was suffering from the bleeding of blood for twelve years. She lost all her wealth on the treatment for her disease, yet the disease was not cured. She went through depression. It was at that time she heard the good news that Jesus was passing by her village. She had faith that if only she could touch the hem of the garment of Jesus, she would be healed.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, With great faith she followed the crowd, where Jesus was passing. There was a very huge crowd of people following Jesus. She somehow squeezed herself through the crowd. Even though she was unable to touch Jesus; she managed to touch the edge of his garment. At that moment, a power went out of Jesus and healed her immediately. Her joy knew no bounds. She was filled with great relief.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, , on that day, Jesus walked passed that street and the woman was healed. But today, as you read this passage, the healing power of Jesus is coming into your body right at this very moment. Are you suffering from an incurable disease ? Are you worried that even after taking a lot of medication your disease is not cured? Do not be worried. Jesus is the great physician. There is no disease that He cannot heal. The anointing of Jesus is enough to heal your disease. Believe every word that the Lord has spoken to you today and accept it. Receive your miracle today and be healed. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. There are many people suffering from various kinds of diseases and even the doctors have given up hopes. Father, I pray that You send forth Your anointing and heal their disease. Help them to believe on you and increase their faith. Grant your mercy upon each one of them. May Your powerful words be released into their body and heal their disease. May they see Your glory through the healing that they receive. Lord I commit them into your hands.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 121:2 “My help comes from the Lord. Who made heaven and earth.”
From the above context we learn that when we need God’s help, he will always help us. When we go through a crisis in our life, we usually look to others for help. But David says, “My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” We are in need of help that is powerful, efficient, constant, we need a very present help in trouble. The Bible says, God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. What a mercy that we have it, in Our God. Our hope is in Jehovah for our help comes from him. Help is on the way and will not fail to reach us in due time. God who sends His blessings is never known to be late.
The creator is aware of every emergency, and situations that need His help. Therefore let us be very joyful in our infinite helper, who is willing to bow even the hills themselves to help you. We are bound to look beyond heaven and earth to Him who made them both, rather than put our trust upon the creatures of the earth. In this Psalm, the Psalmist directs and encourages us to repose ourselves and our confidence in God, and by faith to put ourselves under His protection, and commit ourselves to His care. David assures himself of help from God and therefore says, “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help.” The Psalmist encourages us to put our trust upon God as a God of power. David did so and found the benefit of it. Therefore we must fetch in help from God by faith in His promise, for God himself has undertaken to be our protector.
God is not only at your right side, but He will keep the feet of his saints from being hurt. He will have an eye, upon them in their motions. He will never allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. He will prevent you from falling in sin. The sun shall not smite you with his heat by day nor the moon with her cold and moisture by night. He will keep your feet from falling. He will keep His eye upon you in all the directions you go. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. He will continue His care over you from this time forth and even from evermore. He will preserve you in his heavenly kingdom. Trust in Him for He will carry you through.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we praise you for rendering help to us. You are a divine God, You made the heaven and the earth. Yet you are ready to help us when we call. Teach us not to trust on creatures but on the creator. May you be a present help in our trouble.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
