BE HUMBLE

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of  1 Peter 5:5  , All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God resists the proud.  But gives grace to the humble.”

From the above passage we come to understand that Apostle Peter was  giving wise instruction both to the church elders as well as to those that were  younger in age. He calls all believers to clothe themselves with humility towards one another – explaining that God resists those that are proud but gives grace to those that are humble in action and attitude. Peter had learned,  what it means to suffer for Christ;  and  how necessary  it was to  resist the devil.   Peter had also learnt through experience the need for humility of heart and meekness of spirit and so he calls both elders and young men to cloth themselves with humility towards one another – because God resists the proud  but gives grace to the humble.  May we be self-controlled, willing to serve and gentle in spirit. And may we also humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God – so that He may lift us up in due time.

Humbleness is a quality of being modest.True humbleness is characterized by humility.   As children of God you need to put on the garment of royal majesty. You should possess the quality to reign   because you are children of  God ,  The king of kings and Lord of Lords. Your humbleness does not remain in your dressing or apparels but in maintaining dignity and honour. You should behave modestly wherever you go, because you are representative or ambassador of Christ. Our God who is Holy, and dwells in the high and holy place,   has a contrite and humble spirit.

We read about Mordecai in the Bible . He  was a humble Jew. He lived in Sushan. He adopted his cousin Esther an orphan,  and looked after her as his own daughter in spite of the kings decree that all should prostrate themselves before Haman who was a Vizier( A higher official) in the Persian empire. Mordecai refused to bow before him. So Haman hated Mordecai.   He looked for a way to destroy  Mordecai   and his  people.  Since  Haman was a favoured minister of king  Ahasuerus, he misused his power and according  to his plan the king commanded that all the Jews be put to death. Esther who became the  queen of Sushan, interceded for her people.  At one point of time Mordecai sat within the king’s palace gate. He was mocked by Haman. Haman was a proud man and expected everyone to bow down before him.  But   Mordecai, being a Jew refused to bow down before him. Therefore Haman was filled with wrath when Mordecai refused to bow down to him.

The Lord honoured Mordecai, who sat at the front gate with sack cloth and ashes and mourned for the Jews, with fasting and wailing. Haman planned to honour himself, by suppressing Mordecai and his people. He cunningly set up gallows to hang Mordecai as revenge.  But God who looked at the heart  of Mordecai, changed the situation in  favour of him. On the day when the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them the opposite occurred. As  a  result the Jews  themselves over powered those who hated them. The fear of the Jews,  fell upon  the people  of the city of Shushan.  Mordecai became great in the kings palace. And his fame spread throughout all the provinces. The king honoured Mordecai for his good act of  saving the king’s life  from death.  But Haman was hanged in the very gallows he had made for Mordecai.  God expects His children to humble themselves. This incident from the Bible goes to prove that the humble will be exalted and the proud will be punished. Therefore humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You for teaching us that we need to be humble in character.   Heavenly Father help us to be self controlled,  willing to serve, gentle in spirit and humble of heart. Teach us to consider the elders and also   the younger brothers in our church.  Let us never be proud, or take revenge against   any one. Teach us to be kind, gentle and help us, forgive one another.

 In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

NEW OPPORTUNITIES

Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord with tears, the word that the Lord gave me to bless you is from the book of Psalms 107:35-37 ‘He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs; there he brought the hungry to live, and they founded a city where they could settle. They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest;’

Our God is a God who can turn the wilderness into a pool of water. For all the dryness that you have gone through in the past, God is about to spring forth water in your life. The Lord is going to create new opportunities in your life. He is willing to give you a great financial breakthrough. God is going to change all the losses in your life and give you a great profit. God will give the authority to those who are thirsty to dwell in that land.

Today the Lord is speaking prophetically to you. He says that He is going to break all the hindrance that is causing you not to get your citizenship in the foreign land. You may be asking the Lord as to why the progress is still pending. The Lord says that His time has not come yet. When you do according to the will and instruction of God, He will make all things pass. The only thing that God expects from us is obedience. Do not be worried my dear children. The Lord will supply all your needs.

God Bless You

Prayer:

Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children with great Springs of water in their dry land. Father, help them to be prosperous all that they do. In Jesus Name we pray,

Amen.

