Horn Of Salvation

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has   given   for  you  today  is  from the book of  Luke 1:74,75, “ To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In Holiness and righteousness, before  Him all the days of our life.”

My dear brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand, that the God of Israel, has raised up a horn of Salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ,  to redeem the people from the hands of our enemies. The enemy indicates the devil who constantly fights against us. The devil caused Eve to sin against God as a result both   Adam and Eve lost  the  form of godliness, and also lost the connection they had with God. They lost the wonderful experience of moving with God, in the Garden of Eden because they deceived them easily to sin against God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, you too might be easily deceived by satan to commit some mistake and go far away from God. The Bible says, “Your iniquities have separated you, from your God.  And your sins have hidden His face from you so that   He will not hear.’’ Therefore you ought to be careful not to sin against   God.  God therefore sent His only begotten son that whoever believed in his name shall not perish but be saved. He came to save all those who are caught up in sin and shame. Hence decorate your hearts, rather than your house with good deeds. Be pure, holy and perfect in all that you do. Never do that which is displeasing to God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the gospel shows that we were once utterly in the dark but the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ appeared to give light to those that sit in the darkness. It is reviving. It brings light to those that sit in the shadow, of death as condemned prisoners, in the dungeon. It is to direct and guide our feet , in the way of peace. The above verses  refers to the Promise of God, regarding His mercy, His covenant, and oath.  The prophet Isaiah foretold the birth of  Christ  saying , “’ For unto us a Child is born. Unto us a Son is given. And the government shall be upon His shoulder. His   name   will   be  called  wonderful,   Counselor,   Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Thus Christ came into this world to deliver us from all our enemies both worldly and spiritually.

Prayer:  Our  loving  heavenly Father,  we thank  You for this blessed day.   Thank You Lord for sending Your son Jesus Christ into this world to deliver us from all our enemies and redeem us from sin and shame. Help us to come out of darkness into that marvellous Light. Teach us to serve the Lord without fear in Holiness and Righteousness.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

The God of Israel

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has   given   for you today is from the book of Psalms 121:4, “ Behold He who keeps Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers.”

My dear brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand, that the Lord is our keeper. And He never sleeps, “He that keeps Israel’’ also refers to Jacob, who slept at Bethel and to whom the promise of God took this form, and said. “ Behold I am with you, and will keep you in all the places wherever you go.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, A man sleeps, a watchman may sleep due to weariness. A pilot too may slumber at the helm; even a mother may fall asleep by the side of her sick child. But God is never exhausted. Is never weary, is never inattentive. He never closes His eyes, on the condition, of his people and on the wants of the world. He that keeps Israel is your keeper. The Shepherd of the flock is the shepherd of every sheep. And He will take care that none of the little ones shall perish. God will never allow your house to suffer by any silent intruder. He is ever on the watch. And speedily perceives every intruder.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, we read in the Bible that Jacob (Israel) fell asleep. But His God was awake. Jacob had neither walls, nor curtains, nor body guards around him, but the Lord was in that place though Jacob knew it not. God keeps us as a rich man keeps his treasures, as a captain keeps a city with a garrison, as a royal, guard keeps his monarchs head.

My dear brothers and Sisters, Abraham took his wife Sarah and travelled to Shechem in Canaan. Sarah was beautiful to look at.  Since he was afraid of the king, he told him that she was his sister so Abimelech king of Shechem,  carried away Sarah the wife of Abraham. Abraham   did not know what to do. He was scared and helpless. He feared as to what would become of his wife Sarah. Abraham spent that night in tears. God who was watching Abraham said to him, “Don’t be afraid, behold I am with You.”God Himself dealt with the problem. He intervened on behalf of Abraham who was his friend, and warned Abimelech in a dream not to touch Sarah the wife of Abraham. So King Abimelech did not touch   Sarah.  What a good God we have!

My dear Brothers and Sisters, Often God, deals silently and secretly with our problems and rescues us from our enemies. Hence we need to realize that we are living peacefully and safely in this world, because God is fighting for us each day of our lives from the plans of the evil one. He sends his Angels to attend on us, guard us and protect us.  May the Lord help you to rely on Him for all your needs. Commit your ways unto the Lord, trust also on Him and He shall direct your steps. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.   Lord we thank you for your hand of protection.   You deal secretly with all our problems and help us to live freely and peacefully.  Teach us to depend on you completely. May we cast all our cares upon You.  Thank You Lord for, You keep a watch over us and never sleep. Father help us to be wise and very cautious in this world.

 In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God Gives Grace

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God   has   given   for   you today is from the book of Proverbs 3:34, “ Surely  He  scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.’’

My dear brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand, that the Lord is so concerned about His children. God exalts those who humble themselves before God. Humbleness is one of the characteristics of good personality. May be you are lacking this quality in   life. Until yesterday you might have been a proud person. Pride has blinded your eyes from doing the right things. Therefore you have been caught up in one problem or another. God wants to help you live a good and peaceful life. He wants you to progress or move forward in your life. He wants you to be successful in your life. His mercy is very essential to lead   a good life.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, make a decision to put away pride. Be not haughty or short tempered. The Bible says, behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him.  He transgresses by wine, for he is a proud man. And He does not stay at home. He enlarges his desire and cannot be satisfied. He heaps up for himself. Ask God to forgive you of your pride. Say Lord I humble myself before you, Like Mary teach me to be humble. She said,  ”Behold the maid servant of the Lord ! Let it be to me according to your word.”She humbled  herself to the lord and therefore she found favour in HIS sight to carry the baby  Jesus  in her womb.  Similarly you are going to hold many good things in your hand. You may even carry a holy generation in your womb.

