God’s Children

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Mark 10: 13, 16,  “And they brought young children to Him that He might touch them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. When Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them for of such is the kingdom of God. “And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them.”

While Jesus lived in  this world, 2000 years ago, the  people were bringing little children to Jesus, for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. For children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward, from Him. That is why God said, “Whoever receives one such child, in My name, receives Me, and whoever receives Me, receives not only Me,   but also Him who sent Me.

The parents wanted Jesus to touch their little children and thereby place God’s blessing upon them. They recognized that Jesus came from God and that His touch brought healing and blessing from God. Apparently the disciples thought that the little children were insignificant and that Jesus had more important things to do than spend His time laying His hands on little children. It was the disciples’ common practice to try to send people away rather than be bothered with their problems and seek to minister to them. But when Jesus saw this, he was moved with indignation and said to them, allow the little children to come to me; and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  When He saw what His disciples were doing, He was angry and offended by the action of His disciples because they were giving the people the false impression that Jesus had no time for insignificant people like little children and His ministry did not include them.

We may hinder our children from coming to Christ by living a hypocritical life—speaking like a Christian but living like the world. Another way in which we might hinder our children from coming to Christ is by failing to show them the love and mercy of the Lord Jesus, that He is compassionate and forgiving and willing to restore us when we confess our sins and return to Him.   By asking the disciples to allow the little children to come to Him,  Jesus meant  that in order to enter the kingdom of God a person must have the trust and dependence that is characteristic of a little child—a trust and dependence upon Christ. Jesus is not referring to some supposed innocence of a child, for we are all born in sin and need the forgiveness which only Jesus can give.

Our God is a loving God. And He loves little children.   So He allowed the little children to come unto him   and he carried them and He also touched them and even blessed them. Today God is going to touch and bless you and your children. When the Lord touches you there will be a great change in you.  God will bring a great deliverance in you. 2000  years  ago  God anointed  Jesus,  of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit, and with the power, Jesus went about doing good and healed  all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. People brought their children with the hope that if Jesus touched their children they would have a bright future. Jesus gathered those children who were brought to Him and touched and blessed them. Today God is going to place his hands upon your children and bless them.  He will heal them of their sickness.  He will bless them in their education. He will help them with wisdom and good understanding. They will grow to be better citizen. Then all your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children. Therefore do not hinder your children from coming to the Lord.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly  Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank You because you touch and bless our children. Help them and guide them in their daily life. We surrender our children into  Your hands. We praise you because You watch over our  children  at all times,  especially when our  children  go through tough times.  Remove all fear from them.  May they realize  the   importance  of  their  life  and walk diligently.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

The Victory

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Esther 9:1, “Now in the twelfth month, that is the month of Adar, On the thirteenth day, The time came for the kings command. And his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.”
From the above context we realize that King Ahasarus ruled over 127 countries, He was a powerful ruler. He ruled from India, to Ethiopia. Many different kinds of people lived in these nations. And the Jews were spread across these 127 nations. The ruling government then issued an order, saying that on a particular day, at this particular time, the law will be implemented.

Similarly a law was passed stating that all the Jews should be killed in the twelfth month Adar, on the thirteenth day. All the Jews sat mourning over the decree about the death sentence passed against them. They trembled to hear the decree about the death. They were filled with fear, and anguish. All the Jews in these nations gathered together. There is only one opportunity to change or alter this situation. They knew that only God could bring about the change. So they fasted three days, and prayed earnestly for the king to change the law.

The Kings commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution that on the thirteenth day, of the twelfth month all the Jews should be killed. Great expectation there was, no doubt, of this day and the issue of it. The Jews cause was to be tried, by the court of Shushan and the day was fixed for the combat by the authority. Their enemies resolved not to lose the opportunity given to them. They were with much hope to overpower the Jews.

On the other hand, the Jews relied on the goodness of their God and justice, of their cause and resolved to make their utmost efforts against their enemies. Queen Esther boldly entered into the presence of the king and requested the king to change the law in favour of her people. The King was prepared to do anything for her so he altered the law in favour of the Jews at the last minute. Finally the day came, and we learn that it was a day, of great victory and triumph to the Jews both in the city of Sushan and in all provinces.

The day which was selected by Haman with great industry and art as the luckiest day, turned out to be the unluckiest day, for Haman. The people of Sushan who were drenched in fear, began to rejoice at the verdict passed by the king. In the same way God can bring about a great change in your life too. Whatever problem you may be going through, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think or pray. Our God can change the very situation of your life in your favour and just the opposite will occur. It is an easy thing for the Lord to do. So don’t be afraid. Trust in Jesus. He will set you free from every bondage.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you for hearing the cry of the Jews and answering their prayer. Thank you for helping queen Esther to be bold and enter into the presence of king Ahasarus and intercede on behalf of her people and thus change the very course of the history of the Jews. Thank you for turning their sorrow into joy. Likewise turn our sorrow into joy.