You shall be built

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 44:26, “Who confirms the word of His servants, and performs the counsel of His messengers. Who says, to Jerusalem, “You shall be inhabited. To the cities of Judah, You shall be built.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we learn that God confirms the word of His servants or his prophets which He had foretold to them. And He also performs the counsel of His messengers. We find that the work of redemption wrought for us by Christ encourages to hope for all blessings from Him. Our transgressions and our sins are as thick cloud between heaven and earth. Sin separate us from God. They threaten a storm of wrath. When God pardons our sin He blots out. He dispels this cloud of sin from us so that the way to heaven is open again.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Do not be discouraged. Let not Israel be disheartened for nothing is too hard for God. Those that learn to know Christ, see all other knowledge to be foolishness in comparison with the knowledge of God. Thus the prophesies of the scripture confirm the truth about the redemption of Christ, to His servants.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, as a prophet of God and His messenger I pray that God will rebuild you again. Just as Jerusalem was in ruins, and God wanted it to be again inhabited, and just as the cities of Judah were to be rebuilt, God wants to rebuild your life. When the Bible says, “You shall be built again” that means, you are in a fallen state of life. Some of the areas of your life has been broken or has been ruined. When our life is injured due to some reason then we are hurt much, because it causes severe pain in our heart.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the pain caused in the heart because of the ruined state of life is greater than the physical pain caused due to some injury in our body. The more one suffers from mental pain he goes through depression. Sometimes he is pushed into suicidal thoughts which instigate him to even commit suicide. Some end up with mental sickness due to failures and struggles they go through in their family life or because their life has been broken apart. They even go through severe mental disease that leads to great trauma in life. They are altogether in despair and hopelessness.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, are you in despair? Have you lost all hope in life? Do you think that there is no remedy for the damage caused in your life? Well the Lord of Israel confirms that there is a future ahead of you when you fix your eyes on the Lord Jesus. Learn more of Him. He will open new doors for a bright future for you. He is ever mindful of you. Only He can solve your problem and comfort you of your pain, struggle and the trauma that you are going through in your life. For He will neither forget you nor forsake you. Cast your cares upon Him and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Your heavenly Father knows what you are in need of. God says, “Come unto Me all you who labour and are heavy laden. And I will give you rest.”Only Jesus can give you complete rest. Surrender your life to Him. He will give you peace that passes all understanding. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we remain grateful to you for having pardoned us of our guilt and sins. Teach us to learn more about You. Repair the damages caused in our life due to various reasons. Help us to fix our eyes on You Lord. Make every possible way to rebuild our lives so that we will not be a burden to others rather depend on you for our sustenance.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

God’s Defense

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 17:8,9 , “Keep me as the apple of Your eye, Hide Me under the Shadow of Your Wings.”From the wicked who oppress, from the deadly enemies who surround me.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that David being compassed with enemies prays to God the Father, in this Psalm, to keep him in safety. David cried out to God, asking God to preserve him, guard him, and defend him, as one who would protect that which is most precious and valuable to him. He says, “Lord keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings.” This is in comparison to birds, or fowls, that protect their young ones by gathering them, under their wings. It is probable that the Psalmist had this passage in his mind, where it says, “’He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of his eye, as an eagle, stirreth up her nest, flutters over her young , spreads, abroad her wings, So the Lord led him in the wilderness.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the Life of David, there was a huge time of oppression. Even though he was anointed to be the king of Israel, by Prophet Solomon, yet he could not enjoy the kingship that was granted to him. He was rather chased by his own uncle king Saul, who wandered everywhere to kill David. He was jealous of him because he was victorious over Goliath the Philistine giant who came against the Israelites. Saul was all the time planning as to how he might kill him. On the other hand, his own son, Absalom was awaiting opportunities to kill his father David, in order to usurp the throne after the death of his father. His wife Michal, listening to her father, King Saul, despised David and went to live with another man named Palti. Thus his entire family was against him. And now, David was in great distress. He was over whelmed with sorrow.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, David did not have any security for his life. He was afraid that his son Absalom would kill him any time. So in order to save his life he hid himself in the foothills, and caves. There are numerous Psalms written by him about his lamenting over his fear of death and his sorrowful state of life. And Psalm seventeen is one among them, focusing from the beginning till the end, about the sorrow over his death, and his family problems. He cries out in this Psalm to the Lord, as a prayer, asking God to help him overcome this fear of death and asks God to protect him. Once, when he fled from King Saul, to the caves, he cried out to the Lord in fear, saying, “Lord be merciful to me, for my soul trusts, in You, And in the shadow of your wings, I will make my refuge. Until these calamities, have passed by.” Later he says, “’Lord I will abide in Your Tabernacle, forever. I will trust in the Shelter of your wings. Lord because You have been my help, therefore I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.”
David was surrounded with foes from all corners. There were many wicked and cruel men who oppressed him. And he was surrounded with several enemies who were so bitter to him in spite of his goodness. So he says, “’Lord protect me and keep me as the apple of Your eye. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings.” He sought for God’s hand of protection. He knew well that he could rely upon the eternal God for his refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will thrust out all his enemies, from before him, and he shall dwell in safety. And one day all his enemies will submit to him and he shall tread down their high places.
Are you afraid of your enemies? Is someone chasing you for no reason? Have you been surrounded by unwanted and wicked foes? It may be your own relatives, creditors, one of your own siblings who is troubling you, your own nephew, or niece? Don’t be afraid, of the trouble, from the wicked when it comes. Whoever it may be, put your trust in Jesus, He will cause your enemies to surrender at your feet. Like David, Remain under the shadow of His Mighty wings. He will protect you and keep you secure. No one can pluck you out from His Hands. He will keep you as the apple of His eye. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Thank You for reminding us about the miserable life of David, through this passage. And because He trusted in God he was safe. Help us to put our confidence in God and not on worldly things. Make us to understand that even though we are surrounded by our enemies. Teach us to believe that God will protect us. And He will be a very present help.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

