My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms.12:5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise, says, the Lord, I will set him in the safety for which he earns.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context, we see how the Psalmist pleads help from God because there were none among men whom he could dare trust. This Psalm furnishes good thoughts, during bad times. A man may comfort himself, with meditations, and prayers. Bad times occur especially due to scarcity of money, the decay of trade, and the desolations of war. But Psalmist says that bad times are caused due to sin. When the poor and needy are oppressed then the times are very bad. Even when wickedness abounds then the times are very bad. God himself takes notice of the oppression of the poor and the sighing of the needy.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, therefore we need to approach God and tell him of all grievances, God will certainly punish and restrain false and proud men. He will work deliverance for his oppressed people. His help is given in the fittest time. Though men are false, God is faithful. God will secure his chosen remnant however bad the times are. As long as the world exists, there will be a generation of proud and wicked men. But all Gods people are safe in the hands of God for none can pluck them thence. Since they are built in Him the Rock, and they are safe.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, The people of God are poor and are constantly in need of fresh supplies of grace and being often afflicted, are mean in the eyes of this world. Just as the poor are oppressed by the rich, and as the people of Israel, were oppressed by the Egyptians, so are the people of God afflicted by haughty and insolent persons.
So the Lord says, “ Now will I arise, have mercy on the poor, and needy and to avenge them on their oppressors, and deliver them from their cruel hands.” And thus the Lord promises to do now, speedily and immediately. God arises in the most seasonable times when his people are in the midst of greatest tribulation and in the utmost distress. To such people, God displays His wisdom power and goodness. God says, “I will set him in safety for which he earns.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This shows that God will deliver the poor and needy from their oppression and put them in a comfortable prosperous, safe and happy situation. In due season the Lord will hear the cry of his children who cry out to God day and night unto Him. He will avenge them speedily. God heard the cry of Moses at the Red Sea. God saw Hagar’s affliction and heard her cry. Nothing moves the father like the cries of his children. He stirs himself, overthrows the enemy and sets his beloved in safety. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we believe that You stand on behalf, of the poor, and oppressed. You hear their cry and deliver them from the hands of cruel and tyrant people. Thank You for being so mindful and faithful to your children. May Your wisdom, power, and goodness abide within us throughout our lives.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 16: 33, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, there is no one in this world who does not go through troubles. Everyone seems to be suffering in one way or the other. The Bible says, “Take heart! I have overcome the world.”Some people will face financial problems, while others have some sickness. Maybe some are badly in need of a good job, or maybe on the lookout for a life partner. Some may be going through a broken family life. Some must have lost their dear and near one and immersed in deep sorrow. Thus we see a whole lot of people, suffering in one way or the other. That is why the Lord says, “In this world, you will have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” He encourages the people by saying, not to be worried but to be cheerful in the Lord.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, When Jesus walked on the face of this earth, He was not a bouncy, positive thinker. He was a man of sorrows. And so He promised His followers, “In the world, you will have tribulation”. When we find ourselves experiencing weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities, something strange isn’t, happening to us, ”for the Bible says, When I am weak, then I am strong.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, We may experience sorrow from the world and redemption from our Saviour who will work in our sorrows for ultimate good. It’s the spirit in the soul that allows us to be both sorrowful yet always, rejoicing. So in your days of darkness, Jesus understands your situation and does not want you to be troubled about the situation you are going through. Since He has overcome the world He wants you to overcome the world too.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This is the conclusion of our Lord’s Sermon to his disciples. Since he was about to depart, to His Father in Heaven, He assured His disciples that he was going to prepare a place for them. He came to this earth to fulfill the plan of God the Father. The will of the Father was that Jesus had to take up the sufferings of the cross. Jesus knew that His disciples would not be able to bear his sudden departure. So He prepares their heart to bear not only the loss of his presence but also to bear with Him the sufferings he had to go through on the cross of Calvary as it was the will and plan of God the Father. He cautions His disciples by saying, that He had told them of these things so that they might have peace in Him. May we apply His counsel in our life and lead a life pleasing unto God and thus acquire peace.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we are glad to know that you were mindful of your disciples. You had prepared their heart to bear Your sufferings. Thank You for preparing a place for us in Heaven. Help us to hold on to Faith and overcome the world. May we remember to be born of God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 36: 8, “They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink, from your river of delights.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we come to know that the Lord will bless you with the abundance of His house. You shall receive all your blessings in abundance, in the house of the Lord. By his “house” is meant the church of God, of his building, and where he dwells; by the fatness of it provisions there, the word and ordinances, and the blessings of grace which they hold forth; and especially Christ, the bread of life, whose flesh is meat indeed, and whose blood is drink indeed, and which make a feast of fat things; and these they that trust in the Lord are welcome to eat and drink of abundantly, and to have abundant satisfaction.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, They shall be abundantly sallied with the fatness of thy house.; This statement says, that the people of God shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of his house. Those who learn to put their trust in God shall be received into his house and shall share in the provision laid up there in. The dwelling place of the Lord is not confined to any particular place. Instead, our soul becomes the house of God, then the believers shall find in sacred worship the richest spiritual food.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, “And thou shall make them drink of the river of thy pleasure” By This verse we understand that the love of God, make glad the city of God. The fullness of His grace, the eternal glory, and happiness, enjoyed in the presence of God, in which there is the fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures for evermore.
