Beloved children in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May God bless you. Today’s Mangala Vaarthai is taken from Psalms 111:10:
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
Wisdom is a great blessing from God. He freely bestows this wisdom even on those who struggle academically and raises them to great heights. When you compare worldly knowledge with divine wisdom, wisdom weighs far more. Even the highest worldly qualifications like a PhD or MD cannot compete with the wisdom that comes from above.
What is the way to receive this wisdom?
This verse tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Living with reverence and fear of the Lord is the key to unlocking this heavenly blessing. If you cultivate this quality, God will empower you to achieve remarkable things. This wisdom will enable you to excel and build a good reputation in this world.
Perhaps in the past, you lost opportunities—whether in life, career, or business—because of a lack of wisdom. Let today mark a new beginning. Commit to doing your job, your business, and your ministry with God-given wisdom and excellence. Just as foreign kings marveled at Solomon’s great wisdom, God will grant such wisdom to you and your children. People will testify about your children’s wisdom, saying, “We cannot believe how wise they are!” If your children are struggling with their studies or lack understanding, ask the Lord to fill them with His divine wisdom. This will secure their bright future.
Let’s hear a testimony:
Brother Nadasamy from Erode shares, “I was addicted to smoking and could not overcome it. One day, I watched Brother Stephen’s message on TV. During the program, he called out my name and said, ‘The Lord is setting you free.’ Immediately, I knelt in reverence and prayed along with Brother. The word spoken touched my heart, and from that moment, I was delivered from the addiction to smoking. Now, I am happy in the Lord.” When God called his name, he was filled with godly fear, and through that, God gave him the strength to overcome his addiction. Today, if you are struggling with sin or bad habits, God can give you the wisdom and strength to break free.
Prayer: Dear Lord, we thank You.
Lord, Your Word says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally.” Teach them how to talk, walk, work, conduct business, and do ministry with Your guidance. Bless my children with a bright and successful future.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