In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

NO MORE TEARS

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Revelation 21:4, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

He is a God who wipes our tears. He   wants us to live a happy and comfortable life.  He does not want us to suffer and weep over our problems. But because of our own mistakes or because of our sinful nature we get entangled into some kind of captivity. Yet, God due to His love and mercy wants to set us free from all our struggles and wipe our tears. He even gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  God strengthens us when we are weak. He loves you and He cares for you. So trust in Him for every need of yours. Because the Lord will give what is good.

The Lord says, weeping, shall endure for a night – and the tear-drops,  that have dampened our pillows will one day be wiped away. God Himself will dry every tear, for He enters into every searing pain and each aching heart. Not one secret   sigh that crosses our minds, nor one stabbing pain that cuts deep into our hurting heart is missed by our gracious God of love, for He is our great God of comfort and Lord of  life .We live in a fallen world and none  of us  can escape  from the difficulties and tragedies that stalk the path of every person  that is born into this fallen race. But through this beautiful truth, God is giving us a tiny   glimpse  about the new  heaven, and  a  new earth,  that is to be   established by God.

The day is coming when the Lord Himself, will live with men – and they will be His people and He will be their God. This will be a day when all wrongs are set   right. Joy will replace sorrow, and God Himself will dry every teardrop. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will no longer be any death. There will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things would   have passed away.” The Lord knows the deepest pain that breaks   the heart of His people and in Psalms  we   read, that “The Lord puts all our tears into His bottle.” He treasures the tears that His people shed in this world, for they witness many evils and have to endure much persecution and pain for the sake of Christ. But the tears of His people are precious to the Lord, for they are sharing in Christ’s suffering and pain.

Jesus was despised and rejected when He came to earth and gave Himself up,  as the sacrifice for our sin. He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with the same grief and agony that we often have to undergo. But He also faced the agony of the cross on our account, to gain the victory over sin and satan, death and hell. What a blessed truth,  that a day is coming where every tear will be dried by our precious Saviour, because of His sacrifice. “And there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain – for we will reign with Jesus on this earth. Because of His sacrifice, there will be no weeping in heaven,  death and destruction will be swallowed up in victory  by his resurrection.  We will  be  able to rise up into newness of life, where pain and sorrow will flee away,  what a wonderful day that would be. Many who are reading this message are unaware of this truth that one day we  will be along with Jesus in Heaven.

Many of you reading this message are caught up in   some kind of captivity.  You feel so disheartened because, though married for several years, you have not been blessed with a child. Some do not have a stable business. If you take one step forward, you fall behind ten steps back ward. You have no one to lift you up in your business either financially or through man   power or  give  you  moral   support. Some  suffer  because  of  their children, who  do not do very well in their studies.   Rather they have grown disobedient and they are more focused in gadgets like mobile, internet, chatting, playing video games and listening to their peer   groups instead of being dutiful, to their parents. In fact they have become a nuisance to their parents. Some parents think “ why  did I ever have such a son or daughter who cause disgrace to the family.

A  day is already set, for  God  to  wipe away all your tears. But never forget that in this world of sickness and sin, hardship and pain you have a Saviour, who understands your sorrow, pain and agony. Never forget that you  have God’s indwelling Spirit of comfort, Who is with you   every moment you  shed tears. Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free so He understands,  He knows, He loves, and He cares, for each one of us, so draw closer to His arms of comfort, and trust in His love today, for a day is coming where there will no longer be any mourning, crying, or pain. You may not understand why you have to endure some of the things in life that cause such heart-ache and pain. He is our present help in trouble today, and tomorrow He will wipe away the tears from all of our eyes.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Father we know that You hold our future, and so we entrust our life into Your hands  today. We know that You are with us in every trial, and pain we are facing. We really don’t know why we go through such sufferings but we  trust  in  Your loving kindness,  and tender mercies, which are new every morning. And your faithfulness towards us is so great.

In Jesus’ name we  pray,

Amen.

GOD’S FAVOUR

I greet and bless each one of you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 46:11, “Calling a bird of prey, from the east the man who executes My counsel, from a far country.  Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it. I will also do it.”

From the above context we learn that Balaam was called by  Balak  the king of Moab, to curse Israel.  But God changed his mind against   Balak and instead of cursing the people He blessed them. No one could ever stand against the Israelites as   they were considered precious in His sight.

God is sending someone from a far off country to bring you good news, or do something good in your life. God wants to speak to you through this message. God is actually sending someone from a far away country to fulfill what God has purposed in his heart regarding you. He is sending someone to show favor to you. You might be wondering what that stranger is about to do for you or what good news he is going to bring for you. But you can be assured, that something good is going to happen for you.

