God Remembered Israel.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed  word  that God has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Psalm 90: 5 “Oh Satisfy us in the morning, with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make  us  glad for as many  days, as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.”

My Dear Brother and Sister, from the above context we learn that Moses intercedes on behalf of the people of Israel.  This  Psalm opens with Moses addressing the eternal God,  and  he  acknowledges  man’s brief life on earth. In most cases, he  says, a person can   live somewhere around 70 or 80 years.   Short or long, life is full of toil and trouble. Therefore  Moses asks the Lord to fill His people with wisdom.  He also asks the Lord to reveal His work, demonstrate His power, grant His favour,   and make the labour of  the people  successful.  As they had suffered under the hands of the Egyptian Taskmasters,  as slaves. He asks God to remove the darkness and help them see the morning,  with His unfailing love, that they  may sing for joy and be glad all their  days. He  begs God   to make His people glad, who followed him faithfully to the land flowing with milk and honey.   Since  they  had  endured  untold  miseries  in the hands of the Egyptians.

My Dear Brother and Sister,  This is a psalm that Moses offered to the Lord as  a prayer. In this verse, Moses emphasises his desire  to the Lord regarding the people of Israel. He wanted the people,  to enjoy   freedom  in the land   of Canaan.  as they  had lived a cruel life in the land of Egypt.  They were tortured severely by them. The Bible tells  that   they were  so burdened and hence  they cried out to the Lord. God heard their cry and sent  Moses  to  deliver them from the hand of Pharaoh,  and to lead them to the Land of Canaan.   Moses actually pleads  to the Lord on their behalf to help the people of Israel  see better days.  Moses desired that God would bring an end to all their tribulation,  for they were in bondage  for nearly 430 years.

My Dear  Brother and Sister,  God spoke to Moses out of a burning bush—of the suffering of the Jewish people in Egypt. God said,  that He sees, hears, and knows of the plight of Israel. God clearly states that He has “seen” the suffering of those His people.”and , has “heard” their cry. This cry was due to the harshness of their taskmasters Moses knew this situation all too well, because forty years earlier he had been in  Egypt. The afflictions of the Hebrews were known to the Lord. He had heard their cry and wanted  to deliver them from the Egyptians. God planned to bring the Israelites out of Egypt into a new land, where God would provide for their needs.

My dear Brother and Sister, you too might have been crying out to the Lord for several years, regarding your problems. Till today you might have been going through financial crisis, debts, sickness and problems because  of your disobedient children.  Neighbours may be causing unnecessary trouble to you.  The Lord is saying that He is going to put an end, to all your problems. The Lord will not only cause a breakthrough in your financial status and clear all your debts.  But will quieten your neighbours from troubling you. From today, you are going to be glad all the days of your life. The Lord is going to satisfy you with His abundant mercies,  that will cause you to rejoice in the Lord.  He will wipe away all the tears from your eyes.  For God has seen and heard your cry over a long period of time. He wants to deliver you from all your problems as He delivered the people of Israel. God will provide a  Government job for your son,  and make you glad. He will settle your daughter  who had been waiting long for a suitable partner. God will turn  all  your sorrow into joy at the end of your struggle. For our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly   above all that we ask , think or pray.  God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving Heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day.  Lord you have seen our  troubles and pain which we  have endured all these years. Lord fill us  with your abundant mercies and new  grace every morning and satisfy us  with gladness all the days, of our   lives. Lord let the days of disaster come to an end in our  life and bless us  to see greater days in life. Shower your unfailing love upon us.

In Jesus name we pray.

 Amen.

Strength of the Lord

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of 2 Corinthians 12:9, “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me”.

The bible says that, there was a thorn in the life of Apostle Paul. That thorn was a great hindrance to him. Paul prayed three times to the Lord asking to deliver him from the thorn that was being a hindrance in his life. The Lord replied saying “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness”. Then Apostle Paul replied “Now I will boast in my infirmities. As a result of this infirmity, the power of Christ is resting upon me.”

The bible tells us of a man named Baalam. God took Baalam to the top of a mountain to bless the people of Israel. He proclaimed many words of blessings over the people. The most important blessing of all was the blessing of the strength of the unicorn. Caleb, was one of the Israelites who received this blessing (strength of the unicorn). He says that, he felt the same strength in his body at the age of 85 that he had at the age 40.

