Beloved Children of God in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Isaiah 60:20, “For the Lord will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.”
This means that if your days of mourning are to end, the Lord’s everlasting light must shine upon you. Today, even if you are surrounded by darkness, the Lord will be your light. The prophet Micah says: “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” (Micah 7:8) It may be true that you feel fallen or trapped in darkness — overwhelmed by sin or caught in trouble. But the Lord is your light! He will bring you out of the darkness and put an end to your mourning. Are you sitting in a dark room, overwhelmed with tears, thinking about your future or your children? Are you burdened with sorrow, slipping into depression? Today, the Lord declares that He will bring you out of your darkness and turn your sorrow into joy.
Perhaps your results came in, and your marks are lower than expected. Do not worry! It is possible for the Lord to turn your situation around and help you gain admission to the college you desire. Your sorrow will turn into joy, and your days of mourning will end today. The Lord can change your situation in just a moment. Maybe you are struggling to make ends meet, facing dues or financial commitments at the month’s end, unsure of how to pay. Cry out to the Lord for help. He is a good and faithful God, and He will meet your needs — even sending unexpected blessings your way.
If your days of sorrow are ending, it means your days of rejoicing are about to begin. As you step into a new month, trust that the Lord will bring new blessings and fill your mornings with joy.
A Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
Brother Lawrence from Chennai shares his testimony:
“It had been 5 years since my wife and I got married, and we were still waiting for the gift of a child. Our lives were filled with sorrow and darkness. In our desperation, we attended the Anbarin Paathathil fasting meeting. At the end of the prayer, we approached Brother Stephen and asked for prayer. He prayed for us earnestly and blessed us with a Mangala Vaarthai. By God’s grace, that blessing was fulfilled. My wife conceived after 5 long years, and the Lord graciously blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Our tears of sorrow turned into tears of joy. We thank and praise God for His miracle in our lives.”
Prayer
Loving Lord, we thank You. You have said, “For the Lord will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended. On this last day of the month, let my children’s sorrows come to an end. Open new chapters of light in their lives, and turn their mourning into joy. Intervene in their pain, heartache, and sadness, and do a miracle in their lives. In Jesus’ Name,