The Bible says, Happy is the soul that can drink of the dainties of the gospel, for God’s everlasting love bears to us a constant and ample comfort of which grace makes us drink from the river by faith. The Lord not only brings us to drink through faith but makes us drink of his divine love. With God we shall find mercy, This is a great comfort to all believers. God does all things wisely and well. But what he does we may not know now. God’s loving kindness is precious to the saints. They put themselves under his protection and find consolation in Him. The souls desire more of God but they never desire more than God. The gifts of providence satisfy, them and they are content, with such things as they have. God not only works in them a desire for these pleasures but by his spirit, fills their souls, with joy and peace, in believing the truth. God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, we thank you for your blessing in abundance and for the fullness of your grace. We thank you for your house that provides the bread of life and the blood of Christ that flows like a river. May the children of God eat of thy bread and drink from the river by faith. We thank you for your providence that satisfies every hungry soul with joy and peace.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Deuteronomy 28:12, “And The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, And to bless the work of your hand”.
The Lord shall open unto you his good treasure. Here His good treasure indicates His treasure of rain. He gives rain for the earth and water for the fields. Thereby He prepares the earth for his people and sends forth a rich harvest of grain. Thus He sends down rain from His storehouses on the hills. He waters the mountains from His palace. He provides rain on the countryside like rain falling on a field like showers watering the earth.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, when God gives He gives in plenty. Rainfall represents greenery, wealth, prosperity or well being. The blessing of the Lord rests upon the head of the righteous. God wants to bless his children with the riches from His storehouse. But in order to receive the blessings from the Lord one must obey His voice and walk according to his precepts. The Bible says the Lord will bless you in His time.
Dear Brothers and sisters when you pass through hard times, during the course of your life, God will intervene in a marvelous manner and bring you out of all your hurdles.
It may be that you are facing a serious financial crisis, or you are terribly caught up in a huge debt from which you cannot release yourself. Or maybe you are suffering from some dreadful disease that causes tremendous pressure. You need relief from all these problems. Hence the only thing you need is to call upon God. He will set you free from all your hurdles. When you call unto Him He will perform a miracle in the right season. He knows what is best for you. God will never disappoint you. He will satisfy you with all that you need. The Lord will then open the heavens to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hand.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, be humble before God. Pray and wait on the Lord. He will exalt you in due season. He will bless you from His storehouse of blessings. For He is a God who takes pity on those who hope in His mercy. Therefore obey the voice of the Lord and inherit His blessings.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you, Lord, for sending rain in due season. Lord, you cause the grass to grow for the cattle and herb for mankind. Lord, you have granted us life and favor, And your care has preserved our life. Therefore we praise you, Lord. Help us to realize how awesome and great you are. Fill us with your treasure in heaven.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” These were the last words spoken by Jesus to His disciples. The above context is the conclusion of our Lord’s sermons to His disciples.
Jesus was sharing about His departure from the Earth, to prepare a place for them and all about the persecutions and afflictions they should endure for His sake and the many blessings, both of grace and glory they should enjoy. He also spoke to them, about the oncoming tribulation in the world. While there were tribulations and problems in the world He realized that there was no true peace to be enjoyed for the people in the world. He knew very well that the world could not give that peace. One can enjoy real peace only through Christ who is the object of all grace.
Christ gives peace by His blood on the cross, and there is peace in Him which is enjoyed through faith. Christ is the omniscient God and truth Himself. Christ became a fountain of peace. He says to His disciples, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
My dear brothers and sisters, today the Lord wants you to live in peace and harmony. It is the devil who comes to steal, kill and to destroy. But Jesus came that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly.
Everyone has troubles in this world. No one is at peace. Everyone goes through oppression. But God will not tempt you beyond, your capacity. The Bible says, “No temptation has overtaken you except, what is common to mankind. And God is faithful.” He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. Therefore, however, the situation may be; Remember that God is in control of your life. He will solve all your problems. He will deliver you from all your obstacles. Cast your care upon Him for He cares for you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord you know the pain and agony that your children go through. Relieve them of their distress. Do not test them beyond their capacity. Lord! send your angels and comfort them. Wipe away their tears. Change their sorrow into joy. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