God’s Covenant

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Exodus 34:10 “Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you.”
From the above context we understand that our God performed awesome things in the midst of the people of Israel, before he could take them into the land of Canaan. And God said to Moses, “ Behold, I will make a covenant” for the people had broken the covenant made previously, as Moses had entreated, God to forgive the sins of the people, and to go along with them and lead them into the land of Canaan, and drive out the inhabitants of it before them; and, that the people should avoid idolatry, and everything that led to it, particularly making covenants, and entering into alliances with the idolatrous nations. God said to him, that He will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation.

God performed many wonders during their journey in the wilderness. Some of the events included , such as the earth opening its mouth and swallowing alive Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, and this was a new thing God created; Then the smiting of the rock at Kadesh, from where flowed waters abundantly; Again He healed the people from the plague who were bitten by fiery serpents, when they looked at the brass serpent. The other incident was when Balaam’s ass began speaking, and reproving the madness of the prophet. The people witnessed the waters of Jordan being divided, The walls of Jericho fell at the sound of rams’ horns; and how the sun stood still upon Gibeon, and moon stood still at Ayalon. until the Lord had avenged himself of his enemies: All the people surrounding the Israelites shall see the work of the Lord; for it should be visible, as the above things were, and plainly appear to be the Lord’s doing, and not man’s, being above the power of any created being to perform:
God further said that it would be a terrible thing that he would do with Moses, the meekest man on the face of the earth. God caused change on the face of Moses’, it was the wonderful shining of the skin of his face, when he came down from the mount, which made the children of Israel afraid to come near him; and Moses lived almost 120 years, yet he was vigorous and his eye was not dim.
In this world you will have problems, tribulation, burden of debts, a lot of pressure, a tight situation and sicknesses, but you have a God in the midst of you who has power to change all the situation by sending just one word. He will take care of all things that concerns you. You seem to be perplexed as to how your future will be? What will happen to your family. All these days you were inside your house because of lock down but now that all is unlocked, you need to go out to work , you need to educate your children, pay their fees and your house rent, that has been pending. God is telling each one of you who are reading this message that He will meet all your needs in a marvellous manner just as He performed several wonders in the midst of the Israelites while they were journeying through the wilderness. He is blessing your future, with wonders. Amen, Hallelujah!
God is looking at you and is telling you, that God is making an agreement with you. God is making a promise or covenant, with You. He is a God of Promise. He will never fail you. He will deliver you with His right hand. For the works of the Lord are great, His work is honourable and glorious. He works in ways, that cannot be comprehended. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered. He has given food to those who fear Him. He will ever be mindful of His covenant. He has declared to His people the power of His works. He has commanded His covenant forever. If God can be faithful to His chosen people, will He not be faithful to you? The Bible says, “Even if we are faithless, God remains faithful, for He cannot deny, Who He is. ” So believe in God, He will do wonders for you. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You for doing wonders for the people of Israel, in the midst of their foes such as, You have never done before. The world looks at You in amazement at the terrible works that you did through Moses the servant of God. Similarly perform wonders for us as we wait upon You especially during these days, when we are going through economic downfall and steeped in depression. Bless us O Lord. Cause Your face to shine upon us, for we totally depend on you.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
