I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalm 66:5 , “Through You we will push down our enemies. Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.”
From the above context we see the sufferings of David, being vividly described, which says, “’Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water” refers to the kind of trials and affliction he experienced in his life.
“ David believed that “Through God’s help he will push down his enemies. And Through the Name of Jehovah, he will trample all those who rise up against him. ” David was one such person who relied on God and trusted Him for all his purpose. He was being chased by his own uncle, King Saul who gathered three thousand men to capture a single man. God had disapproved Saul of being the king of Israel as he disobeyed God. The Bible says, (King Saul disguised himself and approached a woman (witch of Endor) who was practicing witch craft to rise up the Prophet Samuel who was dead. )
David was being chased by Saul and his army as one who hunts a partridge in the mountains. David was hiding among the hills and caves and mountains. And God directed him to escape to the temple of God. So He ran to the temple of God, there he sang a song, saying “You have caused men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfilment.” He entered the temple of God singing and praising God, with burnt offering and paid his vows. He tells the Lord that he could not battle anymore against his enemies and surrenders to the God of Compassion. The moment he surrendered his life (himself ) to God, the Lord began to fight for him. While Saul was in the battle of Mount Gilboa, he fell over his sword and killed himself. Absalom, who rebelled against his father David, was killed during the battle of Ephraim’s Wood against the Philistines. Soon after the death of King Saul and Absalom David established himself as the king of Israel and ruled for nearly forty years both Israel and Judah. David thus put down his enemies.
Many of you who are reading this message, may be fed up of your lives. Because of your own people, who is a constant threat to you. They Search for you, to destroy you and your children. Some of them are trying to separate your children from you. You have not found any justice for all your good deeds in your life. Therefore you have become vexed with your own self, your own life. You don’t even find any sign of justice being done to you. Though it looks as if there is no sign of justice being done for you, a time will surely come when God will intervene and do you justice. Everything, every situation, all the people so close to you may seem to come against you all of a sudden. Yet God of Compassion, will come when you never expect Him and He will perform a miracle for you. He will turn everything in favour of you. Many may come against you. They come to spoil your peace joy, your happiness and cause menace in your life by probing into your family matters, and endanger your own lives. But the moment you call upon Jesus Christ, God will come to your aid and help you from all your difficulties. He will change all things in favour of you. So do not worry, but cast your burden upon the Lord, for he will never allow the righteous to be moved, instead, He will care for you. And will sustain you. May the Lord do justice to you today.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for doing justice to David. Though he struggled for his life yet in the end he emerged victorious. Likewise turn all things in favour of us, for we solely depend upon you for our sustenance. Prevent our enemies from coming to our homes. Give us the discernment to understand and avoid such intruders, who step into our homes to deliberately cause trouble to us.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brother and Sister, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 20:8 “They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen and stand erect.”
My Dear Brother and Sister, from the above context we learn that our God, will help us to stand before others and not stoop to others. When our ways please the Lord then He will lift us up in position that others might see our life and come to know that God reigns in us. To those of you who are reading this message, I wish to say, that you might be thinking of the past hard days, and may be crying over it. You might be lamenting over your shameful life you had lived in the past. But please realize that you have Jesus who can turn your mourning into dancing. The Bible says, that Prophet Isaiah was sent to let God’s people know that He had not forsaken them, and that He would come to their aid and change their mourning into joy—giving them peace and heal their broken hearts, basically trading “Beauty” for the “Ashes” that was their life. Your life too may have been like ashes unfit for any use. But the Lord is willing to convert the ashes to beauty. So cheer up.
My Dear Brother and Sister, today Jesus is coming into your house, to give you double honour, instead of your shame. People who put you down, and suppressed you, and squeezed, you out will come and fall at your feet. And for this to happen in your lives all you need to do is to co operate with Jesus in all your ways. You need to co operate with Him in order that He might lift you Then you shall see a big harvest in your business, you will get back all the pending tenders for which you had earlier, made request. God will exalt you in the place of your ministry, where you had been, once put to shame. Many who are in the ministry are struggling daily in their life but the Lord who has watched your tears and your earnest desire to do His ministry is going to make your name great before others.
