Beloved Children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Ruth 2:12, “The Lord repay your work.”
The background for this verse is the story of Ruth. After her husband’s death, she did not live according to her heart’s desires or follow after young men. Instead, she remained steadfast in her holiness. Seeing her character, Boaz said to her, “The Lord repay your work, and all the people of my town know that you are a virtuous woman.” Because of her good character, the Lord rewarded her abundantly. Ruth did not question whether the Lord would bless her. She simply remained faithful, safeguarding her holiness. Even though she was alone, she stood by her mother-in-law, settled in her town, and declared, “Your God is my God.” She lived a life pleasing to God, and in return, He blessed her with Boaz, a good husband. The Lord Himself honored her by making her part of the lineage of Jesus Christ.
A Message for You Today
Perhaps today you are facing struggles. You may be saying, “Lord, I want to live a life pleasing to You, just like Ruth.” Maybe there are past mistakes or moments when you did not walk in a way that pleased God. But take heart! The Lord sees your heart and desires to bless you. He will repay your work! God praised Noah, saying, “On this earth, before Me, I have seen you to be righteous.” When the Lord praises someone, it means they have truly lived a life pleasing to Him. If you want to receive such praise from God, commit yourself to a life of holiness and faithfulness today. The Lord will give you a fair reward according to your deeds. If you are a young widow, the Lord will restore your life. If your family is broken, He will rebuild it. If you are waiting for a life partner, surrender your past to God and ask for His forgiveness. He is merciful and will bless you with a good spouse. If you have been longing for a child, trust in the Lord and pray, “Lord, I believe I will receive the fruit of the womb.” The Lord will remove your reproach and grant you joy.
A Powerful Testimony:
Brother Anbuazhagan from Trichy attended the Anbarin Paathathil fasting meeting. He was struggling to start a business, and every effort he made failed. Confused and burdened, he sought individual prayer from Brother Stephen. During the prayer, Brother Stephen declared, “Do not fear, the Lord will do great things.” Soon after, by the grace of God, doors opened for him, and he was able to start a successful business. Today, he is blessed and happy. His spiritual effort was honored by God, and He rewarded him abundantly. The same Lord who blessed Brother Anbuazhagan will also bless you. Remain faithful, and He will repay your work!
A Prayer of Blessing:
Loving Lord, we thank You. In the name of Jesus, I bless Your children. You have promised to grant a reward according to their works. If their past works have not been pleasing to You and have brought struggles, pain, and shame, I pray that You forgive them today and make them a new creation. From this day forward, may they run the good race. May they witness many good things and joyful events in their lives. Keep them safe from sickness and disease, and let them live in happiness and divine favor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
