The King is in the midst of you

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of Numbers 23:21, “The Lord His God is with him and the shout of a king is among them.”

My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the people of Israel did commit sin.  But God had no intention to punish them. Instead He forgave them of their sinful nature. In fact God hid His face from sin. God blotted out all their transgressions and has cast them behind His back and into the depths of the sea. The Lord was pleased with them as they did not worship the idols.  And this restricted God from cursing the people of Israel.

The Lord was with Baalam the prophet.  Though King Balak invited Prophet Balaam to curse the people of Israel, The Lord intervened, and changed the heart of Balaam and he obeyed God. As a result God made Balaam to bless the twelve tribes of Israel. He remembered how, God brought them out of Egypt in a marvellous manner and strengthened them like a wild ox. Balaam realized that the God of Israel was in the midst of them. “The Lord God was with Balaam and the shout of the King was felt among them. ”God changed their curse into a blessing.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, If the King who was in the midst of Israel comes into your homes then all your sorrows , your grief, pain, sickness and woes will be driven away from your homes. Today the King wants to visit your homes. Are you willing to receive Him? If you receive Him who is the king of kings and the  Lord of Lords then there will be a great transformation in your lives. Experience the Presence of God in your lives.  You will enjoy peace and harmony.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our   loving   heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.   Thank You for being in the midst of us and operating our lives in the way You have planned it to be. Lord intervene in our lives  and change  our curse into a blessing. Help us to do the will of God and not be self  oriented.   In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God’s Tabernacle

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from Psalm 84:1, “How lovely is your Tabernacle. O Lord of hosts! Even your   altars,   O Lord of Hosts,   My King   and My God”.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters , we see how the psalmist  David,  says, How lovely is your tabernacle! David actually seemed to have written this psalm when he was forced by his son Absalom’s rebellion to quit the city. And David lamented over his absence from the city as it spoiled the harmony of his communion with God. Divine worship were performed in the tabernacle   as it was the dwelling place of God. The Holy of  Holies, the holy place, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering.

My Dear Brothers  and  Sisters , today we see a mad rush after lovely things of this world.  But the Psalmist says, “How lovely is Your tabernacle.! Yes when  such people  who go after the things of this world suddenly get entangled  with  the snare of this world. At such times people approach the holy tabernacle. The only place that  can solve ones  problem. If there is a place of refuge for the sick   and the diseased   then it is the  tabernacle. David was  left alone feels  so distressed . Sometimes we are left alone to face the challenges  in life. You too might be facing similar situation in your life. You might have been rejected by everyone. And therefore you are looking out for a city of refuge. Then  I earnestly request you to approach the tabernacle. If one approaches the tabernacle   he  will  experience  the  goodness  of God in his life. Never forget that God is in control of your life. He will lift you up from the miry clay and set your feet upon the rock. He will put a new song in your mouth and all your crooked ways, shall be straightened.

God will raise you out of your lowly position and lift you out of the ash heap and enable you to sit along with  the princes. This indicates that God will elevate your position to a better status in life. Therefore don’t lose your hope in God. He is a God who gives life to the dead, and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. Believe in this God and you will find a great change in your life.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our   loving   heavenly Father,   we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for revealing to us the  greatness of the tabernacle of God. Help us to approach the tabernacle when we are in trouble.   May we experience the  holiness of Your  Sanctuary,  Revive our hearts, mind and soul. Teach us to experience  the  relationship  with  God and commune with Him each day of our life.  In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God grants perfect Peace

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Isaiah 26:3 , “You will keep him in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

My  Dear  Brothers and  Sisters, in order for us to have peace,  all we need  to do is to focus our minds on the Lord,   then we begin to trust in Him and His power. This wonderful promise was given to Isaiah when Israel, was going through its darkest period. We see even today, that many people are surrounded by much gloominess, and depression and when we are constantly threatened with the three great enemies of doubt, fear and worry, we need to keep our minds fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ and realize how precious and comforting these words become to us.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,  God is telling you to cling on to Him firmly from this day onwards. At times you might have been unsuccessful in achieving your goals.  And   this may be because you had  left Jesus behind. But from now on you hold on to Him.  Then you will find a progress in your life. God is not happy with those who backslide from the Lord. The Bible says, “For a righteous man fall seven times and yet he rises again.” The Peace which God offers is very practical. And this can be experienced by us through His grace.  And this peace can be attained by trusting our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul through his letters encourages the Philippians to rejoice in the Lord always.  He says,  “ Rejoice  in the Lord always, and I say again rejoice.” Let your gentleness be evident to all. For the Lord is near, therefore do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanks giving present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ procured peace for us, upon the cross of  Calvary, and that peace is conveyed to our hearts  and minds by the Holy Spirit,  as stated in the Bible.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love,  joy peace, forbearance, kindness,  goodness and faithfulness.  Further the Bible says, Great peace  have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, God gives us a guarantee that if we will walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, He will keep our hearts, in perfect peace. If we do our part, then He will do His part. Then you will have good success.

God Bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank  You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for having   procured   peace  for us on the cross of Calvary. Teach us to keep Your commandments.  Help us to cling  on   to   You  O Lord,  for all our needs.  Be  with  us  and guide us in our day  to day life.  May we enjoy the fruit of the spirit in our life. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God the Father

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Joel 2:12“ “Now therefore says, the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart,  with fasting,  with weeping, and with mourning.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, In John 1:12, we read that to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. God the Father wants us to be His children. He says, I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings. Just as a Father has compassion on     His children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. This is the nature of a Father.

When the prodigal son returned to his father,  we see the graciousness of the Father overshadowing the sinfulness of the son; as it is the memory of the Father’s goodness that brings the prodigal son back home. There are some who for their own selfish reason backslide and draw themselves away from the presence of God. When they go away from God, devil tries to attack them. They might be well educated Medical students or Engineers. But suddenly such students get caught up in depression. This happens when one goes away from the Lord. Then the devil takes possession of such people. You should never give such an opportunity for the devil to take possession of you. This is the moment you fall into sinful things and lose the glory of God.

Back sliding can cause disastrous consequences. The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways. He may simply fall back through neglect by not praying, reading  the Bible, and not keeping his focus on living for God, It can bring dishonour to the one who laid down His life for us (Jesus Christ).

But the Lord to such people gives an invitation saying, Return to Me with all your heart. In order to revive, the spirit of the lowly,  And to revive the heart of the contrite. “Return backsliding Israel, says the Lord. And I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful” says, the Lord.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God’s merciful purpose to His people is to revive and to restore. God calls us back to himself. God demonstrated His love for us through the death of His son. Even today check your life. Have you gone away from the Lord. Repent today and return back to Him.  For God is merciful with the merciful, and with a blameless man He will show Himself blameless. Accept Jesus as your saviour. Don’t neglect or postpone this opportunity.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Dear Lord if anyone has backslidden  I pray You to be merciful to them. Forgive them of their sinful nature and cause them to reconcile with  You.  Help them  to cherish your goodness rather than  submit themselves to worldly pleasures.   May they experience the glory of God in their lives.  In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Jesus Comforts You

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that   God  has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  2 Corinthians 1:3, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. “

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  “Blessed be to God” is an ascription of praise and glory to God. God  is  exceedingly  merciful. He delights in showing mercy to poor and miserable people, and is rich and plenteous in exercising His mercy. Not only is our God merciful  but  He is a God of spiritual comfort.  Whatever comfort or consolation the saints enjoy comes directly from God, the Father of Christ.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus says, I will not leave you as orphans. I will    come to  You.  God comforts  us in all our tribulation  that we may be able to comfort those who are in trouble. Just as Job was tested,  sometimes God allows you to go through trials and temptation. And through this God wants you to trust and rely on Him for all your needs. Therefore you need to fix your eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Thus we are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy.  And  find  grace  to  help in time of need. The Lord is able to give peace to the troubled conscience and to calm the raging passions of the soul.

It is  the  nature  of God  to look after  His people. That is why we call Him , ”Our Father”.  Our   God   heals  the  broken  hearted  and  binds up their wounds.  Apostle Paul had been aware of how God had helped   him   while  he  was  almost  at the verge of death,  while ministering in Asia, in Macedonia and other places.  In all these experiences Paul realised that God was constantly with him,   to help him and support him.  During these difficult experiences,   Paul saw that God was using him to help other people too.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,  God  can   use  you also for His purpose.  God will bring many people into a right relationship with Himself through you.   Through Paul’s work God was making other brethrens much stronger. They very much needed the strength and courage that only God can give. If you depend on God then God will be your refuge and strength.  A  very  present help in trouble. The God of Jacob will be your refuge. God comforted , Mary and Martha over the death of Lazarus. The Lord prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah , that it might be shade for his head to comfort  him  from  his  misery. And Jonah was very grateful for the  plant. This is how God comforts His children. David says, This is my comfort in my affliction,  for your word has given me life.  God  will  comfort  you  also  in  a  similar  way.

May the Lord bless you.

Prayer:

Our   loving   heavenly Father,   we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for comforting us through your word. Lord you heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds especially when your children go through sufferings. We do realize that You comfort those in distress.  Help us also to comfort others.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen
