Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today, is from the book of Jeremiah 32:21-22, “You brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and outstretched arm, and with great terror. And You gave them this land, which You swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey. Canaan refers to blessings.
The people of Israel were kept as captives in Egypt. The Israelites cried out to the Lord seeking His help to be delivered. The Lord heard their cry and brought them out of Egypt to the land of blessings – Canaan (the land flowing with milk and honey). Today, the Lord is going to cause you to ‘Arise and Start’ afresh.
You might have been captive to many captivities like addiction to drugs, alcohol, pride, greed, envy, lust and much more. The book of 1 Corinthians 3:17 says, “If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple”. Your body is the temple of God, which means, God dwells in you. God cannot dwell in a place that is unclean. For God to dwell in you, you have to make yourself pure and get rid of your old sinful life. Arise and start moving towards the blessings of the Lord, leaving your old life. When you dwell in your sinful life, you will become a barricade of your own blessings. Repent and ask the Lord to cleanse you from all your sinful nature. Keep your body and mind pure, only then the Lord will be able to dwell in you.
Luke 15:10, says, “Heaven will rejoice when you repent from your sins”. When you repent, the Lord will rejoice and will be happy. God will take away all your sins and will bless you with peace and happiness. God will forgive and make you a new creation. You will receive all the blessings that the Lord has promised to you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, You are the God who brought the people of Israel out of Egypt into the land of blessings- Canaan. Likewise, Father, I pray that You may bring out Your children from all the sinful nature that they have been caught up into. Bless them with a new start in their life. May all their thoughts and actions be pure and pleasing in Your sight Lord Jesus. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Zechariah 4:6 “Not by might nor by power, but by the spirit says, the Lord.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we come to know that the word of the Lord came to Prophet Zechariah. He admonishes the people to return to God. “Return to Me says, the Lord of hosts. And I will return to you.” The words of Zechariah encouraged Zerubbabel saying “ Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says, the Lord. ” The prophet’s spirit was willing to attend, but the flesh was weak. We should ask of God that Whenever God speaks to us he would awaken us and we should then stir up ourselves. The angel who talked with him awakened him as a man who is awakened out of his sleep. The angel showed to him a golden lampstand and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lampstands. The church represents the golden lampstand set up for enlightening this dark world. Two olive trees were seen one on each side of the candle stand from which oil flowed into the bowl without ceasing.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Zerubbabel was the governor of Judah, and he laid the foundation for the temple. He was given sanction to rebuild the temple. God brings to pass his gracious purpose concerning his church. Without any art or labour, God uses his power to enlighten the people and making holy the ministers and members of the church. The difficulty in constructing the temple is represented as a great mountain. But all difficulties shall vanish. Faith will remove mountains and make them plains. The Bible says, Every valley shall be exalted, And every mountain and hill shall be made straight. And rough places smooth. This is the work of the Lord. Nothing is too hard for Him. We must accept that which comes from the grace of God by faith for he will not forsake the work of his own hands. The Lord says, that one cannot achieve anything by human might nor through fleshly strength but by the power of the holy spirit and through divine will.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, are you trying to find a solution to your problem through your own fleshly strength or by human might. Are you struggling to find an answer to your problem through your intelligence? Are you planning to move mountains? Then you might face obstacles in your way. You might even face a great loss. Or you might experience pain and agony because of the effort you undertake, to accomplish your desires. Consider the word of God which says, “Without Me, you can do nothing.” Without the help of God, we can do nothing. Paul in his epistle says, “ I planted the seed, Apollos watered it but God gave the growth. ” So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. In a similar manner, one cannot achieve his ambitions by human effort, but only by the Holy Spirit of God. May the Spirit of God abide with you. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we understand through this passage that we need the Holy Spirit to operate in our lives. And we cannot achieve anything without the work of the Holy Spirit. Teach us not to depend upon our own strength or by might. But to depend on the Holy Spirit. Help us to realize that we cannot achieve anything without the help of God. May we be led by the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Matthew 17:17 “ O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The above passage pictures a lesson on faith and power. This incident happened on the day after the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. Jesus and his three disciples had gone up to the mount of transfiguration. And they were coming down to rejoin the others. There was a crowd at the bottom of the mount waiting to meet Jesus. Just then a man cried out to Him. He was pleading Jesus to heal his son. He said that his son was an epileptic and suffers severely. He said to Jesus, that his son, often falls into the fire and often into the water. Mark, in his Gospel, speaks of his foaming mouth, grinding teeth rigid body and not being able to speak. Luke mentions his crying out, convulsions bruises and so on. The boy was actually demon possessed. He had an evil spirit that tried to kill him by causing him to fall into the fire and into the water.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, actually Jesus had given to his twelve disciples the power to overcome unclean spirits, and to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of diseases. But in this particular case, the disciples could not drive out the demon. Hence the man tells Jesus very pathetically that he approached his disciples but they couldn’t cure the boy. Then Jesus answered and said the above statement. “ O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall be with you. How long shall I bear with you?” Then Jesus moved with compassion towards the boy, rebuked the evil spirit out of his body. Immediately the boy was cured. Jesus restored him and set him free from his bondage.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Some of you like this boy must be suffering from such kind of bondage. You might have tried different ways and means, to overcome this bondage. But may not have succeeded. And hence you might be in a dilemma as to what you should do about it. The Bible says, then they shall call and the Lord shall hear, they shall cry, and He shall say, here I am.
