God’s People

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of 2 Chronicles 20:20, ” Believe in the Lord Your God. And you shall be established.  Believe His prophets and you shall prosper”.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God has appointed men of God or Prophets for the sake of his people. God has anointed and appointed men of God to talk, and plead and to intercede on behalf of his children. During the time of Prophet Elisha, the Shunammite woman did not have a child for many years.  She had everything, but she was not blessed with a child. It was the practice or custom of the woman to invite the prophet, Elisha,  while he was on his  Missionary journey,  to her house, give him food and let him stay on the upper room of her house. She was a woman of great honor. It was through the prayers of this great prophet that she got a baby boy. And he was growing up.  All of a sudden the boy developed a high temperature and the child passed away, as she was attending to him on her lap.

She was a mother with a difference.  She had a room on the upper floor of her house with a cot table and a chair. And it was exclusively for the prophet. She laid the dead body of the child on the bed in the upper room of the prophet and closed the door. Then she saddled a donkey and asked her servant to drive quickly and not to stop on the way. She went to the man of God at Mount Carmel. As soon as she conveyed the incident to him, Elisha first gave a staff to his servant Gehazi and directed him to lay it on the face of the child, believing that the baby would revive back to life. He left at once. But she was adamant or determined that she would only leave if the prophet came along with her.  So Elisha accompanied her to her house. He went straight into his room and shut the door behind him and prayed to the Lord.  He knew that if the boy had to come back to life then it would be possible only with God.  The Lord listened to his prayer and brought back life into the child. Hallelujah!  Thus we see how the Prophet of God prayed for the Shunammite son and brought him to life.  He called the Shunammite woman and handed over the little boy.  And departed back to his home.

Similarly, we see Moses another prophet of God who interceded on behalf of the children of God namely the Israelites. As Moses delayed coming down from Mount Sinai, the children of Israel made a golden calf and began to worship it. They provoked God to anger and sinned against Him deliberately. The wrath of God was kindled and He wanted to destroy them. So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold.  But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.”Moses was willing to lose his heavenly position for the sake of his people who followed him diligently to the promised land flowing with milk and honey. This is the attribute of a true Prophet of God. He was willing to let go off his leadership in order to save the people of God.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, I urge you to trust in the Prophets God has appointed and be benefitted by their earnest intercession, prayer, and supplication for your needs.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  We thank you, Lord, for anointing and appointing prophets who could plead and intercede on our behalf to the Lord and grant us our petition. May the children of God believe the words of the prophets and prosper in their lives. In Jesus name, we pray.

Amen.

Good Things

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus  Christ our Lord.  The blessed  word  that God has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Jeremiah 31:14 “I will satisfy the priests with abundance and My People will be filled with My bounty.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,   from the above context we understand that God will satisfy the needs of His people. The Bible says, God, scattered Israel, throughout the land. Therefore He knows where to find them. It is clear and comfortable to observe the goodness of the Lord regarding the gifts of Providence. God promises to satisfy His people with His loving kindness. God further promises to bless the priests, by giving success in their ministry and letting them see the fruit of their labor, and make them rejoice. Hence the priests of the Jews after the captivity kept the feast, of the dedication of the temple with joy. The Bible says The Lord had made the people joyful. And the people were satisfied with the Lord’s goodness.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Bible says, that there would be no manner of trouble and affliction in those times among the people. Thus the Lord met the needs of the priests. In the same way, the Lord wants to satisfy the needs of His children. God wants to bless you with all good things. We see that many people do not have sound sleep. This is because they are controlled by the evil spirit. Satan does not permit them to live in peace and harmony. Satan wants to make them mad, and let them suffer in their normal lives. They would behave in a peculiar manner and if questioned they would say, they did not have proper sleep the previous night. Such people would not be able to do anything correctly. Sleep is essential to maintain a healthy life. To sleep well you need the grace of God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, do you have proper sleep? Are you worried about the issues of your family?  Is something worrying you and are you not able to come out of it. The Bible encourages us to put our trust in God as an assurance of peaceful resting. If you are troubled by worries then your sleep will be disturbed. For worries prevent you from sleeping.  So you need to cast your anxieties upon the love and sovereignty of God.  When deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, they see dreams and visions at night.  Once when Jesus spoke about Lazarus of Bethany to his disciples, He said,  “Our friend Lazarus sleeps. But I go that I may awake him up.” But the disciples of Jesus said, to him, “ Lord if he sleeps, he will get better.”Yes if you sleep well you will get better.” Sound sleep provides sufficient rest during the night as we recover our energy, to take on the next day. David in his Psalms says, “ I lie down and sleep. I awake again Because the Lord sustains me.”He says, In peace, I will lie down and sleep,  for you alone Lord make me dwell in safety.”  God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly   Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we thank you for telling us of the importance of sound sleep.  We also thank you for giving us rest through deep sleep. Remove all our worries and troubles that cause distress and disturb our sleep. Give us the grace to sleep well so that we may have a healthy life. In Jesus name, we pray.

Amen.