My Dear Brothers and  Sisters, you need to turn to God to receive new mercies from God. Place your family, your children, your business, at the feet of the  Lord. You need to pray for your needs and be thankful to God for all His blessings. Begin the day with prayer. With Jesus in the family makes a happy, happy home. If Jesus lives in your home then there will be rejoicing all the days of your life. If you need to live without being destroyed and if you need to rejoice all the days of your life, then you need to be satisfied by His new mercies  every morning. That is why Moses cries unto the Lord saying,  “Oh satisfy us early with your mercy, That we may rejoice all the days of our life according to days, in which you have afflicted   us. The years in  which we have seen evil.”

My dear brothers and sisters,   It is true that you are working hard to enjoy a happy secured life, Therefore you are sacrificing many things in life in order to enjoy a peaceful life. So you need to beg unto the Lord for new mercies each day of your life especially in the early morning. When you search for God in the early morning you will receive his blessings and you will be successful in all your endeavours throughout the day. Never think of a life without Jesus Christ. His faithfulness is new every morning. Hallelujah!  He will accompany you wherever you go, guide you and protect you. He will   bless the work of your hands and prosper you. Only then you will be able to live a happy life according to the days you had been afflicted. God will do supernatural miracles in your life and you will receive protection. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Thank You for helping us to know the value of being humble in our lives. Lord have pity on us, and take away our shame and failures. Help us to see better days in life. Give us days of prosperity according to the days of our poverty. Touch us and bless us and our children that we may enjoy the days of our life. . In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

The Saviour

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, From the above context we understand that Jesus Christ himself was truly man and the messiah. He came from heaven into this world having been sent by the Father and with the full consent and good will of his own. And those who desire to see Christ, like Zaccheus  will break through  all opposition and take pain to see him. Christ invited himself to Zaccheus’ house. Wherever Christ comes he opens the heart and inclines it to receive him.  He that has a mind to know Christ shall be known of him. Those whom Christ calls must humble themselves   and come down. And should be able to receive him joyfully, who brings all good things with him.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Zaccheus   gave   proof publicly that he had become a true convert. He does not pretend like the Pharisees, but through the grace of God he shows the sincerity of faith and repentance. Zaccheus is considered to be a happy man, for now he is turned from his sins, and   all   the benefits of salvation will come to him. Christ comes to his house, and where Christ comes he brings salvation with him. He came into this lost world to seek and to save it. The purpose and design of Jesus was to save, when there was no salvation in any other.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost. Like the lost sheep from its fold. There were ninety nine that safely lay in the shelter of the fold. But one was away on the hills away. Far from the gates, of   the farm  house  away  on  the mountains. Jesus once told the story of the good shepherd, who went in search of the lost sheep leaving the remaining ninety nine, in the safety of the fold. When we recollect the incident of David, the shepherd boy, we find that he would run to protect the sheep from the bear and the lion. He looked after the flock of his seven brothers. Though he was the youngest He was strong, brave, and trusted God. Once a lion pulled a lamb away but he grabbed the beast and killed it. Likewise he killed the bear that attacked his flock.  David knew that God had helped him. When evening came, David, would play on his shepherd’s pipe, and would call them back to the fold. This implicates how Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank  you because You came to seek and  to save that which was lost.  Thank you for your free gift of salvation. Teach us to be like Zaccheus who desired to see Jesus. And so Jesus not only lifted up his eyes and looked up to him seated on the sycamore tree, but also   visited his house himself and announced   salvation into his house. Help us also to enjoy the presence of God in our lives like Zaccheus.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Your Word Gives Me Life

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of, Psalms 119:92, “Unless your law had been My delight I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts. For by them You have given me life.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the psalmist would have perished in his affliction if he had not been comforted by God’s word. Yes, dear children of God when sorrows increase in your life, when anguish increases in your life, you will have to hold on to the word of God in order to sustain life. Surely these words have power to take form. When the Lord gave good word to Mary the word came to life. When the Lord gave good word to Manoah and his wife, the word came to life. He is a God who speaks by His mouth and performs by his hands. God has given us His word, The Bible” to comfort us in times of tribulation.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, That word which has preserved the heavens and the earth, also preserves the people of God in their time of trial. Gods word is a delight to us. This takes a double delight when all other delights are taken away from us. We should have died in our grief if the spiritual comforts of God’s word had not uplifted us. But because of their sustaining influence we have been able to bear all the depressions and despairs which naturally grow out of severe affliction. David thus speaks of his distressful condition he was in, when he was persecuted by Saul and he was compelled to hide himself, in the rocks and caves of the earth.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, It is very likely that he had the book of Gods law with him, by the reading of which he mitigated and allayed his sorrows and kept himself pure instead of indulging in worldly superstitions. The word of God is a precious medicine to keep Gods people from perishing in times of affliction. This even upheld Jacob from sinking when his brother Easu came against him furiously to destroy him. He actually reminded God about His word, saying, I will surely do thee good.As a result the promise of God supported him.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, similarly the word of God will surely support you in times of affliction. Make God’s word as a lamp to your feet, And a light to your path. May God help you to see the many wondrous things from the word of God. Like David, put all your hope in the ordinances of God and keep his law continually. For he knew the life giving energy of the word in his own soul. Delight in Gods word and He will give you the desires of your heart. For the Bible says, blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank for your precious word. It comforts us at times of trials. May we delight in the word of God and be blessed. Help us to give priority to the word of God in our lives. Teach us to keep your testimonies and not forget your word. May we hear the word and obey it too. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
