MY REDEEMER LIVES

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word  that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Job :14:14, If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

From the above context we find that Job stopped speaking, to his friends and goes on to speak to God. He reminds himself of his own misery, and pleads it with God for some mitigation of his miseries. Job utters the above words when he was in the peak of his misery. This shows that when calamity strikes one’s life, it destroys all his hopes. Job was left in the dark to face the agony of life. Job was once a wealthy man, he was the greatest of all the people of the East. Since he was a rich man, he was respected by all.  Later he was in a fallen state and he was disregarded and disrespected by his neighbours, friends and servants too. Yet Job says, “God will not cast away the blameless.  Job had adamant faith in God”. Therefore he had a ray of hope.

Job  knew that God will be merciful to him and consider his cause. He was willing to wait on   the Lord. He believed   that God does great things and unsearchable, marvellous things without number. He knew that if he was pure and upright God would arise and do marvellous things for him as in the days of his prosperity. He was certain that God would surely bless the latter part of his life.  So he waited patiently for the appointed time, as to when his affliction would come to end.  Even though   he suffered miserably he had great faith in God. He believed that his hope will not be lost. He knew that good days would dawn in his life that’s why he says, “Though He slay me yet  I will trust in Him. He goes on to say, “ I know that My Redeemer lives.” Job knows that God does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous. God honoured his faith and therefore the Bible says, “God blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning.” And Job therefore says, Lord, you can do everything, and no purpose of yours can be withheld from you.

Are you struggling like Job, in your life ? Have you grown very frustrated in your life  ? You might be going through a court case or a divorce case  or a serious problem in your life.  You too like Job must be thinking as to when these problems would come to an end. Wait on the Lord He will surely deliver you   from your problem by His righteous right hand. Your problems will soon come to an end. Surely there is a hereafter. And your hope will not be cut off. You shall see no more disaster. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our   loving   heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Help us to have adamant faith like Job. Teach us to endure patiently the problems that we go through. Remove the yoke of burden thrust upon our shoulder   and relieve us from all grief and pain. Help us to see better days in our life.

 In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

The Lord will help you.

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 50: 7, “For the Lord God will help me. Therefore I will not be disgraced. Therefore I have set my face like a flint.  And I know that I will not be ashamed.”

God did as He promised to do, for His son Jesus.   For He is the true God, and has all divine perfections in Him; He is equal to his Father in power, as well as in glory.  Jesus as man, expresses His strong faith and confidence in God.  But he was made strong by God the Father. Even Jesus needed help and assistance while he was on this earth from God the Father. Hence He boldly says, therefore I shall  not be put to shame. He   further says,  I  have  set my face like a flint  or as a  strong  stone, And this made Him all the more  hardened against all opposition; resolute and undaunted; constant and unmoved by the words and blows of men; He was not dismayed at his enemies, though they came to him as a thief, with swords and staves; to get hold of him to be crucified.  So He says, “And I know that I shall not be ashamed,  neither of his ministry, nor of his miracles,  nor of his obedience, which was pure, and perfect, and pleasing to God; nor of his sufferings, which were for the sake of his people;  he was not frustrated nor disappointed of his end.

From the above context we understand that our God will not put His children to shame. God will help you and so you will not be disgraced, before other people. God made a beautiful garden called garden of Eden and put Adam into it. There were all kinds of plants, herbs, and creepers. There were many animals and birds both male and female. But God found that  Adam was alone. So He thought that man should not be alone. Therefore he took a rib from out of his body while he was fast asleep and created a perfect match for him and called her Eve. He gave her to Adam to be his wife. God stood as a strong support in the garden for them.  He visited them at noon time and  spoke to them.

Just as God, stood as a strong support for both Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, He has come down in a marvellous manner to stand as a support to you and your children. For God is mindful and cares for you.  He wants to help you in your life so that you will not be put to shame.  Today you are reading this message hoping that God will help you and will never put you to shame.  Doctors might have told you, “ Look there is no chance for you to give birth to a child.”They might have even told you to adopt a child or even suggested many other methods. But Our Lord will perform supernatural miracles for you.  Such is the nature and greatness of our God.