God answers prayers

My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of 1 Samuel 1:27, “For this child I prayed and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of him.”

Hannah is one of two wives of Elkanah. The other, Peninnah, had given birth to Elkanah’s children,  but Hannah remained childless.  So one day, Hannah went up to the temple and prayed with a great weeping. Eli the High Priest heard her weeping bitterly at the altar. Hannah was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. She  made a vow saying, ‘’Lord if You will give me a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life.”  When Eli enquired the reason for her weeping she told him that she was a woman of a sorrowful spirit,  therefore she had poured out her heart to God. Eli said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel will grant your petition.” Hannah conceived and bore a son. And called his name Samuel, God looked into her affliction and heard her cry and answered her prayers. God not only heard her prayer but answers everyone who cries out to him in truth and spirit.

I would like to share a testimony about a family in America.  I went to Australia in July  2017.  And a family came for prayers. When did I ask them what I should pray for? They told me about their elder brother who was in America. They had been married for almost ten years but they had no children. So I prayed for them through the phone.  I sent God’s word and believed that He will perform a miracle. I said to the Lord, “You are a God of miracles. You hear the cry of the needy. You are a God who does more than what we ask, think or pray. Therefore kindly bless my son with the gift of a child.  You are a God at hand and a God afar off”. I sent the word through the phone hoping that God would perform a miracle. The word took a form within her womb, and she conceived three children in her womb.  Praise be to God.

God saw her affliction and blessed her with three children. I again went to Australia in the month of July this year 2018, that family came again to meet me. I couldn’t recognize them. I asked them what I should pray for?  Then they narrated the entire episode that took place in 2017 in my previous visit. They said that God had blessed their elder brother after I had prayed with two daughters and a son. They were filled with great joy. They said that they had come to thank me. God sent forth the word and performed a miracle. God will perform a miracle for you too if you wait upon Him.  God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Lord, I thank you for answering the prayers of my children.  When we call You in distress you hear our cry. Lord, we praise You for Your kindness. Bless all those who are in need of a child and may they rejoice in You all the days of their lives. In Jesus name, we pray.

Amen.

The Promise of the Lord to you

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of 1 Kings 8:56, “Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.” Here we see that God requested King Solomon to build a temple for Him. The Lord also tells Solomon that He will build for him a house in return.

Solomon built the temple of the Lord. The Lord was very pleased with his work. It was not the wealth collected by his father David that Solomon used to build the temple nor was it the workers he had. It was purely the wisdom and the Grace of the Lord that was upon Solomon that helped him build the Temple. As Solomon fulfilled the request of God in building the Temple, God fulfilled His promise of building a house for him.

In the same way, when God promises something to you, He will surely fulfill His promise. If He has promised you a good job or any blessing, He will fulfill it. His words will never fail. He will surely fulfill the promise He made to you. He is a God who does not change His words. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is an ever unfailing God.

God Bless You.

 Prayer:

Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You bless Your dear children. Father, You are a God who keeps Your promise. God fulfilled the promises that He made to Abraham, in the life of Isaac and Jacob. Lord, may You fulfill all the promises that You have made to Your children. We thank You for Your everlasting mercy.  In Jesus name, we pray,

Amen.

God keeps His promise

My  Dear  Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus  Christ our Lord.  The blessed  word  that God has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  1 Kings 8:56 , “Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.”

My Dear brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God keeps His promise. We see that the supplication  of  Solomon  was similar, to that of the intercession of Christ. With such type of supplication we shall receive grace, sufficient, suitable and seasonable in every time of need.

Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. Because  all came to pass. The Bible says, Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel according to all that He promised. A land of rest, and rest in the land from all enemies. Moses tells the people of Israel,  “’ But when you cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the Lord your God, in giving you to inherit,  He will give   you rest  from all your enemies round about, so that you may dwell in safety.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters Joshua actually observed the fulfilment of all the promises made by God by the hand of Moses his servant, before his death. But Solomon sees a greater accomplishment of the gracious promises of God and his faithfulness  therein both in the times of his father, David and his own. Our God is faithful  and keeps His promise.  God requested King Solomon to build a temple, for Him and in return the Lord told Solomon that he would build for him a house in return. Therefore Solomon says,  Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who spoke with His mouth to David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it. It was purely the wisdom and the grace of the Lord that was upon Solomon that helped him to build the temple. Since Solomon fulfilled the request of God in building the temple, God fulfilled his promise of building a house for him.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the same way, when God promises to do something for you,   He will surely fulfil His promise. The Bible says,  God is not a man, that He should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent. Hath He said, and shall he not do it. Or hath he spoken   and shall he not, make it good? He is a faithful God who keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generation. God bless you.

Prayer:

Our   loving   heavenly   Father,   we  thank  You for this blessed day.  We thank You because You are a God who keeps Your promise. We thank you Lord for all the promises you have given us that we may, hold on to these promises and encourage ourselves in our spiritual life.   Teach us to keep our promises to others.  Never to cheat or deceive   others,  but to  be loyal  and faithful. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
