My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that Jesus Christ himself was truly man and the messiah. He came from heaven into this world having been sent by the Father and with the full consent and good will of his own. And those who desire to see Christ, like Zaccheus will break through all opposition and take pain to see him. Christ invited himself to Zaccheus’ house. Wherever Christ comes he opens the heart and inclines it to receive him. He that has a mind to know Christ shall be known of him. Those whom Christ calls must humble themselves and come down. And should be able to receive him joyfully, who brings all good things with him.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Zaccheus gave proof publicly that he had become a true convert. He does not pretend like the Pharisees, but through the grace of God he shows the sincerity of faith and repentance. Zaccheus is considered to be a happy man, for now he is turned from his sins, and all the benefits of salvation will come to him. Christ comes to his house, and where Christ comes he brings salvation with him. He came into this lost world to seek and to save it. The purpose and design of Jesus was to save, when there was no salvation in any other.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost. Like the lost sheep from its fold. There were ninety nine that safely lay in the shelter of the fold. But one was away on the hills away. Far from the gates, of the farm house away on the mountains. Jesus once told the story of the good shepherd, who went in search of the lost sheep leaving the remaining ninety nine, in the safety of the fold. When we recollect the incident of David, the shepherd boy, we find that he would run to protect the sheep from the bear and the lion. He looked after the flock of his seven brothers. Though he was the youngest He was strong, brave, and trusted God. Once a lion pulled a lamb away but he grabbed the beast and killed it. Likewise he killed the bear that attacked his flock. David knew that God had helped him. When evening came, David, would play on his shepherd’s pipe, and would call them back to the fold. This implicates how Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you because You came to seek and to save that which was lost. Thank you for your free gift of salvation. Teach us to be like Zaccheus who desired to see Jesus. And so Jesus not only lifted up his eyes and looked up to him seated on the sycamore tree, but also visited his house himself and announced salvation into his house. Help us also to enjoy the presence of God in our lives like Zaccheus.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of, Psalms 119:92, “Unless your law had been My delight I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts. For by them You have given me life.“
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the psalmist would have perished in his affliction if he had not been comforted by God’s word. Yes, dear children of God when sorrows increase in your life, when anguish increases in your life, you will have to hold on to the word of God in order to sustain life. Surely these words have power to take form. When the Lord gave good word to Mary the word came to life. When the Lord gave good word to Manoah and his wife, the word came to life. He is a God who speaks by His mouth and performs by his hands. God has given us His word, The Bible” to comfort us in times of tribulation.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, That word which has preserved the heavens and the earth, also preserves the people of God in their time of trial. Gods word is a delight to us. This takes a double delight when all other delights are taken away from us. We should have died in our grief if the spiritual comforts of God’s word had not uplifted us. But because of their sustaining influence we have been able to bear all the depressions and despairs which naturally grow out of severe affliction. David thus speaks of his distressful condition he was in, when he was persecuted by Saul and he was compelled to hide himself, in the rocks and caves of the earth.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, It is very likely that he had the book of Gods law with him, by the reading of which he mitigated and allayed his sorrows and kept himself pure instead of indulging in worldly superstitions. The word of God is a precious medicine to keep Gods people from perishing in times of affliction. This even upheld Jacob from sinking when his brother Easu came against him furiously to destroy him. He actually reminded God about His word, saying, I will surely do thee good.As a result the promise of God supported him.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, similarly the word of God will surely support you in times of affliction. Make God’s word as a lamp to your feet, And a light to your path. May God help you to see the many wondrous things from the word of God. Like David, put all your hope in the ordinances of God and keep his law continually. For he knew the life giving energy of the word in his own soul. Delight in Gods word and He will give you the desires of your heart. For the Bible says, blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank for your precious word. It comforts us at times of trials. May we delight in the word of God and be blessed. Help us to give priority to the word of God in our lives. Teach us to keep your testimonies and not forget your word. May we hear the word and obey it too. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dearly Beloved, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 52:7 , “ How lovely are the mountains, are the feet of him who brings good news. Who announces peace, and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation. And says to Zion, Your God reigns. They immediately spread the joyful tidings.”
