My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Matthew 7:11, ” If you then being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your father which in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we do understand, that in the midst of all our evil, there is still that element of natural and pure affection. Which makes the father hood of men a fit parable of the Fatherhood of God. As all mankind in general, are both by nature and practice, they are conceived in sin, shapen in iniquity, are evil from their youth, they are corrupt and do abominable things. But the Bible says, even such people know how to give good gifts, to their children. They give their best to their children though it costs them much.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, When these evil parents can afford to give good gifts to their children, how much more shall your Father who is omniscient and omnipotent knows your need and will bless you with His choicest blessings.
The Bible says, God gives all good things to them that ask him. The context shows that the “good things” are spiritual gifts. The wisdom, and insight which we all need or rather the one gift of the holy spirit. Not only temporal gifts, as meat, drink and clothing but all spiritual good things, every supply of grace, all things, pertaining, to life and godliness. Spiritual gifts include grace, everything that is necessary for the spiritual and eternal good of his people. But to receive these gifts one must inquire of and seek after, and ask God for them. For every one who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks the door will be opened.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God expects us to ask him when we are in need. He says, “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive that your joy may be complete.” He further urges us to ask by saying, “Whatever you ask in My name, This I will do. That the Father may be glorified in the son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” Also we need to believe that if we ask God in prayer, we will receive it and it will be granted to us. May the Lord help you to ask Him when you are in need. David in his Psalms says, “To You all flesh will come, For you hear prayer.” God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank you because you hear our prayer. Teach us to ask you when we are in need of help. Thank you for the gifts that you have bestowed upon us, both spiritual and temporal. Though we are sinful in nature, yet you consider us and guide us in the way we should go. Bless us Lord , with Your Divine Spirit that we live in tune with God.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 51:22, “See I have taken out of your hand, The cup of trembling ,the dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it. “But I will put into the hand of those who afflict you.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters from the above context we understand that, God can change the very situation of your life. He will change the evil situation for your goodness. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us. For He is a wonder working God. He does great things, and unsearchable, Marvellous things, wonders beyond numbers. God changed the evil that came upon Job, for his goodness. God changed his sorrow into joy. The Lord restored Job’s losses and gave him twice as much as he had before. For He is a God who saves the needy from the sword, in their mouth. He saves them from the clutches of the powerful.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I wish to share an incident that took place in the life of a sister, who came to me for prayer. I think she did not have money at that time so she took some gold and thrust it into my hands. Even before I could realize, she was out of sight. Some months later, I met her again in another meeting. She said to me that she was falsely accused and she was about to be arrested. She was quite scared. But one thing that she said almost touched my heart. She was a teacher, so she said, “My students will be in search of me.” She was a responsible and dedicated teacher but unfortunately she was accused. I prayed sincerely for her. God brought about a great change in her life. God said , as prophesy, “’There will be an elevation and through you My name shall be glorified.”’ After some days, I came to know that the very person who cunningly trapped her into this difficult situation was himself arrested and sentenced to jail. Halleluiah!
My Dear brothers and Sisters, The Bible says, “See I have taken out of your hand, The cup of trembling, the dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it. “But I will put into the hand of those who afflict you.” According to this verse, God punished the person who afflicted her. Isn’t this amazing? He will turn the table upside down for you. God will even change the evil for your goodness. From the beginning of time, it has been said that God is good. He is good to us in so many ways. He listens to our thoughts and prayers. He keeps us from harm and always does good things to all. He does not know to do evil. God is going to fill your house with all good things. He will open the treasures of heaven, and bless you. God prepared the tasty wine in order to serve you and nurture you for His purpose. Hence put your trust in the Lord, for the Lord upholds all those who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down. Happy are the people whose God is the Lord.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for changing even the evil for our goodness. Thank you for filling our houses with good things. Thank you for telling us that you will protect us from all our foes. We will not be the victim but will be the victor always. Teach us to realize that You are a God, who opens a way where there is no way. Be a strong support to us O lord. Never forsake us or forget us.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Deuteronomy 26:7-9 , “And when we cried unto the Lord, God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that flows with milk and honey”.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context, we come to understand that the Egyptians mistreated the people of Israel, and afflicted them, putting them to hard labor. So the people of Israel called out to the Lord. The God of their fathers. So the Lord heard their voice and saw their misery, toil, and oppression. In the same manner, our God who hears us respects our voice. Maybe your husband, wife, children or co-workers at your workplace may not respect your voice. But God will hear your voice.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the beginning, the people of Israel, did not realize the sufferings and agony they had to experience in the land of Egypt. But gradually things changed. The treatment meted out to these people began increasing, day after day. The manner in which they were treated was beyond expression. They were ill-treated and oppressed severely. Only then they realized that a change was necessary for their lives. They also believed that only God could bring about change. Therefore they cried out to God. God heard their cry, he quickly prepared a deliverer called Moses, anointed him and sent him to Egypt, to deliver His people. God brought the people of Israel out of Egypt to Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, under the leadership of Moses, by performing signs and wonders. Thus God delivered His people.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, maybe you are being afflicted in your family. All are treating you with great shame and dishonor. They are causing great distress to you and torturing you very badly. At this point in time, you need to cry out to God like the Israelites and tell out your problems to the Lord. God will come down in a marvelous manner and perform a miracle for you today. He will deliver and rescue you from all your problems with His mighty hand and outstretched arm. He will cause you to shine in your life before all those who ill-treated you. He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill; that He may set him with princes, even with the princes of His people. So cheer up.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our cry and respecting our voice. We also thank You for saving us from the hands of the evil doers. Guard us and protect us from all our foes and those who cause trouble to us. Help us to see better days in our life according to the days wherein we have been afflicted.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given you today is from the book of Isaiah 49:15, “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” God cares for you and He promises that He will never leave you. He will not let any harm come your way.
