My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 121:2, “My help comes from the Lord. Who made heaven and earth.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we learn that “What we really need from God is a help.” When we go through a crisis in our life, we usually look to others for help. But David says, “My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” We are in need of help that is a powerful, efficient, constant and very present help in trouble. The Bible says God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. What a mercy that we have it, in Our God. Our hope is in Jehovah for our help comes from him. Help is on the way and will not fail to reach us in due time. God who sends His blessings is never known to be late.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jehovah, the creator are aware of every emergency, and situations that need His help. Therefore let us be very joyful in our infinite helper, who is willing to bow even the hills themselves to help you. We are bound to look beyond heaven and earth to Him who made them both, rather than put our trust upon the creatures. In this Psalm, the Psalmist directs and encourages us to repose ourselves and our confidence in God, and by faith to put ourselves under His protection, and commit ourselves to His care. David assures himself of help from God and therefore says, “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help.” The Psalmist encourages us to put our trust upon God as a God of power, and a God of all-sufficient to us. David did so and found the benefit of it. Therefore we must fetch in help from God by faith in His promise, for God himself has undertaken to be our protector.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God is not only at your right side, but He will keep the feet of his saints from being hurt. He will have an eye, upon them in their motions. He will never allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. He will prevent you from falling into sin. The sun shall not smite you with his heat by day nor the moon with her cold and moisture by night. He will keep your feet from falling. He will keep His eye upon you in all the direction you go. The sun shall not smite you with his heat, by day, nor the moon with her cold and moisture by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. He will continue His care over you from this time forth and even from evermore. He will preserve you in his heavenly kingdom. Trust in Him for He will carry you through.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we praise you for rendering help to us. You are a divine God, You made the heaven and the earth. Yet you are ready to help us when we call. Teach us not to trust on creatures but on the creator. May you be a present help in our trouble.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Psalm 34:5 “They looked to Him and were Radiant. And their faces were not ashamed.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This is a Psalm of David. This Psalm was penned upon a particular, occasion. when he changed his behavior as an insane person before Abimelech, who drove him away, from his presence and he departed. We read in the above context, “That they looked unto him, and were lightened.” The Psalmist avows that his case was similar, to those of all the faithful. They to each one of them, on looking to their Lord were brightened up. Their faces began to shine, their spirits were uplifted. What a means of blessing! One look at the Lord, there is life, light, liberty, love, everything in fact, in a look at the Crucified One. And their faces were not ashamed. Instead, their faces were covered with joy. He who trusts in God has no need to be ashamed of his confidence.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Psalmist actually praises God for the experiences which he and others have had, of his goodness. He encourages all good people to trust in God and to seek him. He gives good counsel, to us all. To take heed of sin, and be conscious of our duty both to God and man. Psalmist emphasizes God’s favor, to the righteous, and his displeasure against the wicked. As a result, he sets before us good and evil, the blessing and the curse. So that in singing this Psalm we are to give glory to God, and to admonish ourselves and one another.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, David’s prayers helped to silence his fears, and many like him have looked unto the Lord by faith and prayer and it has wonderfully revived and comforted them at times of distress, and uncomfortable circumstances, for help and deliverance, and they were enlightened. In the same way, when a small problem arises in your life you begin to wonder as to whom you might approach for consolation or to solve your problem. The right person whom you can trust and cast all your burden at that point of time is the Lord Jesus Christ. However complicated your problem may be. He alone can give you the right answer to your problem. When you look at His face, your face will become radiant. You will never be put to shame. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we thank you for telling us that we need to look at the face of God at times of trouble. Make our faces radiant when we look to You. We believe that there is life, light, liberty, and love, in a look at the Crucified One. Help us not to be put to shame.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Matthew 17:17 “ O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The above passage pictures a lesson on faith and power. This incident happened on the day after the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. Jesus and his three disciples had gone up to the mount of transfiguration. And they were coming down to rejoin the others. There was a crowd at the bottom of the mount waiting to meet Jesus. Just then a man cried out to Him. He was pleading Jesus to heal his son. He said that his son was an epileptic and suffers severely. He said to Jesus, that his son, often falls into the fire and often into the water. Mark, in his Gospel, speaks of his foaming mouth, grinding teeth rigid body and not being able to speak. Luke mentions his crying out, convulsions bruises and so on. The boy was actually demon possessed. He had an evil spirit that tried to kill him by causing him to fall into the fire and into the water.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, actually Jesus had given to his twelve disciples the power to overcome unclean spirits, and to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of diseases. But in this particular case, the disciples could not drive out the demon. Hence the man tells Jesus very pathetically that he approached his disciples but they couldn’t cure the boy. Then Jesus answered and said the above statement. “ O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall be with you. How long shall I bear with you?” Then Jesus moved with compassion towards the boy, rebuked the evil spirit out of his body. Immediately the boy was cured. Jesus restored him and set him free from his bondage.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Some of you like this boy must be suffering from such kind of bondage. You might have tried different ways and means, to overcome this bondage. But may not have succeeded. And hence you might be in a dilemma as to what you should do about it. The Bible says, then they shall call and the Lord shall hear, they shall cry, and He shall say, here I am.