My dearly beloved, do you feel weak in your body? The Lord says that He is going to strengthen you with the strength like that of a unicorn. God is going to bless you with a healthy life. The Lord wants to bestow to you good strength. As you read this passage, all the weakness in your body is going to leave you. The bible says, at the age of 120, the eye sight of Moses neither dimmed nor wore out. God wants to give the same strength in your life. When the strength of the Lord comes upon you, the spirit that causes weakness will leave your body. God will give you a double portion of strength in your body. Christ died on the cross for all your sickness, sins and your sufferings. Pray and ask the Lord to deliver you from all your sickness and the Lord will bless you with His strength.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We know that You have died on the cross for all our sins and sufferings. I pray that You may deliver Your children from all their sufferings and bless them with Your strength. Father, may they rejoice in Your strength and may the say that Your strength is made perfect in all their weakness. Lord, may You Bless Your dear children. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

God Remembers The Needy

My Dear Brother and Sister, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed  word  that God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Psalm 9:18 says,” For the needy shall not always be forgotten;  The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. ” From this context we learn that the Lord considers the poor and the needy.   In this Psalm David speaks about the poor state of the down trodden. He  reminds us that we should have regard for the poor and never despise them.  David considered himself as poor and despised. That’s why he says, “ I am  Poor and Needy   yet the Lord thinks upon me.”  David acknowledged the judgements of God regarding the   wicked who  threatened his people. And  he  praised God  for the  past acts of deliverance when evil men plotted his own downfall and destruction.

My Dear Brother and Sister,  David always had a soft corner for the poor. Even  Solomon  in His Proverbs. says, “Do not rob the poor because he is poor, nor oppress the afflicted at the gate; For the Lord will plead their cause, and plunder the soul of those who plunder them.”Many times people take advantage of the poor simply because they can. The poor have less access to resources, knowledge, and information about how things are supposed to work. Consequently, that information deficiency   create opportunities for those in the higher level to exploit the poor for money or whatever else they need. Needless to say, God does not look kindly on those who do this.

My Dear Brother and Sister, The  Psalmist  comforts those who maintain their trust in God’s word and honour His holy name.  He says,  “the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever”.    Our heavenly Father will never forget those that remember Him. He will never abandon those that trust His word and honour His name. The Bible says, whoever considers the poor honours God. We need to make provision for the poor  and needy. God Himself admonished the people of  Israel  to consider the poor,   by saying, “Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

My Dear Brother and Sister, God says,  “ There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be open  handed toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.”Apostle Paul reminds us, by saying “God loves a cheerful giver” God didn’t want the Israelites to simply give generously to the poor; He wanted them to do so with grateful hearts. This command came with a promise. If they were unselfish and kind, God would bless them. David also emphasises  the same thought,  “Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord,  delivers him in times of trouble. The Lord,  will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes. The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.   God always loves a cheerful giver who helps the poor  with whatever they have. He   encourages us to give generously. For helping the poor  would appear   to bring  a blessing to those who do it.

My Dear Brother and Sister,  Many of you who are reading this message may be going through various troubles. Some of you are caught up with debts. Some may suffer from certain disease.    Some are constantly in pain, owing to their children’s bad conduct. And because of this, you have suffered shame   and   humiliation    among    your people.  We live in a world where we will always suffer trials and tribulation, but the Psalmist offers hope for all who trust in the Lord. Even though there may be  times when we feel forgotten or afflicted. We are God’s children and have His assurance that we are secure in His hand.  If in these circumstances , you have been kind and generous towards the poor  then  God will remember   your good deeds and thus rescue you  from your debts and will also bring healing to our body and will also help your children who were once bad, to become good citizens. So that we may grow in grace and become mature and complete in Christ – lacking nothing.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord  thank You that Your eyes are not closed to the difficulties and problems we are  facing. Thank You that the needy will not always be forgotten, but that You have prepared something better for those that love and trust You. Thank You,   for all Your goodness and grace towards us. and for protecting  and delivering us,  from those who sought our  harm.  May   we never forget the grace that has been extended to us  and remember that nothing can separate   us  from Your love.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

You will be rewarded

Dearly Beloved,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Jeremiah 31:16, “Thus says the LORD: “Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; For your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD, And they shall come back from the land of the enemy.”

From the above context we understand about what God says, to Rachel who had the impact of a Jewish Mother. Actually in the above passage   Prophet Jeremiah tells or speaks, about the nation of Israel, being taken into exile, and a voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel was the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, who became two of twelve tribes of Israel.  So when Israel went into exile, she cried for her children, she refused to be comforted, for her children who were absent.