My dear Brother and Sister, Many workers of God who are sincerely doing the Lord’s service are crying today because some social elements, and those involved in communal activities, are putting you to shame and even disgracing you through the social media, saying all sorts of evil things about you. And because of this you might be, even going to the extent of quitting your service, for the Lord. You don’t have to do that, as the Lord is coming down to solve your problems. He is coming for you more powerfully. While I was praying in the presence of God, He revealed to me about the glorious things He is about to do, for those who are in the ministry, doing the work of God. Those who are spoiling your name will experience a period of destruction in their life in the coming future. In case you too who are reading this message, are involved in disgracing the ministers of God, I tell you, that you will also fall under the wrath of God.
My Dear Brother and Sister, You need to repent of your wrong doings, your evil plans and evil attitude towards the workers of God, to avoid the wrath of God that is to fall upon you. Suppose you come across such people, who are instruments working against the workers of God, then you better convince them about the wrath of God that is to come upon them. By rising against the workers of God you are not destroying them but you are defaming the name of Lord Jesus Christ. The good news, the Lord wants to inform the workers of God is that, He is about to give you garment of praise instead of your shame. He will grant you double honour, He will give you fresh anointing, spiritual gifts, healing power, and power to drive out evil spirit and thus magnify you before those, who criticised you and put you to shame. And when you pray for them, the Lord will hear your prayer and perform miracles for them. As a result they will fall and you will stand erect. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord look upon those who have read this message, for one more time, and be gracious to them. Help them to stand erect before their enemies, their own relatives, creditors, who put them to shame before others. Cause their name to be great in the midst of all those who have put them to shame. Let them experience joy instead of sorrow.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of I Samuel 16:13 “ Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.”
From the above context we learn that our God, provides for the welfare of the people, just as God had previously provided His people, deliverance from Pharaoh; manna, heavenly food, water from the rock, and quails for meat, the law through Moses, in the wilderness; and a land flowing with milk and honey, God says to Samuel: “I have provided for myself a king among Jesse’s sons.” God’s guidance is usually not as discernable in the moment as it is in hindsight. We may not sense what God is doing in our midst or how God is leading us. Even the great prophet Samuel did not know what God was doing. Neither Saul nor David’s older brothers might have understood the way in which God was providing for Israel a good leadership.
Jesse brought each of his first seven sons before Samuel to see which son would be anointed as king. “But none of them were chosen either. There was one more son, but he was the youngest and of such little account that Jesse had left him out in the field tending the sheep. In the ancient times, the shepherd was a symbol of the king. When David was brought forth, the Lord said, to Samuel. “Rise and anoint him; for this is the one I have chosen to be the king of Israel.” Then Samuel took the horn of oil out of his pocket, which he brought along with him by the direction of God: and anointed him in the midst of his brethren; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward;
From this incident we realize that God is careful to honour, His people, whom others have humiliated, and put to shame. God honoured David, among his brothers. God made his name great. God exalted David, who was criticised and condemned by his own brothers, and raised him up as the king of Israel, in the midst of his brothers. David was insulted and considered very low because he tended his father’s sheep. His seven other brothers were all warriors in the battle field. Once his father asked him to take the food and grains and give them to his brothers in the battle field. Being very obedient he readily agreed to go and offer the food and grain to his brothers with goodwill. While his brothers were all eating David was standing there and watching at the people over there and observing what was going on there. But his brothers rebuked him saying, “What work have you here? Keep on going.”They didn’t like him standing in the battle field as he was only a shepherd boy and was fit to tend only sheep. They put him to shame before others. They disregarded him, so God wanted to honour David.
Just as God honoured David and made his name great before his brothers God wants to make your name great. Will you humble yourself, before God and your own family members? Will you be patient and endure troubles at your work spot? Are you willing to go an extra mile and humble yourself before your Boss or any people who may dislike you for the glory of God, and then God will grant you double honour. He will give you name and fame. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us through the character of David to be humble and patient. Teach us to be long suffering and tolerant even during trying times and never to be rude or boastful of our high position in life. Never to disrespect or disregard anyone have we come in contact. Let others see Christ in Us.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 12:5, “ For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, says the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffs at him.”
The psalmist begs help of God, because there were none among men whom he could trust. – This psalm furnishes good thoughts for bad times; a man may comfort himself with meditations and prayers. But what really makes the times bad? If we ask the children of this world, what makes the times bad? They will tell you, scarcity of money, decay of trade, and the desolations of war, make the times bad: but the Scripture says, the badness of the times shall come, when sin shall abound; and man will turn to wicked ways.
