My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” These were the last words spoken by Jesus to His disciples. The above context is the conclusion of our Lords sermons to His disciples.
Jesus was sharing about His departure from the Earth, to prepare a place for them and all about the persecutions and afflictions they should endure for His sake and the many blessings, both of grace and glory they should enjoy. He also spoke to them, about the oncoming tribulation in the world. While there were tribulations and problems in the world He realised that there was no true peace to be enjoyed for the people in the world. He knew very well that the world could not give that peace. One can enjoy real peace only through Christ who is the object of all grace.
Christ gives peace by His blood on the cross; and there is peace in Him which is enjoyed through faith. Christ is the omniscient God and truth Himself. Christ became a fountain of peace. He says to His disciples, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
My dear brothers and sisters, today the Lord wants you to live in peace and harmony. It is the devil who comes to steal, kill and to destroy. But Jesus came that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly.
Everyone has troubles in this world. No one is at peace. Everyone goes through oppression. But God will not tempt you beyond, your capacity. The Bible says, “No temptation has overtaken you except, what is common to mankind. And God is faithful.” He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. Therefore, however the situation may be; Remember that God is in control of your life. He will solve all your problems. He will deliver you from all your obstacles. Cast your care upon Him for He cares for you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord you know the pain and agony that your children go through. Relieve them of their distress. Do not test them beyond their capacity. Lord! send your angels and comfort them. Wipe away their tears. Change their sorrow into joy. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Exodus 3:7 The Lord said, “I have seen the misery of my people, in Egypt. I have heard them crying out, because of their slave drivers and I am concerned about their suffering.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters, God had a clear and distinct sight of the sufferings of his people in the cruel hands of Pharaoh. He had sympathy, affectionate and concern for them. Hence he decided to deliver them. He had thoroughly observed their affliction and he too was afflicted. In His love and pity, He redeemed them and took them to the Land of Canaan.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, in the same manner, God notices your affliction and your sorrows. To such people God will be their comfort. My Dear Brothers and Sisters, your problems might have increased considerably and you might not able to bear it any further. Sometimes you may say, “I am afraid of all my sufferings.” Call upon God. He hears your cry. God will come down in a marvellous manner and rescue you from all your owes. All you need to do is to seek God and commit your ways unto Him. He saves the needy from their distress and gives hope to the poor. God is not a man that he should lie. Nor is He a son of man that He should repent. Has He not promised to help you and will He not do it? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth and spirit. He will also hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him. He hears the cry of the widow the fatherless, the alien and the poor. Therefore dear brothers and sisters, I urge you to commit your ways unto the Lord and put your Trust in Him and He shall bring it to pass. God says, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me. Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. “
Yes, my dearly beloved, God wants to do mighty things in your life. Therefore, seek God and He will bless you with great blessings. He will never forsake you nor forget you. He who called you is faithful. Trust Him for all your needs. He will prosper you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank you for hearing the cries of my children. You know the miseries of my children. Lord! I pray that You may be merciful upon them and bring them out of their afflictions. We wait upon You Oh God. Strengthen my children while they go through affliction and bring them out of their bondages and deliver them from the hands of the evil ones. Be their comforter. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Genesis 24:56-58 But he said to them, “Do not hinder since the Lord, has prospered my way, send me away that I may go to my Master.” So they called Rebekah and said to her “Will you go with this man? And she said I will go”.
Abraham’s servant Eliezer, put the nose ring on her nose and the bracelets on her wrists. Both Laban, and Bethuel agreed to give away Rebekah to be the wife of Abraham’s son Isaac. Therefore Eliezer bowed before the Lord, for having led him in the way of truth. He then presented all kinds of jewels, and gave them to Rebekah. The members of the family wanted to retain Rebekah for about ten days. Then Eliezer spoke the above words. “Do not hinder since the Lord, has prospered my way, send me away that I may go to my Master.”
Laban and other members of her family asked her if she was willing to go along with Eliezer to her husband’s house. So they called Rebekah and said to her “Will you go with this man? And She said I will go. By this she was giving her consent to marry Isaac. She was decent and modest in behaviour. And she was expressive of her agreeing to go with the man (Eliezer) She did not object to their request. Rather she had a strong inclination, to the proposal. And she was determined on it. And perhaps was under a divine impulse, which strongly wrought upon her and caused her to be so willing to leave her own people and her father’s house.