Rachel’s work had been that of bearing and bringing up children, and by their death she was deprived of the joy for which she had laboured: Hence   the Lord, says to the Mother of Israel, “Refrain your voice from weeping, and   your eyes from tears, because, though sorrow on such an occasion may be lawfully right, yet it ought to be controlled,   and attention should be given to those things which may serve to be of more importance and when the direction comes from the Lord himself; then you need to stop mourning, and wipe your wet eyes.   For your   work shall be rewarded, says   the Lord; in bearing  your  children, and bringing them into the world, and expressing such an affectionate and tender concern for them; taking  the trouble of bearing and bringing them into the world, and nursing them  until  the time they did live. You should not consider this as fruitless, or meaningless, instead you should   see the future of it. You should realize that   all this was not in vain, but be assured that   your hard labour will be rewarded.

Many of you, who are reading this message, especially sisters, are crying for your children. You have done a good work in bearing your children, and bringing them into the world, and expressing such an affectionate and tender concern for them. It is certain that you have taken great pains in rearing your children, educating them, caring and attending to them when ever, they were in need of your help, And securing them with a good job, and even you might have settled them in marriage, You should not consider this as fruitless, or meaningless, instead you should   see the future of it. You should realize that   all this was done not in vain, but be assured that your hard labour will be rewarded. Your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited. Your sons may be as plants grown up in their youth, and your daughters may be as pillars sculptured in palace style. Your Children will rise up and shall call you blessed. May the Lord bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for revealing the motherly nature of Rachel. Teach us also to weep and pray for the welfare of our children. May we learn from her to bear with   our children   in times of affliction. Never to hurt their feelings but handle them gently and without any inhibition   or partiality.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God Gives Wisdom

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The   blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Ecclesiastes 2:26, “For God Gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight.”

From the above context we learn that  God gives to a man that is good in his sight, wisdom,  knowledge and joy. No man is good, or naturally so, but evil, very evil, as all the descendants of Adam are. There are some that are good in their own eyes, and in the sight of others, and yet not truly good. Some are  really good, in the sight of God, who  watches  their  heart, and knows what is in man; who are both  inwardly, and outwardly good at heart, or who have clean hearts, new and right spirits created in them; who have a good work of grace upon their hearts, who have the good Spirit of God in them, in whose heart Christ dwells by faith; and who have the good word of Christ dwelling in them,  and who, in one word, are born again, renewed in the spirit of their minds, and live by faith on Jesus Christ.  God gives to those who are truly good; pleasure, riches, power, and authority: “to the man, whose works are right before God, he gives wisdom and knowledge in this world, and joy with the righteous in the world to come;”

Are you suffering because your children don’t fare   well in their studies or in their career because of lack of wisdom. You are worried as they have lost their future because of poor wisdom, and understanding.  They are not very brilliant or intelligent. But God is uprooting every force of mental illness in your children, and setting them free from the evil spirit that has taken hold of them. That is the reason they have gone down in to depression. Some children are caught up in darkness because of taking sleeping pills, and drugs. As a result they tend to be lazy and sickly and are never smart or active.  God is delivering such children from depression and is giving them a ray of hope. He will bring them out of darkness and will set them into the marvellous Light. That they may enjoy the goodness that God has bestowed upon them like other smart children.

God is going to deliver all those children who are bound by chains, because of mental disorder. Just as God delivered the Legion, who was bound by unclean spirit, and often hurt himself, God is going to liberate your children too.  Some children do not sleep well at night. They suffer from some mental disturbance, hence they keep moving about in the room without sleeping. At times they will even keep talking to themselves. And their behaviour might cause panic to you parents. As a result you are deeply distressed because of your children. You are thinking in your mind, when all this will come to an end. When will my children live happily, when will I see any progress in their life? The Bible says, “If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally, and without reproach and it will be given to him.”

Some children suddenly wake up at night screaming loudly because of fear or due to bad dreams. Such children will calm down and sleep well because God is about to deliver them right now. God sees your broken heart and adheres to your cry. Some youngsters feel they are unable to satisfy the expectation of their employers because of their poor knowledge and wisdom. Some cry over their failures, as they end up in negative thoughts. They think they will always remain as failures and will never be successful in their life. But God is placing positive attitude in their mind today itself, that they may regain stability in life. God will help them to work well with sharp wisdom and good understanding that they will excel more than their expectation. And those officials who put them to shame at work spot will applaud them and make their name great before their co workers. God will bless them with name and fame.  And they shall be successful in all the works of their hand.  God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank You Lord for your care and concern   over our children.  Lord we pray that  You  will heal them of their depression and rescue them from the darkness into which they seem to be immersed. Bring them to light and help them to see better days in life.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
