A Heart of Forgiveness

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Colossians.3:13 “Bearing with one another, and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other, as the Lord has forgiven you, So you must also forgive.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that it is highly important to forgive others as we have been forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ. With the grace and mercy shown to us we are always, able to start new life with God. When we repent of our sins, we are given full forgiveness of our sins because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God commands that in return we need to forgive others and extend grace as we have been shown grace. Forgiving others may be one of the hardest things we face in life. The pain and hurt that others have caused us in our life is simply great and beyond expression. But when we forgive others we are not saying what others did was ok, but we are releasing them to God, and letting go of it’s hold on us. May God therefore help us to forgive others and set right our relationship with God.

My Dear brothers and Sisters, We see in the Bible, how Jesus forgave a woman taken in adultery. A group of scribes confronted Jesus, in order to interrupt His teaching session in the temple. They brought in a woman accusing her of committing adultery. Claiming that she was caught in the very act. They wanted to stone her to death as a punishment for her wrong behaviour. At first Jesus ignored their interruption and wrote on the ground, as though He did not hear them.

But when the accusers continued their challenge he quietly stated that the one who had not committed any sin should cast the first stone at her. Then the accusers and congregants departed realising that none of them were without sin, leaving behind Jesus alone with the woman. So Jesus asked the woman if anyone had condemned her. She said to Him “No one Lord.” Then Jesus said to her, ”Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.” This is how Jesus forgave the woman.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, What about you, have you forgiven your foes ? Has anyone damaged your good spirit? You were kind and helpful to others, but those whom you trusted have cheated you. They might have spoken wrongly about you. Forgive them. God will be pleased with you. I see in my spirit some sisters suffering in your parent’s house just because your husband has deserted you. You think that your parents have spent so much to get you married but now you are struck with grief and sorrow and loneliness. God is aware of your hardships. Try to forgive your husband and if he comes accept him. Receive him and try to rebuild your family life. God will forgive you of your errors.

My Dear Brothers, have you despised your wives just because she is not too fair or is not so good looking ? Has she committed any mistakes? Does she listen to her parents and insults you because you are earning less than her ? Is she often leaving you alone and going to be with her parents? Kindly forgive her of her wrong deeds. Please forgive your wife, accept her. Start a new life, especially during this Christmas season. Give her another opportunity to live her life.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, This is a season of forgiveness. Have no foes. Never hold any grudge against anyone. When you forgive others God will help you live a joyous and content life. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for teaching us to forgive others of their wrong deeds. Help us not to have any grudge against others. Help us to remain friendly with others and forgive our foes if any. May we be affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another.
In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

HOPE FOR GOOD

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of   Job 30:26, “Yet when I hoped for good,  evil came.  When I looked for light then darkness came.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above passage we do understand that Job being an upright man and was blameless, one who feared God and shunned evil. Such a man who was righteous before God expected good things to happen in his life. He knew that God is good and does well especially to His children. God has laid up goodness for them that fear Him. He believed that God has promised good things unto them both temporal and spiritual for godliness and godly men during this life and that which is to come. But Job was disappointed in his expectation for he says, “I hoped for good, but evil came. When I looked for light then darkness came.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, As we all know that evil came upon Job one after another. Even when in the height of his prosperity and because of repeated evil new afflictions came upon him by the order and direction of God. The Light of outward prosperity, such as he had earlier enjoyed had dwindled off.  He had almost sought after and longed for the Light to continue in his life. He waited as any good men would want to be. Since Light is sown for them in the purposes and decrees of God. And hence one should wait for the springing of it up as the husbandman would wait for the springing up of the corn sown in the earth, and seeing that to the upright there arises light in the darkness. And though God hides His face from them, for a moment, he will have mercy on them and therefore should wait his time to be gracious to them. But Job waited for long time to no purpose.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, but the darkness of adversity, still thicker and darker and with no appearance of spiritual light and favour fell upon Job, that he could not discover the love of God to him. Job though disappointed still continued to exercise his complete faith upon God. Such that he never, ever sinned or charged God with wrong. The Bible says, in all this Job did not  sin with his lips. His friends criticised him, even his wife rebuked him but he never faltered. He said, “Though He slay me yet, will I trust Him.”  As a result God exalted him.  The Lord restored Job’s losses, as he prayed for his friends and the Lord blessed the later days of Job more than his beginning. Job lived 140 years and saw his children and grand children for four generation. This is how God blesses those who put their trust in God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, how about you ? Have you fixed your eyes upon God or is your faith on earthly people. The Bible says, It is better to trust in the Lord, Than to put confidence in man. On whom have you put your trust?

If  you endure tribulation and count it all joy, when you fall into various trials then God will turn your curse into a blessing as God blessed Job. For God raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat him with princes. With the princes of His people. Similarly the Lord will lift you up and when you commit your ways to the Lord and Trust also in Him He shall bring it to pass. Put your trust in Jesus. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord teach us to have adamant faith in God as Job did. May we apply his good nature in our life. Help us to bear our trials and afflictions with utmost patience.  Thank you Lord for setting up Job as an example of endurance and longsuffering for us to follow in our life. Bless us Lord, as you blessed Job.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God will do a new thing

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and Rivers in the desert.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God wants to do something new in your life. God promises to do something that has not occurred, some unheard of and wonderful, event. That shall far surpass, all that he had formerly done.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God says, that it shall spring up as  the grass  does from the earth. Or it shall bud forth like the opening leaves or flowers. This denotes the manner in which the events of divine providence come to pass. God says, “I will even make a way in the wilderness.” By this the prophet describes the care which God would show, in protecting His people and providing for them in conducting them to their promised land. While they were walking through the dry desert, the poor and needy sought for water, but there was none to provide. Their tongues failed out of thirst. God heard them. He did not forsake them. He provided them water from the rock. God says, “I will open rivers in desolate heights and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water. And the dry land a springs of water. ”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, not only did God provide them water in the wilderness, but He also provided them with Manna,   food from heaven. He gave them during the forty years, of their travel in the wilderness. Secondly he provided quails in the evenings for the people to gather, as they wanted meat for their food. These are the new things that God provided them while they travelled through the desert.