May be you might be getting a good job through him. Or you might be getting a good proposal through him, for your son or daughter. Or through that person, you might get a favorable   judgment. God says, He is sending someone, who would fulfill His counsel.  God is sending a person who would   implement what He has purposed in His heart regarding you. That person is coming to fulfill God’s commandment, in your life.

He might be an angel or God himself in the   disguise of man. In this regard I shall quote certain incidents from the scripture. Balaam climbed to the top of the mountain and from there he saw the people of Israel spread all over scattered according to their tribes.  They dwelt in tents. God instructs Balaam to go there and not to curse the people but to bless them. This was the commandment of God to Balaam. So he looks at the people and said, “I have come with the commandment of God to bless you.” God had sent him purposely to bless Israel. And after receiving the blessing of God, it was easy for the people to move steadily to the good and large land, to a   land flowing with milk and honey, without any difficulty.

Similarly God will send someone to bless you. They will come to you with the commandment of God to implement His counsel. God sent Ananias to help Saul regain his lost sight. So according to God’s commandment he went and touched his eyes and immediately his eyes were opened. Tabitha  called  Dorcas, learned from Jesus, a giving way of life.  She helped others with what she had. She was known for her   acts of  charity. The little servant girl in Naaman’s house helped her Master to receive healing through the prophet Elisha. She was an angel in disguise. Jacob was returning to His father’s land Canaan. But while he was at the ford of Jabbok, he was left alone. And there a man wrestled with him,  Jacob realized that he had wrestled with God. God met Jacob in the form of man  and transformed him.

Thus we see God used several people to help others in the scripture. Likewise God will send someone to help and bless you. To save you from being caught, in some trouble   or disaster, God is sending someone, who will implement his commandment,   as He had purposed in His heart to rescue you from the oncoming danger and thus bless you. God is concerned about you. So He will never forget you or forsake you.

Prayer:  Our Loving Heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord we are glad to know through this message that you send someone from afar   to help us in times of need. We thank you for your kindness. Help us never to doubt Your kindness in any form and accept it when necessary. Teach us to recognize your help, when You send it through someone. And help us to be grateful to you.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.

Seek God and Live

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Amos 5:4 “For thus says, the Lord to the House of Israel, “Seek Me and Live.”

From the above context we learn through Amos the prophet of God, who emphasises the people of Israel to “seek God.” For Amos, “to seek God” means seeking good, doing justice and rightness, worshiping God in the right way, and seeking the word of the Lord. Then they would receive the assurance which God had promised to Israel, that “They would live” and prosper. The Word of God, “Seek ye Me and ye shall live” – describes the Wonderful conciseness of the prophet who speaks about, man’s duty and his reward. To seek God is to live. For to seek God is to find Him, and God is Life and the Source of life. But the seeking is diligent seeking.

“Seek Me,” that is, seek God for Himself, not for anything out of Him and not for His gifts, not just to obtain something from Him for this is not seeking Him purely. All is found in Him, but by seeking Him first, and then loving Him in all,” You shall live,” God will help you by prolonging your life, then He will help you to escape from your enemy; then give you the grace to live a better life. As the Psalmist, says, in his psalms, “your heart shall live who seek God” Amen.

Amos prophesied, during the period of the reign of Jeroboam II, which was a period of great prosperity and of great corruption. Amos, was accustomed to the simple life of a shepherd. He was provoked to anger at the signs of misused wealth and selfish luxury that he saw everywhere. Amos’s first call to Israel is but the echo of God’s call to men, always and everywhere. All circumstances, all inward experiences, joy and sorrow, prosperity and disaster, our longings and our fears, they all cry aloud to us to seek His face. Amos’s promise is true still, to those who seek God. There is no surer way of promoting true well-being than seeking God. ‘The fundamental principle of Amos’s teaching is an eternal truth, that to seek God is to find Him, and to find Him is life.

Having read this message I am sure that God has touched, you through His word and that you might seek him, and not postpone. Today is the day of salvation. Today is the accepted time. “Today, if only you would hear God’s voice, and do not harden your hearts.” Then you will be blessed. Then you will shine both in your spiritual and material life. Therefore Seek God and Live. When you seek God you shall be blessed. You will prosper in all walks of your life. Be it in your education or in your business, or in your family life or in the life of your children you will find the mercy of God. I pray God grant you the wisdom to Seek God above all things in life. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for telling us through this message that we need to seek God above all things in life. Teach us to refrain ourselves from all worldly life and Seek His face. Strengthen us in the Lord. May we give up all that is ungodly and live according to the commandments of God and the instruction of prophet Amos to the people of Israel.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