“My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we learn that the Gospel proclaims liberty to all those bound with fears. Let those weary and heavy laden under the burden of sin find relief in Christ, shake themselves from the dust of their doubts and fears and loose themselves from those bonds. The price paid by the Redeemer for our salvation, was not silver or gold or corruptible things, but His own precious blood. Do we seek victory over every sin? Then God requires holiness in us.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The good news is that the Lord Jesus Reigns. Christ Himself brought these good tidings first. His ministers proclaim these good tidings to all mankind. They keep themselves clean from the pollutions of the world. God calls all to use the liberty Christ has provided from the bondage of sin and Satan. Thus all those who serve the Lord God Almighty are kept under special protection. And those who believe this will not suffer from fear.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the above verse describes the return of the Jews to their own land. Prophet Isaiah sees in vision the heralds announcing their return to Jerusalem running on the distant hills. A herald bearing good news is a beautiful object and he says, that his feet are beautiful. And his running to convey the message is all the more beautiful.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In those days it was the custom of placing watchmen on the walls of the city who would caution the people about the approaching enemy or about the coming of the messenger from a far distance to announce good news. When the herald brought in good news from distant hills there was great rejoicing. They rejoiced at all the tokens of favour showered upon his people. They not only rejoiced but also sang together lifting up their voices with praises and thanksgiving.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, just as the herald brought good news to the Jews about their return to their own land, God will bring good news to you. The Visa, for which you had applied long time back, will be granted for you to settle abroad. Likewise God will bring in the good news of your promotion. Or maybe you might be transferred to the location you are looking forward. You will be offered a brand new job with a good package. The news of your marriage is getting fixed. God sends His angels as spirits to attend on His children and meet all their needs. These are in a way like the heralds who carry good tidings to the children of God. The feet of such heralds will be beautiful as they carry message sent from God. For the Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variation Or shadow of turning.” God bless you..
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for sending in the messenger to announce the good news of peace and joy. Thank you Lord for being so mindful of us, and bringing in all the good news for our family and our personal life. Help us to enjoy the gifts that God grants us and also teach us to rejoice over it.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Hebrews 11:1 “ Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
“My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the above context tells us that faith in God is a sign of assurance that one is destined for the future kingdom of God which is unseen. Having faith in Christ means believing that Jesus is the Messiah. Faith has always been the mark of God’s servants from the beginning of the world. It will cause the truth to be received for justification by the sufferings of and merits of Christ. And the same things that are the object of our hope, are the object of our faith. It is a firm expectation that God will perform all that He has promised to us in Christ.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Faith proves to the mind. The reality of things that cannot be seen by the bodily eye. It is an approval of all that God has revealed as holy, just and good. Many have walked by faith in former times. Faith was the principle of their holy, obedience, remarkable service and patient sufferings. We need to simply believe the scripture account of the creation for all that we see of the works of creation that were brought into being by the command of God. The Bible says, Eternal life depends on the existence and exercise of faith.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The object of the Apostle Paul while writing to the Hebrews, is not to illustrate, the nature of what is called “ Saving Faith ”but to show the power of unwavering confidence in God in sustaining the soul, especially in times of trial and particularly in leading us to act in view of promises and of things not seen as if they really existed.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Now having known what FAITH really is, we need to exercise it in our life on daily basis. The Bible very clearly says, it is impossible to please God without faith. And that the just shall live by faith alone and not by sight. Hence we need to have strong faith in God like Abraham. Who was called “Friend of God. Even though he did not know where God was taking him, yet he implicitly obeyed Him. So Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken to him. ’’He knew very well that even if God wanted him to sacrifice his only son Isaac, God would provide another. That was his ardent faith in God. Similarly we see Jacob another man of God exercise his faith by his saying, “I will not let You go unless You bless me.” So he wrestles with God( Elohim.) He knew very well that only God could Bless him. He was known as Israel and he received the blessing of God. May God help you to acquire that “ Faith” in God. The Lord bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us that we need to walk by faith. Help us to increase our faith in You Oh God. May we be like the men of God, like Daniel, Noah, Enoch and many others, exercise faith, in our daily life. May we obtain a good testimony through faith.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord with tears, the word that the Lord gave me to bless you on this day is from the book of Genesis 24:56-58 ‘But He said to them, “Do not detain me, now that the Lord has granted success to my journey. Send me on my way so I may go to my master.’ Then they said, “Let’s call the young woman and ask her about it.” So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?” “I will go,” she said.’
In this portion, we see that Isaac waited for 40 years with patience with regard to his marriage life. He waited upon the Lord for His perfect time. Even today, you might be worried for various problems. Today, the Lord is going to break all the hindrances in your life.
The Lord is going to make a way in your life. God wants us to inherit every blessing from Heaven. Wait upon the Lord with all your requests. He will bless you with all that you ask in His name. Your life will be a great blessing when you allow God to be the centre of your life. My dear child, the Lord will do great and mighty things in your life from today.
God Bless You
Prayer:
Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, You know what Your children have been praying for. I pray that You may bless Your beloved children with all that they ask for in Your name Lord Jesus. May You perfect all that concerns them in Your time. In Jesus Name we Ask and Pray,
Amen.