Which means the Lord is ready to answer your call. The Lord says, when they call on Me I will answer. I will be with them in trouble I will be with them and deliver them. When you have such a wonderful God, the Lord Jesus, why don’t you turn to him and be healed? For God says, “For I am the Lord who heals you.” Do not delay, This is the day of salvation, Or this is the time of favor. So turn to him and be healed. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord help us to realize your power of healing. Teach us to exercise our faith in a useful manner. Give us the strength to overcome all our weaknesses. Help us to walk in wisdom. Thank you, Lord for healing us and setting us free from bondage.
In Jesus name we pray.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you is from the book of Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. God always has good thoughts for you. From the time a child is born, God takes note of the child’s life. Every act of his has been recorded in the book of life.
He watches over each one meticulously to provide a better future and hope. God has a plan and purpose for everyone. You might be awaiting good things in your life. God is promising you that if you wait upon Him, He will show you great and unsearchable things you would not have known.
For this to happen, you need to believe in God’s word. Only those who believe will see the Glory of God. God has an appointed time to fulfill His plan in your life. You should wait patiently to receive His blessings.
Even if it delays, it will be for your good. He will not harm you. He will fulfill His promises. Prepare yourself to receive a miracle.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless your dear children. I pray that you may perform a miracle in their life. Let them experience the great things that you are going to do in their lives. In Jesus name, we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Matthew 7:11, ” If you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your father which in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we do understand, that in the midst of all our evil, there is still that element of natural and pure affection. Which makes the fatherhood of men a fit parable of the Fatherhood of God. As all mankind in general, are both by nature and practice, they are conceived in sin, shapen in iniquity, are evil from their youth, they are corrupt and do abominable things. But the Bible says, even such people know how to give good gifts, to their children. They give their best to their children though it costs them much.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, When these evil parents can afford to give good gifts to their children, how much more shall your Father who is omniscient and omnipotent knows your need and will bless you with His choicest blessings.
The Bible says, God gives all good things to them that ask him. The context shows that the “good things” are spiritual gifts. The wisdom, and insight which we all need or rather the one gift of the holy spirit. Not only temporal gifts, as meat, drink and clothing but all spiritual good things, every supply of grace, all things, pertaining, to life and godliness. Spiritual gifts include grace, everything that is necessary for the spiritual and eternal good of his people. But to receive these gifts one must inquire of and seek after, and ask God for them. For every one who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks the door will be opened.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God expects us to ask him when we are in need. He says, “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive that your joy may be complete.” He further urges us to ask by saying, “Whatever you ask in My name, This I will do. That the Father may be glorified in the son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” Also we need to believe that if we ask God in prayer, we will receive it and it will be granted to us. May the Lord help you to ask Him when you are in need. David in his Psalms says, “To You all flesh will come, For you hear prayer.” God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank you because you hear our prayer. Teach us to ask you when we are in need of help. Thank you for the gifts that you have bestowed upon us, both spiritual and temporal. Though we are sinful in nature, yet you consider us and guide us in the way we should go. Bless us, Lord with Your Divine Spirit that we live in tune with God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