David says when piety decays times are really bad. When the poor and needy are oppressed, then the times are very bad. God himself takes notice of the oppression of the poor, and the sighing of the needy. When wickedness abounds, and is misused by those in authority, then the times are very bad. See we are here furnished for such bad times; and we cannot tell what times we may be reserved for. Firstly, we have a God to go to, from whom we may ask and tell all our grievances. Secondly, God will certainly punish and restrain false and proud men. Thirdly God will work deliverance for his oppressed people. His help is given in the fittest time.
Though men are false, God is faithful; though they are not to be trusted, God can be trusted always. The preciousness of God’s word is compared to silver refined to the highest degree. How many proofs have been given of its power and truth! God will secure his chosen people, however bad the times are. As long as the world stands, there will be a generation of proud and wicked men. But all God’s people are put into the hands of Christ our Saviour; there they are in safety, for none can pluck them thence; being built on Him, the Rock, they are safe, notwithstanding temptation or persecution might come their way .
For the oppression of the poor – indicates the wrong done to the poor – by the abuse of speech. On account of the slanders uttered against them, when they uttered words of “vanity” and “flattery”. When promises were made but, only to be broken, in such a state of things the “poor” are the most likely to suffer. In performing service for others – in daily labour on a farm or in a mechanical employment – they would depend on the promises made by their employers; and when their pay was withheld, they and their families suffer..God says, to such people I will set him in safety. I will make him safe. I will save him from the evils which they thought to bring upon him. God is the vindicator of the poor and the oppressed.”Rich people regard them as insignificant and worthless. But God assures to support the poor and needy. God will support you and your family if you happen to go through hard days in life. Are you oppressed by your Boss? Is the higher official causing trouble to you? Are you being subjected to criticism and ridicule? Look to God. He will lend a helping hand to you at times of such crisis. Just trust in God the Almighty. He will save you. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we pray for the strength and protection of the Lord. God, our heavenly Father, you know that we are set in the midst of so many great dangers, that by reason of the frailty of our nature we cannot always stand upright: Grant us such strength and protection, to support us in all danger, and carry us through all temptations; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah:61:7 “Instead of your shame you shall have double honour. And Instead of confusion, they shall rejoice in their portion. Everlasting joy shall be theirs.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we learn that God wants to bless His people. He wants to demonstrate His love, and kindness through His blessings bestowed upon His people. Jesus came that He might open up the blessing of God to those who believe. God said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus came that we might have a life, that is superabundant, and more than enough, a double portion of life. God is not stingy with His blessings, but He gives more than what is needed.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the good news is that God is going to give you double honour instead of your shame in the future. Are you prepared to receive it? Specifically in whatever area, of your life, you have gone through shame all these years, God is willing to give you double honour and magnify you. May be in the past years, you have been facing shame, because of your failures, in your life. You would have become a shameful person, before others, God is going to equalize all the failures you have gone through with a double portion of honour.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, your children would have brought you shame, because of their bad behaviour. But the same children, will in the future, earn good name, for you and for themselves, They will bring double portion of honour in their life, by studying well or working well in their office and earning reputation. They will bring name and fame for their parents. So do not worry God will change all your situation, for the good of your family.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the past the creditors might have spoken very shamefully, because you had not returned the money you had borrowed from them on time. And therefore they have put you down before others. But in future the same people from whom you borrowed money are going to speak highly about you. and God is going to make you lend to others and not allow you to borrow from others.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, may be in the past, since you did not have the gift of children, many would have spoken ill of you. and you would have been put to shame. and this would have caused pain to you. But in future the same people who put you to shame, before others, and had disregarded you, will come forward, to honour you and you shall receive double honour instead of your shame. Thus whatever evil you gone through in the past, and have experienced such shame, and humiliation, before others, will all be turned for the good of your life.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, But to achieve double portion of honour, name and fame, you need to do walk in the ways of the Lord. Your life must be pleasing unto God. You need to obey His commandments and pray to the Lord to teach you, as to how you should carry your life in this sinful world. The Psalmist says, “Lord teach me to do things that are pleasing unto you.”Ask God to lead you each day of your life. Then God will teach you and instruct you in the way you should go. He will guide you with His eyes and direct your steps. Are you willing to walk in the ways of God? No matter what befalls you, will you still follow Him without murmuring, then God will make your name great and exalt you before others. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for teaching us through this message that you came down to give us life, and that we may have it more abundantly. You came that we might have a life, that is superabundant, and more than enough, a double portion of life. To receive name and fame teach us to follow you faithfully and diligently.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