Which means the Lord is ready to answer your call. The Lord says, when they call on Me I will answer. I will be with them in trouble I will be with them and deliver them. When you have such a wonderful God, the Lord Jesus, why don’t you turn to him and be healed? For God says, “For I am the Lord who heals you.” Do not delay, This is the day of salvation, Or this is the time of favor. So turn to him and be healed. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord help us to realize your power of healing. Teach us to exercise our faith in a useful manner. Give us the strength to overcome all our weaknesses. Help us to walk in wisdom. Thank you, Lord for healing us and setting us free from bondage.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Mark 10:47- 49, “When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”
Today, I would like to introduce to you a person who respects and helps the beggars and the poor people whom others make fun of. He is my Lord Jesus Christ. He is willing to bless all the people of this Earth. Lord Jesus came to this Earth to help humanity. He came to do good things for them. Have a close relationship with Him. You will be able to taste and see that He is good.
2000 years back, Jesus was going to a place for His ministry. On His way, He saw a blind man who was begging. He had to stretch his hands for money just to fill his stomach. Many people humiliated him. Just to fill His stomach, he tolerated every humiliation. He tried all possible medication for his eyesight but was not healed. At that time, some people told about Jesus to this blind man. They said that he could taste the Lord for he was doing good things for all the people. If only he could get an opportunity to see Jesus, then he would be healed from his sickness. At that time, he heard that Jesus was passing through that way. He was crying out saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy upon me.” The people told him to be quiet. But he called out to Jesus even louder. Jesus heard and stood there as He respected his voice. Jesus stood still and called for him. So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
My dear children of God, do not lose this opportunity that the Lord has given for you to taste who Jesus is. Jesus is asking you, “What would you want me to do for you! What is it that you want to accomplish through me!” The Lord is telling, “All that you have asked in my name has been granted to you. Be at peace.” Jesus respects each and every move of your heart. He hears every cry of your heart. He is a God who gives answers to your prayers.
Today, the Lord is breaking all your bondage. He is giving you all that you desired for. You do not have to stretch your hands before any human. Jesus says that He will be your provider in all ways. Go with faith for you will see the glory of God.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly father, we thank You for this blessed day. I submit my dear children into Your hands of protection. Lord, You have said that You will be their provider. They will not have to stretch forth their hands to any human for help. Lord, I pray that You may help Your dear children in all their difficulties and bring a breakthrough in their lives. Be with them and bless them In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of “I Corinthians 13:10 “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes the partial will be done away.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that, the Corinthians prided themselves in doing charity rather than giving gifts. We actually find a great difference between children and grown up men. What narrow views ,what confused ideas do children have when compared to grown up men. Such is the difference between earth and heaven. As men of this world we accumulate a lot of earthly gifts. But the gifts of this world which we consider so precious will lose its value when we go to heaven.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, At present all things are dark and confused, they seem to be like, reflection in a mirror but in future our knowledge will be free from error. Only the light of heaven will remove all clouds and darkness that hide the face of God from us. To sum up, the excellences of charity, is preferred not only to gifts, but to other graces, to faith and hope.
Apostle Paul speaks about various spiritual gifts in the book of Corinthians. But there will be a time when these gifts will cease, because something better will replace them. Perfect means “ complete” the incomplete will be replaced by the “complete.” It must be accepted that when we get to heaven the ‘partial,” things will give way to the ‘perfect.’ And preaching and teaching will no longer be needed.
My Dear brothers and Sisters, In the similar manner when God begins to bless you then all your problems will come to an end. All the curses will be turned to joy. Instead of shame God will grant you name and fame. May be you are facing storms in life, regarding your finances or you may not have a proper job, your marriage life seems to crumble down. Or you are going through court cases and waiting for a favourable judgement. The Bible says “God calms the storm so that its waves are still.” The period of darkness will be erased and then your light shall break forth like the morning. And the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. In heaven love will be made perfect. There we shall perfectly love God. And there we shall love one another. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for teaching us that Charity is better than gifts. Moreover we understand that all the spiritual gifts will vanish away but love alone will remain forever. Teach us to love one another and abide in God, for God is love. Lord help us to enjoy the heavenly life on earth by living to the expectation of God. May we exhibit the love of God to others all around us. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
