The Appointed Time

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the  book of, 2 Kings 4:16,17  , “Then He said, About this  time, next year, you shall embrace a Son. And the woman conceived,  and  bore a son when the appointed time had come of which Elisha had told her”.

About this season according to the time of life, which means about this time next year, The Shunammite, woman would embrace a son.  The Shunammite was from a place called Shunam. She was a notable woman.  Whenever  the  prophet  Elisha passed her town, she constrained him to eat some food, at her place. And therefore the man of God, often turned in there to eat some food. With the consent of her husband, she made a  small upper room, and placed a bed for him there, and a table, and a chair, and a lamp stand. Then as usual Elisha came up to her upper room, and while he was about to leave he wanted to do something in return for the hospitality she had shown to the prophet and his servant. So he called for her and learnt through Gehazi  his  servant,  that her husband was old, and she did not have a son. This was the only thing that she lacked in her life. Then he spoke the above words to her as a blessing. The Shunammite woman had received this prophet in the name of a prophet, and therefore she received a prophet’s reward. The mercy of God was shown to her in answer to a prophet’s prayer.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, how do you consider a prophet? Do you give pre-eminence to the prophets? The Bible says,“ Believe  in  the Lord your God and you shall be established”. Believe his prophets and you shall prosper.”

The Bible clearly emphasises that we should, honour a prophet. The Shunammite woman  honoured the prophet and so she was blessed.

My dear brothers and sisters are you going through some sort of misunderstanding with your spouse? Are you busy looking out for a permanent job? Have you lost your loved one and therefore burdened in your heart? Has your spouse forsaken you? Are you troubled because of  a serious financial crisis? Or is your business a failure? Well it’s high time for you to look up to God and His servant the prophet. Cheer up my Brothers and Sisters, for the Bible says, O You who hear prayer, To you all flesh will come. Asa Cried out to the Lord and He answered him. Jonah said, “I cried out to the Lord, because of my affliction. And He answered me.  Jabez cried out to the Lord, and God granted him what he had requested. God will grant your request, if you seek Him diligently. He is a God who hears your supplications. The Lord takes pleasure in His people, He will beautify the humble, with salvation. He will fulfil the desire of those who fear Him. He will hear their cry, and save them.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our   loving   heavenly  Father, we  thank   You   for   this  blessed day.   Lord You are a God who will do all things perfectly in due time.   Our times and seasons are in your hands. Lord be our fort and refuge. Lord without You we have no other way to go.  Lord  make our harvest  ready, take pity on us one more time and open the doors of the treasures of heaven. And pour out Your blessings.   In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Days of Prosperity

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that  God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the  book of, Luke 21:30, ” When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now  near”.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, in the life of every individual, one event comes after another. We see a pattern of events repeating themselves. After a period of harvest, there comes a period of adversity, and thereafter emerges the period of summer (the time of prosperity). Usually the summer season comes after the autumn season. May be you are passing through the autumn season. But soon your summer season will begin, and you will shoot up in all aspects of your life.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,  In case you think that nothing good has happened in your life so long, or you are like a dry and parched tree. Or maybe you feel like a withered tree then never forget that good days are ahead of you. Summer season will surely come in your life and you will bloom.   The Bible says, In the days,  of prosperity be joyful. But in the days of adversity consider. Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other. The Lord is able to change the evil days of your life into good days. From days of poverty to days  of  prosperity.  If you have been living a life of distress, and trouble, God will change this period into good and pleasant life. God expects that his children live happily during the time of their life.  God has given us the freedom to enjoy all things during the course of our life time according to the scripture.