God says, that he did all these things that they might know, that the hand of the Lord had done this. And the holy one of Israel has created it. Thus all the former things which He had foretold had come to pass and by this He proves that He alone was God. He had foretold all the events through the prophets, to His people, which had all been fulfilled. Hence the wilderness and the wasteland shall   be glad for them.  And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice. Even with joy and singing. They shall see the glory of God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Our God is a God of wonders. He does wonders beyond numbers. Just as God performed many new things for the people of Israel, in the wilderness, God wants to do new things in your life. He wants to set right all that is crooked in your life. He wants to uplift the status of your life. All these years, you might not have been able to succeed in your life. He has seen all your hardships all these years.  But God wants to put a stop to all your misery and lift you up. He has turned His face towards you. He wants to bless you with a good job, a good family. He wants to prosper your business and increase your investments.  He always desires to bless the work of your hands. So cheer up. Await a miracle to happen in your life. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for seeing our   sorrow and our poor state of life.  Thank you for causing your face to shine upon us. Make us to understand your goodness towards us. And help us to do well in our life and be successful in all the efforts that we take.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

The Incredible Power

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 32:4, “Also the heart of the rash will understand knowledge. And the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that the heart and the tongue of the person is equally important. The heart plans and their minds are intent upon it.  The liberal heart devices liberal things concerning God and desires that God will grant him wisdom and prudence, The heart of those that hurried and reckless. “The stammerers” are those who have no power to speak clearly and fluently.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,   the Bible says, there are many plans in a man’s heart. Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel that will stand.  And he who understands will find good. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Hence keep your heart with all vigilance. For from it flows the springs of life. The Bible says, The tongue has incredible power. The tongue is a little member but boasts great things. At times it defiles our whole body. All animals, birds, reptiles and every creatures of the sea can be tamed and has been tamed by  mankind. But no man can   tame the tongue.  We bless and curse with the same tongue. For   Death and Life are in the power of the tongue. Which means that both Death and Life are in the way you use your tongue. Surrender to the Lord by saying like prophet Isaiah “’ Lord I am undone. Because  I am a man of unclean lips.”

Therefore we need to be careful while we use the tongue. For the Bible says, If anyone does not hurt another by his tongue he is a perfect man. May God help all those who read this message to be wise in their conversation.  Let   your conversation be seasoned with grace. For the lips of the wise spread   knowledge. Often men do not reject what is evil. He has stopped to be wise and to do good. And the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. The fullness of the heart springs through the tongue.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, It is sometimes painful to see some youngsters do things in a hasty manner. They never pray to the Lord before they begin to do any particular thing, rather in a hurried manner they make their own decision and finally land up in a mess or in some kind of unnecessary problems or difficult situation. They get entangled in unwanted issues.  Later they would regret for the wrong decision they had taken. Then they would cry out to God to rescue them out of their problem. For such kind of youngsters,  God  is going to change your heart to realize sound knowledge and good understanding. Then you will pray to the Lord before you take up any decision in your life. And you will also be able to make the right decision in your life. You will never suffer for your hasty decision. God will bless you when you plead your cause before Him. He will solve all your problems.

As children of God you ought to be patient. Those who have patience do things wisely. In the days to come you will do all things with much discretion? May you keep your heart with all diligence for out of it springs the issues of life. May the Lord protect your heart and anoint your tongue by the help of the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit of God descends upon you, then you will not stammer, but speak fluently.  God will touch your tongue with a rod of God’s power and heal your tongue.  The bondages of every tongue are being broken. So you will speak good things, that which is fruitful and desirable to God. God bless you with sound knowledge and good understanding. God bless you.

Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for teaching us how to use our tongue and reason with our heart. Lord help us to adhere to your words and apply in our life so that we may not get entangled in unwanted problems but maintain a peaceful life. Teach us to walk diligently, intelligently and with better perception of all the happenings around.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Build your faith in the Lord

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given you today is from the book of Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”.  We need to have strong faith in God. Learn to put your trust in the Lord for He will always be your ever present help.

The bible talks about a person named Abraham. Abraham is the father of faith. Abraham was strong in his faith. Abraham did not have a child for many years. At the age of 75, God promised Abraham that He would bless him with a son. When he was 100 years old, the Lord fulfilled the promise of blessing him with a baby boy (Isaac). Hebrews 11:17 says, “By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son…”.  Abraham had great faith in God. He knew that God had a plan for him and so without any further questions, he did what the Lord told him. God told Abraham to sacrifice his only son. Even at this moment, Abraham had great faith in God. As Abraham did exactly what the Lord had asked him, the Lord spared his son’s life and gave Abraham a goat to be sacrificed. God blessed Abraham and his generation.

You must also learn to build your faith in God. God is the only one whom you can trust completely. He knows every desire of your heart. Whenever you do anything, you must know that through Christ you will be able to finish what you have been called for. God encourages you to do well in life because you are very dear to Him.  God will not test you beyond your capacity. He is a compassionate God. He will do the best for you.

Dearly beloved, you need to be focused in what you do. The bible says, “Faith is the confidence in what you hope.” Learn to trust God at all times. Have faith in Him. If there is any problem that you are facing and do not know what to do, just trust in the Lord and tell Him your problem. He will be with you and guide you.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, I pray that Your children may grow strong in their faith in You. Father, may Your children experience Your faithfulness in their lives. May You guide them and show them the way in which they should go. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