We read in the Bible  about   Hannah who  faced  much sorrow on that day. Everyone looked at her in disgrace.   But God thought that she had suffered enough and did not wish that she should be put to shame any further so he descended upon her and blessed her with a male child called  Samuel, who later became the Prophet of Israel. Thus God honoured the  faith of  Hannah and made her a happy mother. God who performed a miracle for Hannah and made her a home maker, will also perform a miracle to you in your life.  Hereafter God will stand in favour of you and support you in such a way, that you shall never be put to shame. He is your refuge and strength, A very present help in times of trouble.  May You learn to trust in the Lord who is your help and your shield.  May your heart be steadfast trusting in the Lord. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for standing with us as a strong support and for helping us in times of trouble. Lord we uphold Your name for You will never put us to shame. May we rely on You and not grow weary. Teach us to put our trust on You.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

THE COMFORTER

Dearly Beloved, I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 40:1, 2, “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. “Speak comfort to Jerusalem.”

From the above context we understand that our God comforts those that are burdened with heavy heart. He comforts them like a mother. We often think how special and beloved our mothers are. They are really very dear gift to us. I would like the readers to consider God’s motherly comfort of his people. The Prophet Isaiah gives us the word of the Lord, “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.” Mothers love for you is a spontaneous personal affection. She loved you when you kicked within her womb. She always, fixed her eyes and cares on you. When a child is hurt it is Mom they call for. And this is the kind of comfort being described here in our message.

The Mother usually takes care of her children and finds every way, to comfort her child. She is prepared to sacrifice to any extent for the well being of her child. She is even prepared to lose anything for the welfare of her child. They are willing to spend any amount to save the life of their child, in case they are sick and bed ridden. Mothers usually consider the future of their children more important than their own well being. All that they desire to see, is that, their child does well in life.

Many of you are reading this message with much enthusiasm since it speaks the truth of a good mother. All those who feel dejected and despised by your loved ones, God wants to comfort you just as a mother would comfort you. Some of you may not hold a good job, or may not even earn a good income. May be you are having huge sum of debts and hence living in shame. You might be facing some kind of unpleasant situation in your work spot or in the neighbourhood. God is bringing an end to such situation. God will perform a miracle for you and comfort you. Don’t you worry, God will comfort you.
While Jesus lived on the face of this earth, He personally visited the people, performed miracles and comforted them. There was a widow of the city of Nain. She had a son, when Jesus came near the gate of the city he saw a dead man being carried out to be buried. He was the only son of his mother. She was burdened with a heavy heart. Her only son was dead. She lost all her hope. How could she survive without anyone? When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”Then he touched the coffin and said to the young man, “I say to you, arise.” And he who was dead, sat up and began to speak. And he handed over the young man to his mother. Her sorrow was turned to joy in a moment. He will change your mourning into dancing.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord, for comforting us like a mother. Thank You Lord for helping us to realize the important role a mother plays. Help us to inherit such good qualities from her. May we console and comfort those in distress as God comforted others.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

God will exalt You

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 23:5, “You prepare a table before me in the Presence Of my enemies.”

My Dear Brothers and Sister, from the above passage we come to understand that God is always, ready to   prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. Every good man has his enemies. He would not be like his Lord if he had no enemies at all. Yet we see the quietude of the godly man even in the sight of his enemies, and how refreshing is his calm bravery. And David was one such person. When a soldier is in the presence of his enemies, nothing seems to disturb him, there is no confusion, the enemy is at the door yet God prepares a table and makes you sits down and eats as if everything were in perfect peace. Oh the peace which Jehovah gives to His people even in the midst of the most trying circumstances is inexpressible.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, David experienced the fear of death. He was confronted   by his enemies. King Saul   was possessed by evil spirit. So David the son of Jessie was called to play music in his harp.  And when David played his harp, he would be relieved of the evil spirit or the evil spirit would subside. Since, King Saul knew that David was anointed as the next king of Israel; he was jealous of him and wanted to kill him.  So he threw his spear at him with the desire to kill him. But God saved him from the hands of King Saul several times.  Not once, but he made many attempts to kill him. But the Lord was with David and therefore saved him from the hands of   King Saul.

My Dear brothers and Sisters, similarly David and his body  guard  Abishai,  for fear of Saul, went up the hill of  Hakilah  and hid themselves which faces Jeshimon,  Knowing this, Saul with three  thousand warriors , surrounded the hill in which David was hiding.  So David could not come out of his hideout. He feared that he would be trapped by his enemies, So he cried out to the Living God. He lifted up his voice to God in prayer, asking God to save him from his enemies. The Lord heard his prayer and put king Saul and his three thousand   men into deep sleep.  Such that they never even noticed David take away the spear, and the jar of water, from Saul’s head. And they escaped from the cruel hands of their enemies. Thus God prepared a table before him in the sight of his enemies.  This royal context explains the presence of David’s enemies, as observers at the feast, they almost mocked at him. But David trusted in God and God delivered him from the hands of his enemies at all times. And this victory was the feast David enjoyed before his enemies.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Lord will prepare a table even before you in the presence of your enemies. God will exalt your name in front of those who put you to shame. God will lift your name. He will increase you on every side and comfort you. People might have told that you would never arise from your fallen state. But God says, “Your enemies, will fall down but you will stand erect, and firm.” Hallelujah. ”God will suppress your enemies that rise up against you. Those who afflict you shall never rise up against you. You will search for them but you will never find them.  This is the Lord’s doing and it will be marvellous to your eyes.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Thank you for protecting us and preparing a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Lord You hear us when we cry unto you. Grant unto us the grace to walk in the fear of God. Help us to be careful with our enemies. Never allow us to suffer in their hands.  May we be victorious before them all the days of our life.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

His Mercy Is Everlasting.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Zachariah 2:7, 8 “  Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwells with the daughter of Babylon. For thus says, the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.”

From the above context we understand that our God delivered his children namely the Israelites from the captivity of Babylon and after he attained the glory of God he came into the world to redeem the children of God  from the hands of this world, that is corrupt and evil.  God looks at Zion (The Children of God) and admonishes them to come out of Babylon and not to engage themselves in the lust of the flesh and sinful activities like the people of Babylon.

Prophet Zachariah compares Babylon to that of this world, which has become more like Babylon so wicked and evil in the sight of God. God is worried that no one should pluck his children from his hands. So He says, “For he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.” He considers his children so precious in his sight. The Bible says, “The Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.”God expects his children to walk in the fear of God.  God  is Almighty,  God says,   “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, which was and which is and which is to come, the Almighty” “to whom all power is given in heaven and in earth.”

When king David was in deep distress, he said,  Let us fall into the  hands of the Lord  for his mercy is great. Rather than fall into human hands.”Apostle Paul refers in his Epistle to the Hebrews, saying “Let us approach Gods throne of grace, with confidence, so that we may receive the mercy of God and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

One day a young man came to see me. He said. “Sir, I have committed a sin, but my conscious pricks me. What should I do? Will God forgive me of my sin?’’ So I decided to come to the Prayer Tower, “A place of Refuge”   and ask God to forgive me of all my sins that  I have committed until this day.  He asked me if God would forgive him of all his wicked deeds and give him an opportunity to live a fresh clean life. I told him, “When God could forgive the woman who was caught in the act of adultery and granted her another opportunity to live a fresh life, will he not forgive you, and give you one more opportunity to  live. The tears you have shed is the sign of your repentance.”

This young man was very scared, he even went for blood test to ensure if he was attacked by any disease, due to his sinful habits. I told him,  that if he confessed his sins, God is faithful  and just  to forgive  us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  He confessed to God  with great fear, and since he admitted his faults, and confessed his sins, God changed his tears of sorrow and pain to tears of joy. God gave him a new life. He went home rejoicing.

God expects that you need to fear him. He questions  saying,  A  son honours his father, And a servant his master, If then I am the Father, where is My honour? And if I am a Master, Then where is My  reverence? God commands us to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, and for our survival. The Psalmist says, “ How great is Your goodness which You have stored up for those who fear you?” Therefore  I urge you dear Brothers and Sisters, to fear God at all times to enjoy life of fullness. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank   You for this blessed day. Lord we thank  You for enlightening us,  about Your power and Your supremacy. That You are Almighty God. Help us to fear You with all humbleness of heart. May we learn to live a God fearing life and not involve in sinful ways. Teach us to come out of the captivity of Babylon, and live a life acceptable in the sight of God.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