After the death of his mother, Isaac needed someone to comfort him. He waited patiently for the right time. And as he expected God blessed him with Rebekah to be his wife. She became his wife and he loved her. Hence Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, when you make the right decision like Rebekah, you shall be surely blessed. She was humble and diligent. She knew the importance of marriage and had the responsibility to make the right choice. She was willing to leave her father’s house and move forward to her husband’s house. She gladdened the hearts of her family members. That’s why Laban blessed his sister saying, “May you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands.” God will bless you also as He blessed Rebekah. All that you got to do is to wait on the Lord, and make the right decision in your life. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. God says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye. He will perfect that which concerns you.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord teach us to be humble and be diligent like Rebekah. Help us to make the right decision in our life. Thank you Lord for revealing to us the way of truth. May we be obedient and dedicated in our work like Eliezer. Lord lead us in the way of righteousness, for we commit our future in Your blessed hands. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Deuteronomy 11:14, “I will send rain on your land, in its season, “the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your new wine, and your oil. And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock that you may eat, and be filled.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters we understand from the above context that God will give you the rain over your land in order to make it fruitful, at the proper time. The above verse indicates that rain falls, in due season, to water the seed, that it might take root, and grow and spring up. The rain falls, before harvest, to ripen the corn and make them yield more and more. The Bible says, Be glad then you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God. For He has given you the former rain faithfully. And He will cause the rain to come down for you. Then your threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall over flow, with new wine and oil.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters when the sight of the Lord falls upon a person, firstly the Lord will renew and bloom their financial status that seems to be dead. The Lord will bring them out of that shame. Hallelujah! The Lord will pour out a blessed rain upon your business in due season, in order that you might gather your grain, new wine and olive oil. That due season may be this year, 2019 that the Lord has crowned for you. The Lord who will crown this year, with His goodness will bring an end to all your poverty and failures. And once again your business will spring forth and hence the Lord is pouring out His words upon you. The Lord is pouring out His Holy Spirit upon you. And you shall grow prosperous. The Lord says, In due season, in order that God might lift you up, you need to humble yourself, in the mighty hands of the Lord. That good season has come now. Hence Receive the Blessing of the Lord. You don’t need any one else to lift you up. God himself will lift you up. So do not worry. Be cheerful in the Lord.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we pray that You will establish the work of your hands. Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. Return O Lord and have compassion on your servants. Let our barns be filled with plenty and our vats to overflow with new wine. Lord bless us according to your mercy. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Daniel 3:17, 18,” If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace. And He will deliver us from your hand. But if not, let it be known to you O king that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up”.
The above context is about the three friends of Daniel namely Shad rack, Meshach and Abed –Nego. These three men were determined to serve the living God. They refused to bow before the golden image which king Nebuchadnezzar, had set up. They were clear about their calling. They knew the purpose of God’s calling in their lives. So they boldly challenged the king of Babylon. Though the king increased the heat of the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated they still refused to bow before the golden image. That was their determination for God. As a result the king commanded the mighty men to cast them into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. So they were bound and thrown into the midst of the fire. The king was astonished to see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire and they were not burnt. The fire had no power over their bodies. The hair of their head was not burnt, nor their garments affected, and the smell of the fire was not on them. The king was surprised to see these three men strolling about, in the midst of fire alive. He strongly believed that there was no other God, who can deliver like this. So he promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abed- Nego in the province. This is how God exalts His people. In a moment they were upgraded. Life was transformed.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, God can transform your life too if you will submit yourself to the Lord, like these three men who knew their calling and were firm in their decision. They had great faith in the God whom they served. I am sure God has a purpose for you in your life. You have been called to do something special in life. For He who is called you is faithful. You need to know the definite will of God. You should know why God has called you for. Where there is no guidance the people fall. But in abundance of counselors there is victory. You need to heed to the voice of God. Be firm in your calling. If you need to be healthy , wealthy, and lead a contented life, then you need to cling on to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith. When you are firm about your calling then you can avert from being fallen. Whether it is your education, business, job undertaking or marriage settlement, seek Gods counseling. Then you shall be successful.
God bless you.
Prayer:
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for instilling an urge to remain true to You in our life. To seek Your counselling in all that we do. Lord reveal your plan and purpose for me in my life. Help us to be like the three friends of Daniel who stood the test, and rose victoriously to greater heights. In Jesus Name we pray.
Amen.