A mother will never do anything that will harm her child. She takes good care and meets all the needs of her child to keep him/her happy. She will never let her child down in front of others even if her child does any mistake. When an earthly mother cares for her child so dearly, how much more will your heavenly Father care for you.
I would like to share a true incident. A mother was holding her three-month-old baby in her arms. As she was very tired, she sat on the floor and kept the child on her lap. Being tired, she fell asleep. The baby from her lap rolled down to the floor. The mother woke immediately, carried the child in her arms and thanked God for protecting the child from getting hurt in spite of her falling asleep. This is how God cares and protects you too. Your parents may provide you with all that you want. Even if they are not able to provide your needs, the God who created you watches over you day and night, knows your needs and will provide for you accordingly.
Some of you might have lost your loved ones and may say, “There is no one to care for me, no one who loves me”. The Lord says in Psalms 121:4, “He never sleeps nor slumbers”. Jesus watches over you day and night. He will protect you as the apple of His eye. Do not be disheartened if you do not have your loved ones by your side. Call unto Jesus whenever you need a friend to talk to. He will listen to all your problems and will be with you wherever you go. Your happiness and well-being are precious to Him. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I pray that You bless Your dear children and guide them in the way they should go. Be their father and mother and protect them in Your bosom. Be with them and guide them. In Jesus name, we pray,
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 2:10, And he said to him, Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then that which is inferior, but you have kept the good wine till now”.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the guests at the wedding of Cana expressed their gratitude to the owner of the house saying that it was surprising to notice that he had kept the good wine till the end of the wedding party, that no one returned without tasting the wine. We know that there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus his mother and his disciples were invited to the wedding banquet. And when the owner of the house ran out of wine the mother of Jesus said to Him, “ They have no wine.” When the appointed time came, Jesus said to his disciples, fill the six waterpots of stone, with water.”And they filled the waterpots with water. And they filled the water pots up to the brim. And He said to them, Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast and they took it to him. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from. Then he called the bridegroom and said to him the above statement, John 2:10 , “And he said to him, Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then that which is inferior, but you have kept the good wine till now.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This was the first miracle that God performed during His ministry. The Lord Jesus Christ obeyed His mother when she cautioned him saying that the wine was running out at the wedding of Cana. He not only obeyed his mother but also he waited for the appointed time to perform the miracle. When the time came the Lord Jesus changed the ordinary water into tasty wine. Serving wine at the wedding was considered as a prestigious custom in those days, for the Jewish people served tasty wine during the wedding occasion. And if they failed to serve the wine it was a great humiliation to the master’s house. Hence by performing this miracle God prevented the master of the house from being put to shame. God changed his shame to praise.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Bible says, I will appoint them for praise and fame, where they were put to shame. I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth. God wants you to be blessed. He says I am the Lord your God, and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. God does not want his children to be put to shame in any way. He wants to give you beauty for ashes. Yes, God cares for you. Today God is serving you HIS WORD as the tasty wine that you might drink of it and be blessed. Because He sends His word and heals you. He opens His hand and satisfies every longing soul.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, are you struggling in your life? Is there a problem with your relationship? Have you lost your job? Is your boss being rude with you? What is your problem? Look to Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith. He will solve your problem right now. He will wipe away your tears. God is going to change your house into a good vine plant, that would produce tasty wine. He will change your sorrow into joy. God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for revealing to us the importance of family life, by performing your first miracle at the wedding of Cana. Thank you Lord for changing our shame into praise. For answering our prayers and, blessing us with your powerful word. Teach us to increase our faith and believe that you are a God of Miracles. Help our family to grow like the vine tree. In Jesus name, we pray.
Amen.