In order to encourage you in your faith   I would like to share the testimony of a sister who attended our “Fasting Prayer Meeting” . She said that her daughter was an assistant professor and she tried several proposals for her daughter   but nothing happened. So she came to me for prayer. I placed my hand on her head and said, “A boy by the name of Sam   will come to propose your daughter, and she will soon get settled.” That sister came back and said, that within a few days a proposal came by the name of  Samuel  called  Sam  and  her  daughter got married  on the 12th of May.  Isn’t it a miracle?  See how faithful God has been to her ?   Won’t   this  God who did a miracle for this  Sister do wonders in your life?  Just Believe.  He will   surely perform a miracle for you. God answered her prayers after many years of waiting. Therefore God does everything perfectly in its time.    From today, you will see a change in your life. Whether it is regarding to your education, marriage, job or obtaining a Visa. Whatever it may be  the Lord will do all things, perfectly in its time.  So cheer up in the Lord . He will bless you in due season.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our   loving   heavenly Father, we   thank   You   for  this  blessed day.  Lord   help us  to see   days  of  prosperity   during the course of our life. Bless us according to the days wherein we have been afflicted.  Enlarge our territory.  Let   your  hand  be  with  us.  Keep us away from evil. So  that we may not  experience pain in our life.  May  we see  days  of prosperity.  In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Stand Firm in the Lord

My dear brothers   and sisters   in Christ,   I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Ruth 1:16, But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely,  if even death separates you and me.” When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

The above context shows the intimate relationship between Ruth and Her mother in law Naomi. Naomi went with her husband and her two sons to Moab from Bethlehem as there was a famine in the Land. Suddenly her husband died and she somehow managed to live with her sons peacefully. She got them married with Moabites women. During the course of time her two sons also died leaving their young wives as widows. It was a miserable and painful moment for Naomi. So she decided to leave Moab and return back to Bethlehem. She was so frustrated in life that she called her daughter in laws and asked them to return to their father’s house.

Orpah kissed her  mother in law  and went to her home.  But  Ruth refused to return to her father’s house.  She held on to her mother in law firmly and said, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” She held on to Naomi because she loved Jesus. Since she came along with Ruth, God blessed her abundantly. She worked for Boaz a rich man, in his farm and found grace in the eyes of Boaz. Later she got married to him. God rejuvenated her life once again. She was like a dry parched tree but God made her bloom.  God rewarded her for her faithfulness  to  her mother in law. God is a righteous God.  Orpah’s story ended after she left Naomi.   But the story of Ruth continues.  The book of Ruth in the Bible, speaks volumes about her goodness. Therefore God blessed her with a son   Obed, through whose genealogy Jesus was born. Thus God blessed the latter part of their life, both Naomi and Ruth.

Dear Brothers and Sisters I urge you to hold on to Jesus the way Ruth held onto her mother in law.  Then your life will be prosperous. He makes all things new. God says, I will gird you, though you have not   known Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other, I make peace. I the Lord do all these things.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly  Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank  You Lord for teaching us to hold on to Lord Jesus   Christ.  Help us to be like Ruth who never forsook her mother in law   even in her old age.  May  we   share the love of God with others in our life.  Teach  us to be humble and long suffering so that we may attain God’s grace. In Jesus Name we pray.

Amen.

God of Counsel

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I waited upon the Lord, the blessed word that the Lord gave me to bless you today is from the book of Hebrews 13:5, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Our God is a God of Counsel. The above words express His good counseling to the church of the Hebrews. He gives counseling in-order that you might not be forsaken by God.

No matter what situation you are going through, He will guide and lead you to live a perfect life. What he expects of you is to be content with what you have and to be thankful to God for all that He has blessed you with. God admonishes you not to be covetous and desirous to amass wealth.

Today many people are not happy with what they have. They are not satisfied with the salary they get or the Job they do. Often people think that they can achieve anything with money. But that’s not true. Money cannot buy all things. Money is the root of all sins. Unknowingly, people get trapped into a lot of problems just because of their greed to want to live a sophisticated life. This should not happen in your life. Learn to ask the Lord for whatever you need. The Lord will give you everything you ask for, in His name.

God Bless You.

 Prayer:

Our Loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. I pray that You may bless Your dear children. Guide them and teach them in the way they should go. Father, help Your children to obey Your counsel and lead a fruitful life. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
